kingoflag:Yes that is what is going on and that is the most annoying part of the issue. That is why you would see them calling others Parasites which is a new slang used to describe all other Nigerians apart from themselves. But my brother, please don't give up. that is what they want us to do but we should not give them the pleasure of that. thanks |
moreover all of a sudden Edo is no longer a south-south state even more surprising NC/middle is no longer in the political mix of SS/MB/SE ? see what tribalism can cause, It make people think like fishes out a pond |
these people are robbers bast.ards |
Beaf we are still waiting unless these questions are unanswerable ?smh |
realchange:when did Edo not become "really" "south-south" ? Are you the one to chose who is south-south or not ? |
chima12:Yes I am a parasite for demanding accountability from my government Yes I am a parasite devoid of tribalism and petty sentiments such as SS/SE Yes I am a parasite for standing AGAINST TRIBALISM IN POLITICS AND CORRUPTION. Yes I am a parasite for speaking the truth. Yes I am a true PARASITE. ![]() |
Very soon Fashola would account for tinubu's expenditure. Just very soon ACN PDP they are all the same |
The truth is, GEJ and his 'thieving' cabinet have been confronted with these and several other valid questions and they have failed completely to provide any response. Rather like biblical 'pigs' they are hell bent on driving Nigerians into the sea of despair, poverty and untimely death!
it really appears so. That is why I get annoyed when goons try to support corruption because of there tribalistic brains. We keep giving them chances During Obj = give him a chance During yaradua = give him a chance during IBB = give him a chance during abacha = give him a chance etc I am fled up of given the FG chances without accountability. We can't just keep giving FG chances, One day it has not stop isn't it ? well this protest is the only chance for that. |
BEAF I really really hope you can answer those questions in truthfulness |
Beaf:I prefectly understand your point. You are talking of diversity in the economy and reduce out over dependence of OIL. Yes I and others get it and It makes perfect sense. Also your second line of argument is that the removal of subsidy would kill the cabal in one stroke. Yes we perfectly understand the importance of it and thank God GEJ though of it as well. Now protester understand this issue and understand the importance of the removal and how it would "boost out economy" according to Sanusi. Here are our questions. 1. How can we diversify if there are no infrastructure in place like the chemical plant in port harcourt used when agricultural subsidy was removed. 2. Would there be subsidy if the FG/NNPC has a refinery ? I mean we would be refining what we produce and thus the cabals would have died a long time ago. And would it not make more sense to build the refinery now before it is too late. 3. Why is NNPC and government giving false figures to Nigerians ? 4. To stop benefit smugglers of fuel, do you think the best thing to do is to either a) close the borders or b) remove subsidy ? 5. Why are the cabals not arrested since the FG branded them as thieves or "benefit thieves" ? 6. After this deregulation and since there are no reservoir our NNPC could store petrol in, would there not still be benefit thieves ? I mean according to Madueke she said 3 naira per liter is the money they use for storing petrol with other private companies. Now to me that is still stealing or is it not ? 7. Why can't the FG show us the tangible infrastructure or development so as to gain the trust of the people before the removal ? I mean I love GEJ for his calm nature but I think you just don't push people to the limit without them reacting. Once again thanks for Your calm reply and I really hope that GEJ presidency would be a stepping stone to greatness in our beloved country. |
sniperwolf:so you know then why are you saying NLC should give the government a chance ? |
Beaf:I am sorry but I have to say you are paid to do what you are doing on Nairaland 1. You have not addressed the issue, rather you are biding around the bush and you post has no substance 2. It seems you don't know what people are protesting for or maybe you know but rather IGNORE it since it does not affect you. 3. 90 % of the protesters are pro-GEJ thus this is not about OUR president but the policies 4. To stop benefit smugglers of fuel, do you think the best thing to do is to either a) close the borders or b) remove subsidy ? Please answer. 5. The government since 2010 has not showed any improvement of production in any sector of our economy, is it the same government that would all of a sudden us the money from subsidy right ? 6. Why is the government giving us wrong values ? Based on what Iweala said, we spend 1.3 trillion on subsidy but based on the figures given to us by her and sanusi, we spend 900 billion on subsidy. Also 2010 figures should 400 billion was on subsidy thus why are this numbers not consistent ? 7. Why are they comparing us to other countries ? It is an insult on our intelligence by doing so. We collect different minimum wage etc www.nairaland.com/attachments/609333_fuelsubsidylindaikejiblog_pngceb73d15478f80742891a26c8d4b4040 |
sniperwolf:A chance on what ? removall of subsidy ? What is the subsidy paid for and how come ours is the highest ? www.nairaland.com/attachments/609333_fuelsubsidylindaikejiblog_pngceb73d15478f80742891a26c8d4b4040 |
deor03:do you know what people are protesting for ? what you said brilliant for is what people are protesting for but ONLY before the removal of subsidy not after. |
^^^^^^^^ Oh so now you know it is serious ? I though subsidy was to make Nigeria "international recognised" ? Some of you people are pure clowns walihi |

mbatuku2:True, ngbam is igbo word for melon but melon seed is different. I am glad you are honest yorubas did not learn it from them Nigeria did not know egusi before the yorubas and hausawa |
odumchi:I am highly disappointed at you MOD from the same website as Afam4eve afam4eva:Very diappointed that you people would go to a cooking website instead of a history book SMH well this is my own silly website as well alj harem:you can't change the fact that EGUSI IS NOT IGBO, IT WAS INTRODUCED BY THE HAUSA AND YORUBA(ESPECIALLY) WHAT DOES EGUSI MEAN IN IGBO Ofe onugbo is Igbo we know that. because yorubas and hausa don't eat bitter leaf soup unless mixed with normal spinah or a very little added to egusi |

Relax101:Odi was because of militancy Zaki biam you can explain to me |
Relax101:Now you are sounding a bit too silly for this thread OBJ had no POWER TO ANNEX A PART OF THE COUNTRY TO ANOTHER. Bakassi was already a signed deal during 1967-70. the petition against Nigeria after the civil war was taken to the UN around 1980s or so for the claim of Bakassi by cameroun. what has Obj got to do with this Read more about bakassi http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=WDVHeK2cNTkC&pg=PA166&dq=bakassi+nigeria+and+cameroon+treaty&hl=en&ei=dFrATsrFBori8APpyrivBA&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=bakassi%20nigeria%20and%20cameroon%20treaty&f=false |
Lagos – A manufacturer, Mr Edwin Ibude, on Saturday said high cost of production due to the erratic power supply, still posed a challenge to the manufacturing sector in Nigeria. Ibude, the Group Executive Director, of a manufacturing company, said at the ongoing 2011 Lagos International Trade Fair. NAN reports that the company is a local conglomerate with interests in lubricants, plastic packaging and pharmaceutical products, farming, haulage and supermarkets. “There are challenges peculiar to all the manufacturers. Source of energy is an issue and cost of production is high because of cost of energy. “Our roads are in deplorable conditions which have effects on maintenance and life span of our vehicles. “Water is also a challenge to us because, before you set up a plant, you have to think of how to source your water,” he said. The group executive director said that access to fund was also a challenge as the situation made it competitive when doing business outside the country. Ibude, however, stated that the Local Content Act would encourage local manufacturers to be actively involved in the oil industry.(NAN) http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/11/manufacturer-identifies-energy-supply-as-main-challenge-facing-manufacturing-sector/ |
The greatest improvement in the life of your typical Nigerian occurred during OBJ's 8 years. Could and should he have done more? Yes. Did he fail on some major issues? Yes. Nevertheless, he is the best president Nigeria has had so far. And in my opinion, not a failure.
Maybe so but at what cost ? increment in a commodiaty we are bless with ? |
This is not true. And you know it. The lot of your typical Nigerian was far better in 2007 than it was in 1998. Granted, not clear how much credit OBJ should get for it.
1998 was not abacha I am refering to 1996-7 during the peak of his power. Fuel prices were 11-20 naira a liter a loaf of bread was 20 -30 naira and made living very afforable. abacha was a very detribalised Nigerian, and mixed his government up the issue yorubas and Abacha had was because of MKO, thus it was just a natural process not to like him. Whereas IBB did not like abacha because abacha was no longer under him, thus he killed him. |
OBJ was not perfect (far from it), but was not a failure.
really, then abacha too was not a failure as well. because abacha made life more comfortable for Nigerians than OBJ also shagari |
Aigbofa:LOL opata, wetin be that. the name might be a yoruba name, I am not sure, all in all guerrilla war, yes. |
