Abagworo: @topic.I have written it somewhere on nairaland in the past that Abia is the only State where non-indigenes head almost everything. In Rivers State where I reside,an Ikwerre from Emohua cannot head Obio/Akpo LGA but in Abia,A Rivers,Imo,Anambra man has headed Aba LGA and not a single Ngwa man has ever been there.Abians from other sub-groups head other people too.I liked Abia for that reason.Their NUT,NLC,NURTW,PTD unions are headed by non-indigenes. very wrong lagos is that state and not abia |

Beaf: @Physics
As to how long the Urhobo's and Isoko's have been in Bayelsa; its hundreds of years. Every single ND group from Rivers to Delta, met the Ijaw people and were given land to settle on. The Ijaws are one of Nigeria's few autochthonous ethnic groups (if not the only one), nobody knows how long they have been in the ND (I'm sure we have discussed this before). u are well drunk see rubbish |

Which state in Nigeria are you really from? 1. You posted a picture from Japan as one of your state capital. What true indigene of Delta State would do that? 2. You don't seem to understand the language Kpogede was writing. 3. You don't seem to understand the geography of your purported town, Warri (according to Kpogede.
Alhaji I understand what u are saying, Ghana, both their government and citizens never hide their hatred against Nigerians but I believe in this case Glo is supposed to have rolled out services by now. They have got up to a million Nigerians on the line waiting for them to start operations, and a great percentage of Ghanians are already tired of MTN sh.it in Ghana so they want a change. So many people are really pissed at Glo, including me and so many Nigerians in Ghana,
i also understand that some of the fault maybe because of glo but glo also has a valid point ok read this The Ghanaian government has warned Nigeria's Globacom it will face sanctions if it does not launch commercial services in Ghana by 15 September. The Minister of Communications, Haruna Iddrisu, said the ultimatum follows Glo's inability to operate fully in the country since it received its licence about four years ago. Glo has long argued that it has faced obstacles to its entry into the market, including alleged encroachments on its frequencies and the repeated vandalism of its advertising billboards. this is another case I was talking about |

4 Play: Judging by MTN's larger market share compared to Glo's, Nigerians voting with their money prefer MTN. If they can't comply with their license, it's in Ghana's interest that a more able company takes over. 300,000 dollars for tax for every business opened in Ghana by Nigerians that does not look like investor friendly environment this is just one out of numerous policies against Nigeria business |

Gbawe: What on Earth are you talking about ? I don't think you have been reading what others have written properly. Show , in this thread or anywhere else on Nairaland, where I hold Tinubu to be innocent of any charge of corruption or misconduct. Please oblige the forum and show this because nothing is worse than those who debate from a position of falseness.
No one is saying the corrupt must not be punished or that misconduct must be allowed to carry the day but it seems we are utterly 'bush' (totally lacking in political sophistication) when we allow a government of corruption to pretend it is dealing with corruption. It matters not to some of you that the most corrupt in the land are in team GEJ. This is not how it is done worldwide. In politically sophisticated Countries, citizens would unanimously conclude vociferously that Government , if it is to be taken seriously, deal with corruption within its own rank before it has the moral authority to prosecute those in the opposition .
The situation becomes even more deplorable and condemnable when we have a Government abetting corruption with how it has rejuvenated and empowered , everywhere, those who have been corrupt and inept all their political lives like Anenih. We have a long way to go in Nigeria when we cannot see through the cheap ruse of those who are the masters of corruption. Gbawe. I agree with you on the corruption bit of PDP. But for Now there is nothing we can do about it and it is Tinubu turn for now If tinubu is found innocent, then kudos to Tinubu and his party and it shows they are more reliable than PDP and they Might win more seats next election proved that ACN governors do well. You need to understand Nigerians, We hate individuals defending government officals so it is good as YOU took it as a challenge to find out if tinubu was corrupt or not. and that is the way it is meant to be. |

Beaf: Yes, its DPP, but ACN is extremely desperate to add an oil producing state as another cash cow in addition to Lagos. It is their primitive ethnically bigoted style to attempt to lure the Itsekiri into their trap and reap the state to pieces ethnically, then stroll in to pick up whatever pieces they can gather.
Its better to convince people in a civilised way, than to cause strife in a state where the people have learnt to get along. i think u are sick how is ACN involved in this,. u claim to be living in peace but recently ijaws still killed some itsekiri is that peace |

bamosagie: Honestly, I think GFG is simply giving globacom the push they need. Globacom can compete with MTN with time but they need to build capacity, sitting on license for four years is not the best way to go about it, so Globacom should take the positive in this by fully rolling out and working to correct any flaw afterward. i don't think things are favorable for glo in ghana according to what i have read |

Politics › Re: Tribunal Summons Tinubu Over 10 Foreign Accounts by aljharem3: 6:33pm On Sep 11, 2011 |
Gbawe: This is not about the defense of Tinubu. This is purely about political persecution and that is the point. Have they attempted to deal with Odili who secured an unchallenged injunction , years ago, against arrest, detention and prosecution even when he no longer enjoyed any sort of immunity ? There are many, many, many, many , many open and shut cases like that against PDP looters yet , suspiciously, Tinubu's , the main opposition leader commanding a Party with relative legislative influence, gets his own case 'fast-tracked' .
The SSS quized Tinubu lately when GEJ and the PDP needed to win an election. What came of that? Did we not see similar tactics used to bully the likes of Amaechi till they 'chill'. It is OBJ and Anenihs politics of wickedness 101 we are seeing through GEJ. We have seen revelations of how those pretending to fight corruption are actually the most corrupt (OBJ) !!!!
If this is about fighting corruption and criminality, then let us see a robust effort because me and you know that the most corrupt and callously criminal individuals in the land currently surround GEJ. They are in his cabinet, they are his advisors, they are in his economic team and are his pals and mentors.
It will look very dubious , especially to folks of the SW, if gra-gra focus is on Tinubu alone when he is conveniently also the biggest headache of the PDP and virtually the only thing standing in their way in future while all Nigerians can see the likes of Tony Anenih walking the coridors of power freely. It is hypocritical b.ullshi.te !!!!!!
If you people do not have enough vision to see the effort of those far more evil than others to muzzle opposition in Nigeria , then don't complain belatedly (like the "I voted GEJ and not PDP crew" are doing) when we are back to the PDP dominating our politics even when they have only served up misrule. They know why they want to 'neutralise' Tinubu. Afterall the new PDP chairman has just bragged that the misruling PDP , with currently underperforming President , will rule Nigeria forever. Go figure. Gbawe my brother I understand what u mean but is VERY WELL advicable for us nigerians to first be happy if there is any presecution against any former government offical because there is no smoke without fire for them to have charges against him, then there are some element of truth in it. That you should know after so many years of corruption from military to civilian (PDP) I no long trust any government again and more so Tinubu and you and not blame me and others like me. Lets say tiunbu made his money when he was not yet elected etc there is no way he could have generated that much money to be conducting elections, building houses, buying lands etc but let even say all i mentioned are all lies by PDP against him (ACN) at least you have to accept he is guilt until proven innocent which i doubt i think u should be happy that one of the corrupt government offical is going down unless proven otherwise |
