phyllosilicate:
How would you know the North protested, so far there were many Igbos would you care?

You could have made your point without bringing Igbo into it, Mr. "south-south man"

The conference in addition to having reps from geo-political zones, also had reps from ethnic nationalities.
it will benefit you the more to go back and read the criteria for selection of delegates to that confab, rather than exhibiting your learned ignorance here in the name of equity.

Then it was GEJ harming the economy and not Sanusi.

Thow the baby away with the bad water. Typically what most commentators are saying.

Who is the ADC to issue such directive? What is the constitutional provision on who guards the president?

We seem to easily give in to sentiments. DSS is being perceived as having worked for GEJ, but be that as it may, the ADC does not have such prerogative.

We are keenly watching this script being played out. I'm not sure I know how its going to end.

I said building consensus across the nation for POLITICAL INTERESTS. My point is , If we want the presidency, we should reach out for support to other tribes. All this unecessary bickering with other tribes affects us negatively.

How long do you think we should continue reaching out? You guys have made it perpetually impossible for d igbos to attain dat office by your skewed census figures over the years. Keep your presidency cos you don't trust d igbo enough to let them get there.
GEJ was perceived to be igbo and was attacked and bombarded to submission. How much more an igbo man?
You will understand this only when you have an instance where a less qualified and competent person is made to head you who is better experienced and qualified. Until then.........

Our problem is not secession. Our problem is learning how to live with other tribes in harmony while doing our businesses. Our focus should be on how to build consensus across the nation for vital political interests.

Igbo are the most integrated people in Nigeria with business interests across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. Most of our people will become jobless or stay and be killed the moment a secession is declared.

.

On the one hand, igbos are the most integrated people in Nigeria. On the other hand, they should learn how to build consensus and live in harmony with the rest of Nigerians.

Can you please stick to one narrative. Have you seen a place where the igbos are killing their hosts or invading unsuspecting communities?
By building consensus do you mean the igbos should simply accept anything or anyone from other parts of d country just so they won't be seen as not supporting other groups?
Do we need to beg anyone to be relevant in d politics of Nigeria?
Truth is, the igbos have sacrificed a lot for this country, and at every turn they are being hounded.
If you don't want us to have equal opportunities and stake in this contraption, better relax and let us go

Politics / Re: Why Osinbajo Has Been 'locked Out' Of Buhari’s Security Meetings - Daily Post by Algebra12: 12:39pm On Jun 11, 2015
These are really irrelevant excuses.
So if the President were a complete civilian, he wouldn't have been allowed to such meetings?

I believe the reason for his exclusion is not contained in this silly excuse.
But whatever that is, it had better be for the good of the nation.

Security of lives is one important ingredient we need, to improve the livability of our cities. Most people I know would rather not visit, not to talk of living in the east, due majorly to security concerns.

Government policies have never targeted at improving the earning ability of average easterner. By this , I mean, policies that encourage businesses to set up and employ others. if this id done, many young people will prefer living in the east to other non-eastern states. Take Enugu state as example.

Little wonder he could only reduce the PMS pump price be jst #10 while the general per $ Barrel of PMS has dropped by 59%.

Sorry, do you mean the ones collected by numerous Agberos and task forces in Lagos?

Back to topic. It is more economical to block avenues of corruption than spending more money prosecuting those who benefited from the porous system.

Why lie under oath that your certificates are with secretary of the military board when is was stolen?

They are two parallels that contradict each other. We are not buying it.

Buhari must show us his certificates or be disqualified. And he must be procsecuted to lying under oath.

Change means:

A country that you can be proud of at anytime and anywhere: where corruption is punished, where your leaders are disciplined and lead with vision and clarity; where the stories that emerge to the world from us are full of hope and progress.
A Nigeria in which neither yourselves, nor your parents, families or friends will have to fear for your safety, or for theirs.
A Nigeria where citizens get the basics that any country should provide: infrastructure that works, healthcare that is affordable, even free; respect for the environment and sustainable development, education that is competitive and outcome-oriented in a knowledge-economy.
A country that provides jobs for its young people, reducing unemployment to the lowest of single digits and providing safety nets so that no one is left behind.
A Nigeria where entrepreneurship thrives, enterprise flourishes and the government gets out of your way so that you can create value, build the economy and aggressively expand wealth.

Are these things truly possible? Of course. That is the essence and outcome of leadership, and that is what my party and I promise you as we get into 2015.

Thank you and God bless Nigeria.”

My oh my!!!

I need a country where there is equal opportunity whether you are from the north, east or west.

I need a country where I have a future as a youth not where septuagenarians rule.

I need a future where I will be free to practice my faith without anyone harassing me to become a moslem.

I need a future where I can vie for positions without anyone telling me I'm from the west or east.

I don't need a future where my ability, opportunities and chances are subjected to quota and federal character.

....And that, General, you cant give me.
