Politics / Re: Why Are There No Subsidy Protests In The SE/SS Oil Producing States? by aljharem3: 6:42pm On Jan 04, 2012 |
noblezone: I seems like some you people have eyes but cannot read. Or maybe just blinded by bigotry to even reason like human. Imagine some even called us Parasites just because we are not oil producing and we are protesting. 1. It is not about GEJ 2. He should have things on ground before the removal 3. after the removal, what exactly is the job of the FG then ? 4. Why not reduce the cost of governance that is taking 70% of our IGR instead of the removal 5. Why is Iweala talking as if she does not know the inflation that would follow. 6. EVERY SINGLE NIGERIAN SUPPORTS THE REMOVAL OF SUBSIDY but would never support the removal now based on the fact that nothing is on ground for the government to spend the money recovered from the so called "subsidy" . thus they have no case. 7. Why has he not asked the EFCC to probe Madueke of the 20 million euro house she bought in austria ? This has NEVER BEEN BECAUSE OF GEJ or whatever some bigots term to called it. It has always been a protest of accountability and honesty. It has been the protest of the masses on the street trying to figure out how they would be able to afford ONE meal a day based on this increment without substance or accountability. |
Politics / Niger Delta Group Warns Finance Minister, Okonjo-iweala Against Misleading Gej by aljharem3: 6:28pm On Jan 04, 2012 |
Please, my honorable, you and your honorables should not make Nigerian masses to pay for the corrupt leadership in the nation. Please, your recommendation/suggestions to the nation should be that Mr. President through the Attorney-General of the Federation/law enforcement agencies call to order his subordinates (the Federal governments, the States government, the Local governments, etc.) about looting of the national treasury, and those that looted the national treasury in the past should be prosecuted and punished. The financial recklessness and endemic corruption of the stakeholders hinders the nation’s growth, and the poor masses should not pay for it. My honorable, your recommendation/suggestions for the way forward to actualize social and economic developments in the nation – to the National Stakeholders, Western Nations and African Nations should be, to help Nigerians recover the looted national treasure. The so call fuel subsidy should not be removed on the expense of the poor masses; rather the corrupt Nigerian individuals have to pay for the national mess through their nose. As noted, Nigeria refineries are nonfunctional, and this should be your recommendation/suggestions as a top priority to make the infrastructures functional. For example, seven years after the administration of the so call corrupt former President Olusegun Obasanjo licensed some private operators to set up 18 refineries in Nigeria, none of the projects has fully taken off. What a shame!! Please, madam, your recommendation/suggestions to Mr. President is to take his Job seriously. My honorable, impediment that hampers the chances of economic developments in the Nation is lack of quality management and leadership skills among the stakeholders or those in decision making positions. As of date in Nigeria, some of the stakeholders lack commitment, vision or foresight, technical and business knowledge to do their assigned job. Most projects (the hydroelectric dams, the refineries, the coal plants and the railway system, the iron and steel industry, etc.) in Nigeria failed due to poor human resource planning and management. Finally, my honorable, do not make any recommendation/suggestions that will make the masses to suffer more than what they are suffering now. It may cause a national revolution. Thanks for your understanding, good luck and remain blessed. Dr. Chukwuma O. Nwaonicha, Director, Niger Delta International Initiative (NDII). http://ireports-ng.com/2011/12/29/niger-delta-group-warns-finance-minister-okonjo-iweala-against-misleading-jonathan-over-fuel-subsidy-removal/ |

Godman_n: sentiment is growing in the north against anyone trying to mask himself as a Muslim looking to hurt any southerners or Chrisitains. if caught would be burnt alive. FACT !!!! ACF said Boko Haram could not speak for majority of Muslims, let alone for the whole North. Boko Haram can’t speak for North However, in its reaction, ACF, through its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Anthony Sani said: ‘’There have been such threats from both the south and the north of recent. But our attitudes have been that they are are better ignored, precisely because just as those from the south cannot speak for the good people of the south, Boko Haram cannot claim to speak for majority of Muslims, let alone for the North. In any case, there are Muslims in both North and South. “We still urge Boko Haram to use the available due process of addressing grievances in the country to address their concerns rather than harassing innocent people who are not even aware of what the sect stands for. ’’Constructive engagement for the purpose of true reconciliation that go with genuine forgiveness is about the only path to peaceful coexistence needed for socio-economic and political development of Nigeria.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/01/quit-threat-to-christians-acf-afenifere-opc-n-delta-group-nirec-others-react/ |

It is untrue that I have threatened to resign from serving my dear country. No one person is bigger than Nigeria. We will continue to work.http://twitter.com/NOIweala/status/154613994714447873 Iweala has vowed to resign if GEJ revert back to the old pump price. Iweala has no Nigeria interest at heart. She works for the IMF |
Politics / Northern Muslims Sworn To Protect Christians by aljharem3: 4:59pm On Jan 04, 2012 |
Got this from a friend in Kaduna. Muslims in all northern states have sworn with their lives to protect Christians during this hour of protest. Every southerner or Christian going home after the protest should be well assured that we Northern muslims rather die than allow him to be hurt by anyone. |

warrior01: Again see bigotry Now let me tell you, the north contribute 70 % of the food eaten in Nigeria as of today so know your fact. Moreover how does removal of subsidy = Contribution of any zone Are you daft ? or you have not out on ur thinking cap yet. Yes I agree with you but not true fedralism but a complete split. We are tried of living with daft people just because of Oil. Look you cannot hold any zone of the country to ransom just because God has blessed you land with Crude oil. If you think that oil would be there forever, then think again. I can well assure you that when if u are a biafran, you would be better in the expression called "Nigeria" than baifra or any other fantasy you have in ur head. Keep deceiving yourselves because of GREED, SELFISHNESS, TRIBALISM, ETHNOCENTRIC REASONS AND STU.PIDITY. If you have brains at all, you would be critical in your thinking. Good day |
