PointB:
lol. I am not pessimistic either. They are discussing with other interested party, but keeping glo on their radar.

My suggestions have been made earlier, but let me reiterate.

1. They should consider the other firmsThere is no guarantee that glo will deliver. They have not delivered in Ghana after 5 years of incursion.

2. If they finally, sell Nitel to Glo, then they need to correct the imbalance (monopoly) by awarding the Second National Carrier license to another operator.

That's what I said.
Now what is wrong in monopoly undecided if it is for the right reason

you also said globacom is a National carrier

That is very wrong Globacom is NOT a national carrier but a Privately owned company by A man called adenuga

Nitel has suffered a lot of backclash

a lot of money has been poured to Nitel over the years going to billions of dollars even almost as bad as the power sector

You want the FG to sell it to another buyer like WHO ?

Nitel was a Fg owned company and thus a NATIONAL CARRIER and CANNOT be sold to a feoreign company When there is a homemade company at home.

You really need to go back to school and sue ur teacher ur the rubbish u are spewing out here

Business › Ghanaian Government Gives Ultimatum To Globacom by aljharem3(op): 6:03pm On Sep 11, 2011
Government of Ghana through the Ministry of Communications has ordered Globacom, a Nigerian telecommunication firm, to fully roll out its services in the country by September 15, this year, or face sanctions.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Communications, Haruna Iddrisu, in his remarks to open the 20th anniversary seminar of the Private Newspaper Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) in Accra last week, under the theme “The telecom industry in perspective: History, overview and contemporary challenges of the media in Ghana.”

This ultimatum to the telecom operator follows its inability to step up in the market with full operations since it was licensed to operate in Ghana about four years ago.

The minister said Ghana, as a country, has a teledensity of 80% telephony with six major operators and Globacom is one of the major operators with high speed data base “and it is about time we take the company on because they have the Ghanaian markets space waiting for too long.”

Iddrisu also mentioned that his ministry is working to push forward the Data Protection Legislation, which is currently before parliament, to protect the privacy of the communications industry.

How many of you will catch an armed robber that comes to your house and later allow him to go free just because he is not the only one. I dont understand the logic in these reasonings. @Gbawe and other, please answer me simply:

Do you want Nigeria to change?
Do you really really want corruption to stop?
If Yes then why do you support some and fight others?
Why not just seek all to be tried?
When Gani was on Tinubu's case, was he being sponsored by OBJ or GEJ?

If the trying of Tinubu will expose Jonathan, is that not better for all of us? So why not encourage it. Why try to fight it? Why are you angry about it? If Tinubu has glaring evidence to hook GEJ, then he should bring it out for us to see. Not bringing it out is even another offense on its own. I am really ashamed of those who have being preaching they want to wipe out a corrupt PDP and have shown that they are very corrupt themselves. I strongly agree with the Obong to please keep them where they belong, he was very kind to allow them in the Obongs councel, my great grand father and grand father who were the Obongs would turn in their grave to see this happen but it has happened and the Igbos should be grateful for that. @ Beaf

The proposed new Ijaw states cuts across Ilaje land, Mahin land, Itsekiri land and partly Uhrobo land (warri). Do these ethnic groups not have a say in who they join?? What about Port harcourt? That was also included in their "state"
Their states cannot be more "Niger-deltean" than it already is. Are you telling me that none of these groups had costal tendencies embedded in their culturehuh Do you know that Ilaje people are more Ocean oriented than Ijaws who are riverine oriented? In some of their websites, they even say Aworis are Ijaws. Yet, they dare not tell an Awori person that he is Ijaw in his face and not see trouble (I have Awori friends and I stayed in Lagos)!

Beaf, if you are true to yourself and conscience (Assuming you are not an Ijaw man undecided), you'll agree with me that if we follow the Ijaw history, it means their is a chance they (Ijaws) migrated to these places and all of a sudden, called it "Ijaw land". It was this same reason that almost made them and Edos come 'eye to eye'.
In the 21st century, which ethnic group makes statements such as this, " It's a conquered territory"huh

Beaf, I tell you this FAIRLY CONFIDENTLY, if Nigeria does not have Southern Nigeria after it splits, Itsekiris,Ilajes and Uhrobos(at least I sure of Itsekiris) will join Edos and if Edos by mistake join Oduduwa. Be rest assured that Itsekiris, Uhrobos (including Isoko) will follow.

Who wants to be in a SS republic where genocide will be the order of the day?? huh undecided . Claiming and counter-claiming lands is not healthy especially when ND rep has not even being formed.
In one of their sites, they even stated that they occupied the present Benin but were "pushed" down?? WTF?! Yet, their is NOT SIGN of Igodomigodo in their tales.smh.
