CrimeRe: Biafra: The Nigerian Civil War In Pictures (Warning Disturbing Images) by aljharem(m): 12:00am On Jan 15, 2011
BOTTOM LINE. Oil > Human life undecided
missy, i think you need to read and know what occur before the war and after the war

your prevous post is very very annoying to me and other viewers, i bet you do not know much about the war apart from wikipedia and other non-crediable sources.

about oil; it is not for igbos or southern nigeria, it is for NIGERIA

so you can not take nigeria's oil to biafra or southern nigeria because oil was discovered when Nigeria was formed not when southern nigeria was on there own

i thought u were jamacian; if you really are, i think it is best to stay out of nigeria history or policies because what you see on Nairaland is not what is acutually gooing on in nigeria

moreover, no one or group in nigeria hates igbos or likes killing igbos

we all co-exist together even my neighbour in borno state (a core islam state) is an igbo christian and he has been living there now for many years without any trouble

ezeuche, onlutruth and co are all in dispora and know nothing about what is going on in nigeria today

this people have been fueled with hate from there bigoted parents who fought in the biafra war which a lot of people die incluing people close to me also

but u do not see me making thrends about how the biafra army killed my relations undecided because it was about 50 yaers agos a distant past that everyone in nigeria has forgotten that it even existed

most igbos now are found in jos kaduna lagos, port harcount and ibadan etc which shows the locals do not hate them

but when u come to nairaland, tribalism is in the air by the ezeuche, onlytruth and co that hate everybody and yet ask them when last they have been to nigeria,

come to lagos, a yoruba state, see how igbo hausa, kanuri and yorubas the locals are relating with respect and love

now compare that to nairaland and see how yorubas, northerners and igbos fight everyday

not all you see on nairaland is real,,,,, once again do not be drawn to this tribal bigot such as wily wily, freewilly, choosen, ezeuche, onlytruth, bashr, fstranger, ileke-idi arsexy, ikangawo, etc because they do not represent the group they claim to be from

even me i time i play the tribal game (i love to see there reactions grin) but does not mean i hate anyone of them

eg

if i see onlytruth and co for really, i will hug them like my brothers not even think they are igbo and yoruba etc we are all brother

so do not fall into this propangada warfare on nairaland,,biko
PoliticsPDP has not failed in 12 years, says Nwodo by aljharem(op): 11:37pm On Jan 14, 2011
NATIONAL Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, Thursday said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has not failed in its 12 years in the saddle.

He said the PDP has fared well as the only party in the history of Nigeria to have sustained democracy.

Nwodo, who suddenly re-emerged at the Special National Convention venue in Abuja at about 5.56pm, made the submissions in his address to the delegates.

The re-emergence of Nwodo led to suspense with most delegates left bewildered.

Nwodo, who made an eloquent presentation, was silent on whether the court order restraining him as the National Chairman of the PDP had been vacated or not.

Looking unperturbed, Nwodo said: "This time around our party members have once more been given the opportunity to stay in their wards and constituencies and freely choose their representatives," We salute all of you who have done us proud and urge you all to partner with us in the days ahead.

This is the new face of PDP. This is the legacy we want to offer to our country.

"Today, we offer you three worthy Nigerians with vast political experiences. You are to choose one of them to be our flag bearer. As you discharge this all important responsibility, I pray you to do so with decorum, dignity and a high sense of patriotism to our party and the nation. We have made elaborate arrangements to make this process manifestly transparent, free and fair.

"While signing the voting Rights Bill on August 6, 1965, American President, Lyndon Baines Johnson noted that the ‘vote is the most power instrument ever devised by man breaking down injustice and destroying the terrible walls which imprison men because they are different from other men.’

"I urge you to use your vote correctly to strengthen our party and democracy in our land.

"As we reposition our party for another round of victory in the April elections, we call on all our supporters nation wide to remain steadfast with us. We have great and better things to offer our great nation. These we will unfold as we hit the road in our campaigns shortly."

PoliticsFg Begins Contruction Of Yenagoa Airport by aljharem(op): 11:32pm On Jan 14, 2011
ENGINEERING team, other technical personnel and machinery are warming up to start work at the Yenagoa Airport, which is billed for completion in a recorded time.

It was learnt that the Federal Government through the Ministry of Aviation has signified the kick- of construction at the airport which is to be located at the centre of the capital of Bayelsa State, a few minutes drive to the Government House.

A source from the ministry disclosed that the project would be jointly funded by the Federal and state governments.

By last week, the Aviation Ministry has assembled consultants and engineers who came largely from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to come up with the design and the cost of the project for approval and consequent resumption of work.

The airport which would not be so far from the existing Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, is billed for medium and small body aircraft when completed.

"The airport will start off as a local airport to handle mid-size jets but it has potential for expansion. Work will soon start on site after the government approves the design being put together by the consultants. They are expected to come up with a fantastic design because Yenagoa is like a little island that is surrounded by water," inside source said.

Many industry observers are not enthusiastic with the project as they argued that with a good road from Yenagoa to Port Harcourt, the airport is not really necessary, noting that from the utilitarian point of view, the project is a waste of funds.

But the people of Yenagoa cannot hold back their high expectation for the completion of the project.

Theres nothing like influence of bini culture of ondo people, though they are neighbours, does not mean the ondo were influenced by bini culture, each has its own culture though similar,Ondo been wearing beads from time memorial and never was bead wearing influenced by bini people.
i think it has to do with the bini and yoruba people having so sort of history together undecided

so you can like dash someone 400 thousand naira and not even bat an eyelid ? like if i was in nigeria and went to a nightclub can i spend 400 thousand naira in one night ? like is it just suya money ?
are you planing to spend 400 thousand naira in a club or are u planing to spend 400 thousand to better your life undecided

400 thousand naira is a lot if u just want to spend it on enjoyment ie club, girls etc undecided

but if it is to start a business (depending on the business) or to better your life is not much in the grand scheme of things

even to start suya business proper is about 70 thousand or if not even more now are days

to start a cyber cafe is more that 400 thousand naira (accomodaition, bills, rent, computers, internet etc) that's in lagos

but depending on how you look at it, 400 thousand might be big or small undecided smiley

see who is talking about tribalism grin grin grin

some people just keep making rubbish speech to make them look intelligent

@op

i think he was refering to his military igbo brothers not nigeria,,, so i do not see how this really concern nigeria as a whole

if he knew all this, why did his co-igbo military men kill only northern and yoruba/edo military men undecided why not igbo miltary men then eg ojukwu himself why only those miltary men undecided

look not to drag this thing long, his speech was not to nigerians but for himself and others like him

most of us on nairaland are only and i repeat only tribal on nairaland which is the fault of some of my igbo brothers on this forum

in the outerside world, i believe we love each other whether igbo yoruba, edo etc

but even in the outer world like america, igbos still dislike us northerners and especally the yorubas

so i think this is something igbos have to think about and retify before it become a big problem like the nazis in germany

well i know before it gets to that stage, they all be died if that rubbish happens in nigeria

also, i love everyone igbo, yoruba, delta ibo, ijebu, hausa, fulani, ika, igala etc i love everyone and i am not tribal in any form

most of us just like to defend our people, there is no tribalism in Nigeria, i mean like at PDP primaries yesterday

does it look that the north hate south or does it look like igbos dislike ijaw etc, NO

on nairaland, it is just over pull undecided  1 love to nigeria cheesy
