Beaf what is your thought on the 1600 buses. Is that not subsidy?

I know it does not concern me but I would advice you not to listen to the lies this beaf is talking about

Beaf:

Will people pay to get on them? The answer lies there, sir.

By the way, I am not against proper subsidies. Subsidies are a brilliant thing if they are used to kickstart productivity in an economy; I will back subsidies on agriculture, Research and Development, education, health, manufacturing, local content etc.

You have to be having a laugh

Was it not Iweala and co that said  they subsidies fertilizers for farmers but it was sold to other countries just like the case the fuel subsidy. On channels doing the fuel subsidy debate

You are a joke, so what you you said it shows you are very biased and bigoted

Fertilizers have been subsidised in the past and now removed just like fuel subsidy now. Has our agricultural sector been improved ?

IS IT NOT OBVIOUS THAT TO STOP THE EXPORTATION OF SUBSIDISED PRODUCTS TO OTHER COUNTRIES IS BY MAKING OUR BOARDERS TIGHTER

The REPS ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM (FG) these are the people collecting 70 % of the total money IGR the country generates. What do we expect
Politics / Re: Reps Make U-turn On Subsidy Removal by aljharem3: 11:00pm On Jan 04, 2012
the reps, senators etc you name it are all part of the FG. so whether they support it or are against it is immaterial here.

these are the people collecting 70 % of our IGR of the whole nation. they should cut down their salaries

talk true:

I dont know why people are comparing fuel price in another country to that of Nigeria. They should also compare the salary structure of our executives

Govt didnt remove fuel subsidy so that we will be at the same rate with other countries, No. They did it so that they will have more money to lootwork with

It beats me as well, It seems like we still have retar,ds in this country as we speak

Even after 51 years, people would still use tribalistic sentiment to talk about subsidy.

Alj harem quote

It appears Beaf is starting to slowly step back from his Oga and this subsidy thing. See him trying to appear sympathetic. I hope Beaf is not planning to run on exile since everything is not going as planned. Hmm!

He is appearing sympathetic so as not to look like a paid agent. Trust me, that tactic would not work.

Everything Beaf says as of today must be quoted for reference. This guy is just WOW. My mouth cannot close o. Well his recent  backing down may show that GEJ is giving up. Am sure this is most evident since Christians (Igbo, Yoruba, Northerner ) and Muslims (Yoruba and Northerner) came together in the Kano protest. Shame to bad people and tribal warlord benefactors. The fact is the damage has been done. Over 5,000 people have read this page. Please share the news that GEJ is a tribalist. He is not a Nigerian president but an ND president as Beaf will have us believe.

actually GEJ is not a tribalist, his goons like beaf and co are the tribalist here.

Now what he is doing and has worked perfectly for him is that he uses this SS/SE mentality to the Igbos on Nairaland and tries to give them a sense of euphoria. Thus you see Chyz, Onlytruth, PointB and other Nairaland Igbo bigots supporting him.

GEJ is our President and No bigot has ever or would ever be a president. That is the law of Nigeria.

You are a good example of a parasite, so look in the mirror. I'll also add that you are a shameless, hate filled, lying bigot.

How am I a parasite, is it because I am not from ur region or what ?

Here is one of ur silly comments

Maybe this are the parasites you were talking about

It will never start. The protests are for lazy phuckers who cannot bear to think.
Under true federalism, there would be no subsidy, so why would Nigerians speak with two sides of the mouth? Why mouth true federalism when many are just lazy clowns?

I am yet to see anybody protesting, because their state govt is phucked and the LG chairman's office serves only as a brothel, while constituents wallow in poverty and unemployment. Do you think your governor and LG chairman were elected for decoration?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why do we mouth true federalism only to display a total lack of will to think?
I find it weird that anybody would go out and risk their lives whereas, their states produce nothing. Should we not be demonstrating instead for our states and LG's to actually begin developing instead of receiving monthly beggarly money from Abuja?

Abuja does not develop states and LG's, lets find out whose job that is.

If anyone is crying for true federalism, then let them put their money where their mouth is and cut out the hypocrisy of free gifts.

Me and mine will watch the protests on TV.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do your state and LG require an SNG to become productive, instead of hefting a monthly begging bowl to Abuja? The hypocrisy further shows in the fact that you are ready to demonstrate for the right to FG freebies,

Without doubt, Nigeria needs to completely overhaul the police force. We cannot go forward when citizens are treated to such physical brutality.
I support the removal of the subsidy, but not any unnecessary violence to get protesters off the streets. It is every persons right to protest, whether right or wrong. Conviction should be by logical persuasion, not by blows or torture.

Politics / Re: Ngozi Okonjo-iweala Didn't Threaten To Resign Over Subsidy by aljharem3: 10:16pm On Jan 04, 2012
Johny Pang:

Fellow Nairalander,

Permit me to say the following already "supposedly" known facts:
1. Madam Iweahala is simply doing the bidding on her international collaborator - IMF/World bank, so don't expect anything different from her.
2. Ngozi is just helping the western / 1st world export inflation from the west to Nigeria. The west /1st world nations are known for leveraging on the chaotic conditions in the 3rd world nations. In other words, they use their instruments like IMF/World bank to unleash hardship on the 3rd world nations by using their agents like Madam Iweahala to implent their policies.
3. Take a look at all the "countries of interest" to the western world such as DRC, Angola, Nigeria, e.t.c; all are battling with one problem or the other.
4. No one can become a leader in any of these "countries of interest" without the strong support of either America, Britain or France. And when you ride on their support to get to power, they will use their agents within your country to make your government unpopular and get rid of you if you are lucky to escape death. This is the reason GEJ dances to their tune like mugu. He does not have the political will-power to challenge them or any of their institution. Any attempt to challenge them will cost him his job and if lucky, he will be alive.
5. As for Nigeria, they have a project to divide the nation and quarantine the South-south region which is their major interest. Their target is on or before 2015. To achieve this, they are using naija northern political elites who have hijacked the original course of Boko Haram to create state of anarchy in the Northern naija.
6. The greatest collaborator of CORRUPTION in naija are the western/1st world. They collabo with their agents in naija to perpetrate these wickedness at our own expense for their gains and that of their cronies. THAT'S WHY IT IS SO DIFFICULT TO EASILY FIGHT CORRUPTION IN NAIJA. The memories of the Halliburton and Siemens scandals still linger.
7. The most painful thing is that THE SO CALLED LABOUR, HUMAN-RIGHT GROUPS, CIVIL SOCIETY AND RELIGIOUS LEADERS, all know these facts but everyone turn blind eyes simply because they all benefit from these Western/1st world in one way or the other.
8. If GEJ needs the purported 1.3tr naira used on fuel subsidy, he should go to naija waters and fight corrupt practices going on there.

In the light of all these, Naija should watch and pray. May the ALMIGHTY GOD deliver naija from all the demons who have held her in bondage.

That is the exact thing we all are protesting for. To be honest GEJ government has been good so far until now. Even I became a pro-GEJ at some point but this is too much. He is planning to reduce the price to 100 naira but is was never about the price of fuel but the accountability and honesty in accounting for the infrastructures etc that is what people are protesting for.

Very wrong. the Nigerian especially the SWerners and Middlebelt were the ones that made Jonathan the president. Not because he is a "minority" or whatever you people call you neighbours but because they all supported the rule of law regardless of ethnicity or race.

Nigerians  want to remain stagnant, pls our economy need to grow like others.  With this new fuel price, is still below $1 per litre and I tell you, among African countries and even the world at large, Nigeria buys fuel at cheapest price.  Though, I can understand the anger, Nigerians are faced with hardship.  My opinion, let fuel price come down to at least N100/litre.  With these, the people's anger can be eased.  I am still in Nigeria at the moment, Nigerians are not finding it easy.  I pity a lot of people here.

I wedded this last December and so many people that came for my wedding are stranded and not to blow my trumpet, I know how many people I have assisted to go back to their various places they returned from, while I hope to go back to Sweden first week of February.

PLC is no more a bachelor.

Stop comparing Nigeria with other countries BECAUSE WE HAVE DIFFERENT EXCHANGE RATES AND YOU CANNOT BE CONVERTING OUR MONEY TO DOLLARS OR POUNDS TO PROVE A POINT.

ALSO THE STANDARD OF LIVING IN THOSE COUNTRIES YOU MENTIONED ARE WAY HIGHER THAN Nigeria so people since we are not Illiterate can you stop the comparison already.

The government has no business in the oil industry to start with. History teaches us that Nigerian oil industry (with government) has been a corruption cesspit which certain parts of Nigeria have exploited maximally.
Government needs to focus only on the environmental and tax aspect of that industry, nothing more.

Again government cannot do that if it has DIRECT business (NNPC et al) in the oil industry. It is called conflict of interest = corruption = inefficiency = poverty of Nigerians

I read somewhere that a law is coming up to strip the governors of immunity. I would like to think that the fed govt is trying to plug the holes to make sure that governors don't continue milking us dry after collecting more money which accrue from subsidy withdrawal.

I hope this makes you feel better.  wink

Stop misleading Jonathan, he had goodwill when he was sworn in in May 2010 and again in May 2011 but like a true sycophant you are here looking after your stomach.
