Majority of us still believe in one Nigeria and one method-fits-all. As such, it is what butters my bread not giving a hoot what the other person gets.

My point which by the way you missed , is the fact that this topic should not and must not be made about the Igbo nation. There is really no need to bring the Igbo into this conversation.

They operate like the shiite group who will never succumb to the local authorities of their communities but rather form their own government within another government. This is why an Eze was flogged in ondo and Oba of lagos threatened them with lagoon all because of the same attitude. Who knows if the community king in Malaysia invoked the spirits of their ancestors to terminate the existence of the so called Eze ndigbo. Even though i love and have nothing against the igbos, i think they should learn to respect their host"

Have you seen the reason its dangerous to align with a yoruba man undecided

I think it is highly instructive for you to stick to the topic of discussion.

It is very hypocritical for you to make this about the Igbo nation.

Aribasala pointed out the obvious reasons why Tinubu is going thru his present travails and all you could do is to make it about the Igbo?

No wonder people are skeptical about this "southern unity" . You have to come off your high horse.

Buhari is not our problem. We are our own problem.

Granted, Buhari has not shown commitment in resolving some salient issues that bother on bias, nepotism, and transparency. However, he has proven himself to be honest and upright. Let's see where his ship sails to before we conclude.

Nigerians must change first before real change can occur. I have already written an article on this before. If we don't change the way we behave, our public order, our lifestyles, etc, no government policy will work for us. Buhari is 100% right on this.

Also take note that a country's president is not easily removed except the president resigns which I don't see happening in Nigeria. So this campaign is dead on arrival.

#IStandWithNigeria

If we are our problem as you said, why did we have to bring in a man who has divided us further, Who has worsened the condition of living of honest and hardworking Nigerians?
Buhari cannot beat his chest and say he has been honest in the ways he has been handling the affairs of the Nigerian State, so stop speaking for him. Instances abound of Buhari's dihonesty, nepotism, bias and tribalism as well as vengefulness.
And if by now you haven't seen where his ship is headed, then you must be superclueless.

As for standing with Buhari, you can do that all your life, but now, he cant run Nigeria aground. Nigeria is all we have and one man cannot sink it. Therefore he must go.

Ever since, he has treated us as 97% and 5%.

He lied to us that Boko Haram has been technically defeated, yet #Edodecides was postponed for fear of Boko Haram.

A lot of people have been murdered by Fulani herdsmen yet PMB has never deemed it fit to curtail their activities.

Ok, Was PMB not the one who said he would make his asset declaration public??

He has moved Fuel prize from N87 to N145 after more than 3 months excruciating scarcity.

In arms probe, Dambazua was indicted, yet he still remains in Buhari’s cabinet.

General Buratai is yet to explain how he acquired his Dubai mansions.

What about 2016 Budget? first it got missing, reappeared doctored. When eventually passed, we found it was padded.

Buhari has banned the BBOG campaigners from protesting in Abuja.

He sanctioned the killing of Shiites and detaining indefinitely El-Zakzakky. Nnamdi Kanu has been in detention for God knows how long. http://allafrica.com/view/group/main/main/id/00040328.html

To cap it all, Buhari has led us into recession.

clevadani:
Nice thought provoking piece. But I have to say that it is lace with lies and half-truths
How can u generalise and say that the igbos are the main targets and victims of bombings in the north or that it is only igbo businesses that are suffering as a result of d carnage in the north.
I know the author is trying to engender unity within the igbos, but that does not mean that he has to wickedly twists facts and try to whip up ethnic hatred between igbos and other tribe. I'm not sure what Obasanjo did in Onitsha but can vividly remember what happened in Udi. Is Udi Igboland? Why is the writer crying more than the bereaved? Besides I can't remember any prominent Igbo group speaking for Udi during that period. Is it because Obasanjo was a pdp man then? And now a party you rejected is now in power, u guys can't play opposition politics?
I was born and brought up in the ss and 70 percent of my friends are igbos but i have never heard anyone saying they are being persecuted for being igbos. Neither have I heard them saying their relations in part of the country is targeted. They all live like the average Nigerian suffering the effects of bad leadersip at every level.
Though I have to say, the Igbos are special. They have amazing entreprenuer abilities and are always ready to work. But I have to say their problems are not peculiar neither is it caused by the Nigerian state. The problem the Igbos have is visible in all of Sub Saharan Africa. It is the problem of bad leadership. Peter Obi and t.a Orji received the same allocations during their tenures, but compare Abia and Anambra. Aba has the potential to become not just the manufacturing hub,but also the no1 marketplace in W Africa. They have the potential to generate enough revenue to fund projects. But what happened?
This is already too long. But if majority of Igbos feel that biafra is the only way out,let their leaders start looking for diplomatic means to exit. Not war
I believe in Nigeria

The first bolded; There is no generalisation in his statement. If you will be truthful to yourself, you will understand that most upheavals and massacres in the north have their primary targets as Igbos or Easterners. Any other group involved are most times collateral.
And if those groups feel they dont need raise alarm, goodluck to them.

The second bolded; Isn't it obvious that majority of Igbos don't feel belonged in Nigeria and wants out? Isn't it people of your nationality that is crying more than the bereaved and insisting we remain in this contraption with you?
Incidentally, the OP talked about the few political elites of Eastern region who feel we must remain here cos their bread is buttered somehow, and you want same people to "look for diplomatic" means of exit. Tell me, Clevadani, how is that really possible?

Now you have truly lost me. Am scratching my head trying to understand what you meant, by saying: "Biafra is a geographical located just off the coast of the Bight of Biafra. It simply is not a creation of Ojukwu and does not constitute only Igbo people."

Can you explain this? My thoughts were that Biafra comprises of the South-East (SE) Igbo as well as indigenous Igbo in the Niger-Delta. Is that correct? undecided

The geographical area called Biafra was derived from the name of the surrounding coastal waters, the Bight of Biafra. And within this area, you find other ethnic nationalities in addition to the igbo people.
The south east of Nigeria as we know it today, isn't really d geographical south east of Nigeria, but a political south east. The south east would be all the area East of the Niger.

Lemme split it out for u, Nigeria has 6 regions that made her federation unit currently. Unlike those days when it was purely 3,thigns have change. The south South is same as north Central and this regions are predominantly politically dift and conscious too.

So what I was says is that, the Biafra map of 1966 can't work again, that y I ask would

Bayelsa
.
Rivers
.
Edo
.
Cross River
.
Akwa ibom
.
Delta

still aspire for Biafra?

There is north Central and South Central and they all are fedrating units,

Check ur compass and stop arquening. In those days they weren't politically aware of their aspirations but now they do.

So stop going back to the past, the south South has come to be reckon dift from IGBOs cos they aren't IGBOs, u want dem to become the minority?

Pls stop this Biafra thing and let's all go back home and develop home, solve our problems and stop blaming others for our issues. Gbam.
You asked a question , which I addresses. Were you not expecting an answer , or you never expected the one i gave you?
My intention is to educate you that geographically, nothing like south-south. it is either south or not. I was also able to show you what Niger Delta means, geographically.
In Nigerian context, these words are just political creation of divide and rule. Yes.... Divide and Rule.
If we must return home and build our nation , a noble idea by the way, we need to address our foundational problems. And you can not pretend that these problems do not exist, otherwise you will be living in denial.

My Mum is igbo, Dad Yoruba. Married Yoruba.

1= During the last war, Ojukwu calculated the South South as Biafrans, the wealth in South South triples that of the East.

Now my questions are since it's very obvious Niger delta won't be part of this Biafrans Emancipation, how do Biafrans survive, what resources do they have to take them to places? Where would the finances comes from, Pls I need urgent answers to anybody still dreaming Biafra?

It is important you understand first, what is Niger Delta and what is South south as well as what Biafra is.
Your primary geography teaches you that a delta is a river distributory, in this case, a distributory of Niger river. It follows then that the all the places through which the Niger river empties into the ocean can be classified as NIGER DELTA.

South South is a political expression and has no meaning in Geography. you either have North, south, east and west or NE, NW SE or SW nothing like North north or south south, they simply have no geographical meaning.

Now Biafra is a geographical located just off the coast of the Bight of Biafra. It simply is not a creation of Ojukwu and does not constitute only Igbo people. Again,Your south south and Niger Delta also has a large percentage of igbo speaking communities and so, you can not just take it to mean that the Igbo is concentrated only in the five igbo speaking states.

thank you.

No. But it is a crime not to believe in the emergence of a winner after a hitch-free democratic process. . Ekiti state, Cross river state , Bayelsa state respectively did not vote for the APC but have all benefited in the Security appointments so far. There are other tribes who did not vote for the APC but you will never hear them in the media insulting a government that is not up to 100 days in office. So in ur argument, the south east are the people disparaging Buhari for his inactions.
