We administered gumboro 1 and we are now giving them embazin forte for anti cocci. Mortality as at today is 0 on the farm.

Day 5 : NEW CASTLE DISEASE VACCINE ORAL (LASOTA)
Lasota is usually given with milk in the water to destroy any ions in the water in order for the vaccine to work effectively. It is usually administered in the morning when the weather is cool just like all vaccine.

Day 4 : brooding still ongoing, mortality at farm 0 but mortality during transport 1 and 1 broke her leg inside cartoon. Tray feeders have been changed to wooden feeder to conserve feed.
Upcoming Lasota 1 at Day 5 and Gumboro 1 at Day 7

Stay tuned.

We received our birds today. Brooding start and we put glucose & center multivitamin in water for them. We lost 2 during transit but there has been no mortality on farm yet.

3150kg / 25kg per bag = 126bags of layers mash per month
126bags x 5550 (price per bag) = 699,300 naira for feeding
1k birds can 960 eggs per day at peak lay
960 eggs / 30 = 32 crates
32 crate x 30days = 960 crates
960crates x 1200 per crate = 1,152,000 naira
1,152,000 from sale of egg - 699,300 for feeding = 452700 profit

How far have u gone in your programme? The change of programme will cost you 5k. Get the form at your Study Centre and fill. Attach evidence of payment and it will be forwarded from your Study Centre to the HQ. I don't think there's period for change of programme, unless u are referring to change of Study Centre.

I noticed one of my bird crying this morning in one eye and the eye is closed while the other eye clear and okay ..... So i thought it is coryza and gave it this drug. The comb too looks like it has fowlpox but i gave fowlpox vaccine, i dont know maybe its pecking cos they have been pecking themselves lately and some of the others have wound on their comb too.

U should have used fertilizer as basal before planting.
