While multiple European leaders have publicly proclaimed they won’t buy Russian gas in rubles as Russian President Vladimir Putin has demanded, 10 EU countries are technically going along with Putin’s plan, Hungarian official Gergely Gulyas told public radio on Sunday. According to Gulyas, these countries’ leaders aren’t admitting this in order to be seen as “being a good European.”

Gulyas said that Hungary has opened a euro account with Russia’s Gazprombank, which then converts payments into rubles before transferring them to suppliers in Russia. This system allows European buyers to comply with Putin’s demand, made in late March, that “unfriendly” countries switch to Russia’s national currency to buy its natural gas.

“There are nine other countries using the same payment scheme, but because today the idea of being a good European also means that the leaders of those countries are not honest when speaking either in the international arena or to their own people, the other nine countries won’t say that they are doing the same thing,” said Gulyas, who serves as Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s chief of staff.

“There should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that countries importing raw materials from Russia use exactly the same method to pay for Russian gas,” he added.

It is unclear which EU countries Guylas was referring to. Russian energy giant Gazprom has already shut off supplies to Poland and Bulgaria after both refused to pay in rubles, but a Bloomberg report last week stated, as Gulyas did, that 10 of the bloc’s member states have already set up accounts with Gazprombank, and four have actually paid for Russian gas using this mechanism.

Hungary depends on Russia for all of its gas imports, and has therefore opposed EU sanctions on this critical commodity. Gulyas reiterated this commitment to Russian energy and opposition to Brussels’ sanctions regime on Sunday.

“We mustn’t adopt sanctions with which we primarily penalize ourselves instead of those we want to sanction,” he said, referring to soaring energy costs throughout Europe. While the government in Budapest has condemned Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, Guylas said that it would “continue to buy our energy at the cheapest possible price” to offset any costs on the Hungarian people

When I arrived Poland I meet a guy who arrived the same time and he already had a good job here in Poland waiting for him. It's all about Information. I have an Indian friend working with Credit Suisse, close work by 5pm enter UberEATS by 7 and will still work till 1am. By the time he adds both income his hitting almost 10kpln a month.

I have a friend from who just started car importation with this same UberEATS income.

Me dey here dey chop small small money here and there with acting and modeling while adding am with UberEATS. And I got another offer to be Part of a polish movie as an extra for 2days (640pln) all I have to do is seat down and do nothing. Black models and actors get paid more than polish actors we earn 3-4 times what there earn.

What you think is unbelievable is what other are using to succeed so don't be quick to judge people.

I have an application for a visa appointment for a spring semester course. The application is still in the drawing process but I will apply for a winter semester course as well. Do I withdraw my application and apply for a new one or still allow it to continue?

I met a fellow African in Abu-Dhabi who is from Angola, we both did not like the environment, imagine I spent 20k after conversion to carry cab to and fro the shopping mall just to get an item worth 5k. You can't buy anything on the road like gala and lacasera, nothing like seeing corn to by on the road or bole and fish. loneliness everywhere. Nigeria is far far better than most of this white countries, you cannot even trek to next street to get garri and groundnuts

I have been very busy but I saw your comment and decided to respond. guy u no absolutely nothing about life in Poland. Just keep Clam let does making it big here talk. Do you know that english and German is a compousory course you must pass in the polish secondary school exams else you can't go to any university. I don't even speak polish yet I go to a polish church. Almost everyone here in Wroclaw speaks English.

Do you know how many Nigerian guys & ladies are working in top firms in Poland without Polish. I'm not talking about graduates. Full time students. I have received an offer for Citi group and Credit Suisse but didn't go for it because I have thing I dey pursue.

I am student in Poland. I currently model fashionable wears for top designers who work with vogue magazine, poptown, new balance etc and I act movies, I also do UberEATS while wearing a barcava so nobody knows I'm the one. yes all na hustle guy to make the money.

I just got back from a movie shoot with top American actors and actresses and a Nigerian living in Poland is even part of the main cast.

Next week I got casted for a photoshoot in Warsaw worth 8k pln a day but can't go because I have a contract for the movie I'm already casted for. Also I got an opportunity to have the picture of my hands for an advert that will pay me 500pln, just photo of my hands.

Guy I don't know the Poland you went to, maybe one village you went to study but my Poland nigerians are work hard and doing fine UberEATS courier dey make 8kpln a month full time 18k more than even white collar, UberEATS driver make more.

If you need white collar jobs in this Poland there is a way to get it. All you need is not your degree but professional skill with verifiable certificate and you will get one.


If not for school I be all set for life because I have great opportunities coming my way here.
I am thinking for taking a gab year. The hustle is real here, yes it's hard but it's real and you get paid. If you want to make it abroad be open minded, follow people that have sense an try to find your own part.
