ifihearam: Hw u take knwthe dude goes by the username Andre Uweh. He was caught once by the mods |
Andre Uweh: You must be silly for yourself to think that only Yorubas were resettled in Lagos. Yes Ajayi Crowther was not Igbo but he was not alone in his missionary activities in Igboland. He wporked with Igbo recaptives and some of this recaptives had been renamed European/Christian names. The likes of Horton, Taylor etc who helped with the spread of xtianity ion Igboland were freed-slaves from Sierra Leone via Lagos.Na wa o !!! See this ideeeiot. Taylor that was Igbo but could not even translate his own language into writing. You must be a mor.on to think Taylor who you think is an Igbo man really care about this. Taylor did not settle in Lagos rather he was in port harcourt or something. Every single family in lagos or settled in lagos have been recorded. Even Family names that have migrated from one part of Lagos to another have been recorded not to talk of Igbo person. It is this same stu,.pidity and lies that has held the Igbo people back for years. Not the civil war. You ideeiot, read about life of Taylor and show me where he ever got to Lagos, here is an Igbo man like you http://www.dacb.org/stories/nigeria/taylor_jc3.html every single "mama i dey go lagos" is never and would never be an indigene of Lagos even other yorubas too. Get that into your thick skull and make it embedded there. Maybe after we form our individual countries but if we are still Nigeria, then forget. Unless you are Ogu, Awori, Egba, Ijebu all of which are yorubas. Just forget it and look for something better to do with ur life. Thank you Again every single slave dropped in Lagos has a family record and can be traced back. There is no single Igbo or what mess not. Thanks |
Ngodigha1: Hello my good people of Delta state. I am from Ibusa in Delta state from Chigbue's compound.Nope you are not from delta but Andre Uweh from Imo state. why lie ![]() |
Andre Uweh: There were Ndigbo who were resettled n Lagos and this group helped with the propagation of xtianity in Igboland. Trust me, not only Yorubas were resettled in Lagos.Andre Uweh LOL ![]() My brother I respect you but please STFU !!! Nothing connecting Lagos and Igbo together other than Nigeria. No Igbo settled in Lagos as a returnee slave. Saro people have no connection with Igbos. Bawo ni, eku ile etc are not Igbo words Every single family that settled in Lagos has been recorded. There are no Uche and co in the book. Even other Yorubas that are not indigenous to Lagos can be pointed out not to talk of Igbos. Ajayi Crothwer is not an Igbo man o !!!. Thanks ![]() |
@ syymmex, Ilaje44 and tunny I decided to leave this thread to let Danka and co to display there stu.pidity. Please brothers lets not be tribalistic like them. We know would we are and know who others with well planned cities migrate in millions to Lagos, Ibandan, Akure and co. |
When a person like me see an Igbo man, one thing that comes to my head is positivity and team work. Igbos are very optimistic. I love Igbo women music and others like P square. They are good people in general and know how to connect well with others. Most other Nigerians have preconception about Igbos but me and the people I know in person love Igbo people. I rarely have disagreements with igbos unless of course I come on Nairaland. LOL Igbos are generally kind hearted ( at least the ones in Lagos, Rivers and Imo) just like other Nigerian groups. Still learn the language though. |
bros go for the bsc even if you had to use a total of 5 years. It pays in the long run. Alj harem |
Imagine a poster justifying a first lady collecting money for a post she does no duty in |
my belle oh !!!!! chai !!! ![]() oyb: its a family affair, its an umblerra affair. . . |
Andre Uweh: @the poster, your emphasis is only on the Yoruba recaptives. History tells us that not only yoruba groups were resettled in Lagos. Make it general please.Which other group ? thanks |
C'mon people stop this fight. we should celebrate our differences not fight over it. Pidgin is now part and parcel of Nigeria numerous languages which everyone can understand so I believe she reserves the right to speak/write in pidgin. |
Johndoe100: What amazes me on this thread is that not one person has raised the point that this is a PURELY INTERNAL MATTER of Bayelsa state. If the elected representatives of the people are happy with it, how can some vampires from the southwest be crying over what they want to do with their money. All of a sudden people who despise, yes even hate Bayelsa and all its people are now so so sad about the supposed wrong done to the state.chai !!! see reasoning. so when you spoil you state your can then travel as migrates to Lagos, Ibadan, Sabon gari, Maduguri and Akure ? Yet you would call them names as well. LOL una never see anything, the kind suffering still to come because of your bigotry would be too much for u bigots to bear. Not only you but your children's children would bear it as well for making the innocent suffer. Bros I no they curse you but just stating facts. ![]() |
ogugua88: So sad. May she rest in peace. I'm glad she saw her sons become successful and go far before she departed.Yes, she must have been a very very proud mother. God bless her for raising kids like that. |
London2lasgidi, more please. I know you are one (Saro) but I remember checking the history of Lagos and Nago people mainly contain Aworis Ogu etc In Awori I though the saro people of Nigeria were classified as part of the awori-ogu sub group in the yoruba nation. |
@ OP you disappoint me. All you would just cause is another NL battle |
LOL ![]() |
pap cake or pap pudding |
Well Nigeria is doomed ever since you increase the price of our economic commodity to world price. You should know any thing that happens in the world economically would affect us most especially negative. Na wa for pro subsidy removal without refineries o !!! |
rehpop: may GOD make it a blessed one!Amin |
dannysoya: LOL this s a complete joke. A landlocked country that will have to deal with Boko Haram on their own. FYI just because you want to declare a country does not mean that the physical land is now automatically separated from everyone else.wisdom indeed is rare but Allah has given you that in abundance. Very good post |
afam4eva: No, you can't speak for them. Do you think because i'm Igbo that i can speak for Onitsha people? I can't even speak for my village because people have different opinions and know what they want.bros afam, that is you and the Igbo culture which promotes independence. Yoruba culture is different from that and you know this. Yes I can speak for them as they can speak for me. Dayokanu and co are not Aworis/Ogus and they can speak behalf of us so bros if you are in doubt, wait and watch. Yes baifra would be a great country but just like every region, baifra economy would be small and I see a lot of migration, asylum etc from every region/mini country including baifra. |
afam4eva: Some will leave and those that remain there will be treated as foreigners.Nope they would not, they would be treated as part and parcel of odua with all the full benefits of a welfare state. |
afam4eva: You don't come from any of these places, so i don't think you have a right to decide where is removed and where is not. leave that to the Western Delta and Itshekiri/Ilaje people to decide. As for me i would want an Igbo only country as Biafra, so that problems of marginalization will never crop up. I hate that word.I can speak for them as they are yoruba groups and I am yoruba. Can Essex people speak independently from UK ? No Can white american speak independently of USA ? No ! I just said Ilaje and Itsekiri so as to remind some of those that don't know there history or territories. IN THE REAL SENSE I SHOULD HAVE SAID YORUBAS IN DELTA. Sorry my mistake An Igbo only country would be good as well if Biafra so wishes. That is up to biafra and her neigbours to decide, I was just making clear cut/ ensuring everyone inculding me got our head screwed on tight so we can enjoy a good bilateral relationship with each other. I see a great country in baifra. ![]() |
I pray that God guilds all of us. One question, what territory would be part of this new biafra. I did not like the old map as Itsekiris and Ilajes(both yoruba) were part of. I rather see a larger territory like Benue joining rather than any part of kogi or western delta. This group should park well o !!!! I am in support of it and any well meaning Nigerian should support it. If a group of people don't want to be part of Nigeria, they have every right to do so. Biafra can be decleared with her former territories but please remove western delta and added benue so it would also be a Christian republic. Best wishes I hope to travel to the new country of biafra by next year. |
lagcity: Stupid ibo boy, we don't need no damn Africom in our land. we don't need to take kogi or ilorin cos we never lost them, they are still ours. now go and continue your akpu. omo Igbo ajekutamamumithank u, u saw his stu.pid person from the start. gidson12: He is yorubasmh, no yoruba would tell u he lost kwara or/and kogi. even the ones born abroad. Again SMH |
I can give you 5 reasons why Nigeria should not break up 1. No one wants to experience another civil war again 2. Nigeria market favours some of us that are traders especially hausas, yorubas and igbos 3. A country like niger-delta would be invaded by neigbouring countries eg baifra, cameroon etc 4. Each country would be the laughing stock of the world as our economies would mean nothing 5. Too much investment by other Nigerians in states/cities like Abuja and Lagos. I don't think they are ready to lose that ! |
AjanleKoko: I have to say, redsun makes a good point. No way egbon, we are meant to be encouraging good governors not trying to discourage them. Ok Yes Fashola is corrupt, is it Obama that is not corrupt ? or Cameroun ? So long as you put the people first in your government, I would think it is an encouraging propect and should not in any form be discouraged |
Na wa o !!!! Supporting Fashola is now considered Bigotry according to redsun ? Indeed stu.pidity has no limit in the human world More people are leaving Nairaland because of silly statement such as that of redsun. Fact !!! What has GEJ done for Nigeria, compare to what governors have done. You travel to Lagos, Cross river etc and feel safe. Why not go back to your state of origin and see why others love their governors. pure rubbish |
kettykin: SE/SS/MB should boycott Dangotes productslol dum.b mentality. Why not go to Ghana or south africa where you would be burnt alive to go buy cement since you are too dumb to see how this has helped Nigeria. Dumb dumb @ Topic Ibeto can penetrate other markets in Africa aka the eastern and central africa region. Moreover when Nigeria is too big for Dangote to fully monopolise. The government needs to look into this Monopoly is not good for any economy not to talk of an emerging economy |
LOL Ritualist Baba don ask you to bring baby male lizard ? ![]() |
gregg2: I agree, only Oshiomole and Fashola are admirable in ACN.Thank you !!! |
Elueme: These two governors by origin or affiliation am conversant with, with due consideration to the resources available to them and the level of hopes they raised before coming into power e.g Oshomohle, cannot be said to be best governors. However, they have lived above boards.. Wat ll u say of Akpabio, Amaechi, Sullivan and co.. CORRECTION: They are among the performing govs..What available resources does Lagos or Edo state have compare to Delta, Rivers, Abia and cross river ? These are states that don't only get Oil revenue but also tax from those companies. Even after that, they get 13 % NDDC fund. Yes I respect Akpabio but Amaechi and Sullivan are nothing to write home about. Talk of Rochas. Yes I agree |
