FYI, even with the so-called subsidy, petrol sold much higher in the east anyway. For the past 2-3 years, we've been complaining that a liter sells for an avearge of 100 naira in the east while the price had remained 65naira in the "privilaged" north and other places.
So why would you think the same easterners who have been marginalized from everything like number of states, to good roads, to federal appointments, to official miscounting of their census, and now to the price of petrol would troop to the streets to support your protestss
