Believe it or not, this thread would shock a lot of people as i was shocked.

There are some cities that are very popular in some countries that we think they're the national capitals, whereas they're not.

Lets Start.

1. Dubai: Dubai is not a country as many people might believe. You hear people say "I'm going to Dubai'.
Dubai is a city in a country called UAE (United Arab Emirates) The capital of UAE is not Dubai, rather it is Abu Dhabi
Dubai is the largest city not a country or capital.

2. Johannesburg: Nigeria played South Africa last Saturday and i'm sure a lot of Nigerians would think Johannesburg is the capital.
Interestingly, South Africa has three capital cities, none of which are "Jo'Burg". Divided by branch of government, the capitals are: capital of the judiciary is Bloemfontein, capital of the administrative branch is Pretoria with Cape Town acting as the country's legislative capital.

3. Sydney: Since the Olympics in year 2000 (Sydney 2000) A lot of people think Sydney is the capital of Australia. It is not. Iconic though its harbor and opera house may be, it doesn't get star billing. Canberra, which is just a few years away from its centennial celebration, is actually capital of the land. It is not Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.

4. Munich/Frankfurt: Many Nigerians would know Munich and Bayern Munich or 1860 Munich, likewise Frankfurt when JJ Okocha played in Germany. Well the Capital of Germany is Berlin.

5. Istanbul, Turkey: It may have served as capital to ancient Romans and Ottomans, but that designation is long gone for Istanbul. Ankara, a city that is perhaps most famous for its angora-producing goats, is the capital. Ankara is not the same as Aso Ebi ooo Many people might think the capital is 'Galatasaray' or Fenerbahçe

6. Switzerland: This country serves as HQ for many world Organizations like the UN, UNESCO etc. The capital is not Geneva, Neither this nor Zurich serve as this precise country's capital. The picturesque, tranquil, UNESCO-recognized town of Bern holds this honor. Roger Federer is from Basle, but not the capital.

7. Brazil: How many of you think the capital of Brazil is Rio? It's fun, exciting and has something for everyone, but that still doesn't make it Brazil's capital. While the city famous for the carnival used to be the capital, Brasilia now takes that position, not even São Paulo

8. Casablanca: Football fans are familiar with Raja Casablanca and tourists are familiar with Fez or Marrakesh. Not only is Casablanca not the capital of Morocco, neither are the other two top contenders, Fez or Marrakesh. Peaceful and culture-rich Rabat serves as this North African country's capital.

9. USA: In Trump's America, the Capital is not Las Vegas, California, Chicago, Florida or New York City. It is Washington DC

10. Spain: Many may think it is Barcelona, since Lionel Messi plays there. Capital is actually Madrid.

11. Côte d'Ivoire: In drogba's country, the capital is not Abidjan. It is Yamoussoukro

12. Italy: Capital is Rome not Milan or Juventus lol

13. Nigeria: Capital is Abuja not Lagos or Aba

14. State of Palestine: Capital is actually East Jerusalem and not Gaza City

I hate seeing him dominate the play as it is not his strength. I stopped watching the game at 60-46. We would use these losses to be serious when Curry comes back. Meanwhile, KD and Klay need to get their shots together. They are just shooting garbage.

Do you realize how many top 10 draft picks Celts have? Where is their 67 win first season and ring to go with it? Do you realize they have a better bench than GSW? I don't understand this double standard where Steve is involved.

Just save your money and don't bet on any team in the present NBA. You even get luck say this season you still fit predict, last season was weird at this stage. At least you should pick some games that you are 90% sure for a win, not a game like OKC/Kings (Kings dey mad form and Fox's balling out of his mind), same with Pacers & Hornets and Memphis... I knew they would win yesterday

Depends on how you look at it. He formed the identity of the present day Warriors but you could argue the talent was already there. Personally I don't think he is but I wouldn't put him up there with say a Greg Pop or Phil Jackson.

What I would like to see is how he fares when faced with adversity over an extended period. I think this is where I can understand if you think he is overrated since he has not faced such test thus far.

We don't have a good bench. We have not had one since we got KD. That was our price for getting him. Which is why injuries to key starters can tilt our team easily. Imagine if we did not have KD, but had Dennis Schroeder and some midlevel center. We could eke out wins another way (which we did 2014/15 and 15/16).

Look at the crop of players we use when our starters sit. McKinnie, Jones, Cook and so on. I am saying and so on because I would use Google to have to reel out the other names.

No matter what kind of coach you are, when you have a generational talent like Curry, Jordan, Bird, Shaq, Duncan, Lebron etc. You must build the team to exploit their strength. And when they are out especially unexpectedly, you will struggle. It is that simple.

Kyrie is the best player for the Celts. But he is not a generational talent. Not that he is not a top 20 NBA player today but his skillsets are not so particularly unique to him that can make a world of difference if he was out -consistently. Just like Russell or Harden or Kawhi even though all 3 are top 10 players as well.

Now go back and look at every coach that is worshipped today. Pop, Phil (top tier), Carlisle, Spoelstra (2nd tier). NCAA coaches like Coach K nko? Whenever he did not have the Grant Hills, Laettners, Zion and Barrets of this world, Duke won nothing and got beaten. Why don't people claim they are not great coaches? Because of narrative.

On this thread people have said Kyrie is better than Curry. Kawhi better than KD. PG better than Klay. Draymond offensive liability. Fine. If all these players are not fantastic why then does the coach who uses them to win still remain overrated?

One narrative was that we were a jump shooting team. Charles Barkley said jump shooting teams don't win rings. Kerr won. They said because Love and Kyrie got hurt. We went 73-9 they said it is because of shooting only 3s and used it to explain why we lost to Cavs. We were 3rd best shooting team when KD came. He got injured they said our season was over. Kerr took us to 67-15 after KD was hurt.

So what will make Kerr good? Phil coached NY Knicks. Got fired. Pat Riley coached teams without Magic and Kareem and won nothing till he got Shaq. So why are they great and Kerr overrated?
