If you have a father of practical experience, you would have tempered your misinformed utterances with a little practical wisdom. Ojukwu is old enough to be the father you have not seen since your miserable life on earth. I guess it is a futile effort to tell a larcenous nitwit about wisdom. I am very sure you will die young if you fail to respect your elders.

AS AN IBO MAN, I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN DISAPPOINTED BY THE WAY IBOS HANDLE LEADERSHIP. THAT "JUNGLE LIKE-SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST ATTITUDE" IS A PROBLEM WHICH WILL CONTINUE TO HUNT OUR CORPORATE EXISTENCE AND POLITICAL RELEVANCE IN NIGERIA AND BEYOND.

THE PROBLEM OF THE IBOS IS NOT WITH THE CIVIL WAR, HAUSA'S, YORUBA'S, ETC. LET US FOR ONCE DISCUSS ISSUES AND DISALLOW ETHNO-RELIGIOUS SENTIMENTS FROM BECLOUDING OUR SENSE OF REASONING AND OBJECTIVITY. THE IBO NATION COULD ACHIEVE MORE EVEN WITHOUT OIL REVENUE IF WE ARE A BIT MORE ORGANIZED WITH A PURPOSEFUL SENSE OF LEADERSHIP.

THE GOVT OF ANAMBRA STATE SHOULD LOOK INWARDS VIA IGR( INTERNALLY GENERATED REVENUES) AND LIFT NNEWI OUT OF THE DUNGEONS OF UNDERDEVELOPMENT. FURTHERMORE, THE SOUTHEAST "LEADERS OF THOUGHT" SHOULD COME TOGETHER TO DRAFT A 20-YEAR DEVELOPMENTAL PLAN FOR THE IBO NATION. MAYBE, OUR FUTURE LIES IN OUR HANDS AND NOT IN OIL REVENUE, HAUSA'S, YORUBA'S ETC

first and foremest what has supposed backwardness of ebonyi have to do with the unity of igbos?

secondly i have met a hausa guy that stayed near my family in owerri that said that he will never stay in the ama hausa in owerri(if you went to unn then you should know what ama means) because he felt his people are backwards in their thinking.is it now right for me to say say hausas are not united?

by the way when you say united is it based on what really?unity to do what exactly?

as for illiteracy it is a well known fact that the illiteracy level in the core northern nigeria is like a cancer that comparing what you supposedly saw in ebonyi is just child's play to the plague you guys have up in the core north.

PoliticsShehu Of Borno Urges Muslims To Allow Wives, Daughters To Register by aljharem(op): 12:38am On Jan 21, 2011
The Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Garbai El-Kanemi, has appealed to citizens, particularly husbands, to allow their spouses and daughters to register their names in the ongoing voter registration.

The royal father made the call on Thursday while receiving Mrs Margret Ikwunje, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Director of Civil Societies and Gender, who led a team of women civil organisations on an advocacy visit to his palace in Maiduguri.

El-kanemi pointed out that women must be allowed to register their names, adding that apart from the fact that women constituted largerly the Nigeria’s population, the constitution also gave women equal rights with men in terms of selecting their leaders and people of their choice into political offices.

PoliticsOjukwu Expresses Gratitude To Nigerians by aljharem(op): 12:33am On Jan 21, 2011
Ailing Igbo leader, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, has expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their support and solidarity.

Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State, who recently returned from a trip to England on a visit made this known in Awka, the Anambra State capital on Thursday.

Obi, who was fielding questions from newsmen after receiving the Political and Economic Chief at the United States Consulate-General office, Lagos, Mr. Phil Drown, at the Government House Awka, said the ex-Biafran warlord was already out of coma and was responding well to treatment.

According to him, Nigerians should be optimistic on the recovery of Chief Ojukwu, pointing out that he was “doing very well.”

When asked if Ojukwu had regained consciousness and if he was talking now, Governor Obi said “he asked me to great Nigerians for him.”

Solid points.

I also think that the federal government should not control more than 50% of funds. Even 50% sef too much; wetin dem de do with the money sef? Nor be to go waste am for ECOMOG?

Cities are incorporated (as businesses) in the US. Cities go bankrupt. I may not want to go that far for Nigeria because of difference of social systems, but we should really stop cheating hardworking and productive cities/towns.

We need to encourage towns to aspire. If they know that they will receive that federal allocations whether they deserve it or not, they will NEVER work hard.
Funds should be allocated more to areas that generate it.
good one onlytruth, I pray one day you will live your dream of been the igbo leader.

You are very wise my brother
