Soma and Ike gets mentioned EVERYDAY!

Turn the pages... they are there on each and every page

How are they boring?

People may not like their contents, but they are making the pages and news.

Ilebaye doesn't entertain me in any way. But I could see how she does it for you people. so cool

But while you guys shower her with all the encomium, you must remember she wasn't a solo actor... Neo and Venita helped to give her highlights last night. Otherwise remove those two from the equation, you will just have a crass girl on your hands

I don't like uncouth people... and it doesn't entertain me

I understand you normally carve your own alternate reality in the context of your support for your bb favorites, you stick to the reality irrespective, so, I won’t debate the obvious with you.

It is funny how you have quickly moved away from what you envagelized for to being an apostle of what you canvassed against. Hms with drama should no longer be saved because they are not your favorites.

Wonderful!

Who is the emotional voter here?....You want to vote your previous faves simply because you were their stan during their season and not because they are bringing any content currently on the show but you are calling those that want to vote Ilebaye because of her content, emotional voters.

So I ask again, who is the emotional voter here? This is a new season. If the previous stans are not bringing any content, they should go home abeg.

Who will vote for her? except bandwagoners.. and those are emotional voters... which can swing at the slightest reasons

Nothing will make me leave my boys and vote her... a lot of us already have our faves on lockdown

Just saying🤷

We have our favorites but not to kill this season halfway, Ilebaye must be protected. Do you wish to evict her and keep a housemate that only comes alive when it’s time to steal then vanishes into obscurity afterwards? Or the one with low self esteem who defines his worth by what opposite gender thinks of him?

Ilebaye is the game thus far, Mercy, Neo, Venita and few others are being talked about because of the drama she orchestrated.

The game needs Baye more than most of those arrogant underwhelming housemates

The bandwagon effect is the effect all housemates should pray to evoke in the public.

The ability to even bring out emotions in people is a skill not every housemate can possess!

If Ilebaye can continue with this energy, we may just have a top 5 housemate sitting prettily.

Everybody who won in this show had the bandwagon effect. And whether they are fake, unoriginal, or inorganic fans. It remains the BANDWAGONERS are one big factor in the BBN game.

These guys are no longer hungry for fame, they don’t put effort into entertaining us whether during task or party. The combination of Prince, Praise and Neo was always a delight to behold on the dance floor, has Neo lost his mojo? Alex and Mercy ?

It takes an unbiased mind to accurately read Alex. Very sneaky a lad.

Cecee is not a saint, she overreacts some times but not pretentious. Alex reignited their latent beef maybe as a way of getting back at Ceecee or to create highlights for viewers’ pleasure. Whatever the case between the two, it makes for an engaging view, at least, better than the semo-a-thon we once witnessed.

LordTheus, I’ll not rule out the place of biblical grace as I earlier opined. Grace magnifies efforts.

But I doubt we can have a consensus on some of your comparisons. Laycon is not in the class of other artistes who have graced the show. To my understanding, his primary reason for participating was to promote his music and push it to a larger audience, that wasn’t the case for others.

We can compare Bryan and Micheal, Bryan and K-brule and not Laycon.

Yet the Whitemoney I put all my vitriol on this season is Igbo. Make it make sense.

Madam, you have that inalienable right to support whosoever appeals to your sentiment, same way it not out of place to not have ANYTHING good to say about ALL the contestants from a particular bloc.

I respect your CONSISTENCY in being NEGATIVE about a group, I mean, you deserve a crown as a queen that you are.

When you read from some monikers here, it is a waste of time replying them since their comments are usually predicated on raging sentiments.

Amya will ALWAYS have negative comments about housemates of Yoruba extraction, that’s just her nature, why wasting time on such individual?

I believe Adekunle and Pere are doing something right, they keep getting viewers’ attention which is good for the game. I’m particularly impressed by Adekunle so far, he was too pessimistic the last time but seeing how positive and friendly he has become is refreshing.

Dead on Arrival 😂

I don’t understand your point, why did you insert Adekunle into the conversation? Pere is cool with him the last I checked. You didn’t address the crux of the post you quoted which was to correct the negative impression of Pere that moniker was trying to create.

I don’t think this is fair to Pere, before this general discussion, he was with Adekunle, Seyi and Alex. The four of them had a lengthy discussion on how to fine tune the story developed by Alex. Even, in this general meeting, he made the most intelligent contribution when he was trying to make the house understand the intended meaning of the wager theme. Cut general some slack, he’s doing well.

LordTheus:

You make valid points. However, the fact that these winners you allude to here ultimately achieved their victory via public voting undermines the "mental, physical and emotional efforts" you claim they put here. Technically, it was the "mental, physical, emotional" -- and let me add -- "financial" efforts of their fans that pushed them to the very top, not the lone efforts of the said housemate.

I think too much credit is given to winners who attain their win through public voting. Technically, their efforts had little to nothing to do with it. It was due to the singular fact that they just had more appeal and therefore, a larger fanbase than everyone else. Sometimes people put in a lot of work and try to entertain viewers to make themselves loved (Praise, Prince, Trikytee, Eloswag, Elozonam etc), but their story doesn't play out the way they would hope. I think we overexaggerate the gameplay of players in our version of Big Brother.

Of course, you can have a game plan on how to make yourself appeal to the majority of the viewing audiences. But ultimately, whether you are well received by them or not is completely beyond your control. Most of it is what we Nigerians like to call "grace".

I agree to the extent that success on the show is not solely on the account of the winner’s efforts but on other factors most especially those that bother on viewers’ sentiments that ultimately influence voting pattern. These beyond-reach factors are not lost on me but there’s a nucleus to the body of winning, the winner. All the past winners attracted fans to themselves on the strength of their character, it is this character that shapes sentiment and viewers’ perception.

People connected with Phyna on “street level” ditto Efe, WM was naturally funny with extraordinary native intelligence, Mercy was a drama queen and Laycon was that confident and focused budding artiste. Their strength and the fact that they were on top of their games sustained the loyalty of their fans till victory came knocking.

On the flip side, characters like Ozo, Sheggzz and Liquorose had so much potentials at the outset but lost the plot along the way.

Whichever way you look at it, the winner’s ingenuity, game, poise and positive qualities as reflected in their actions and inactions are the reasons for emotive and financial supports they get from fans.

I wonder how soothing it is to want to downplay the mental, physical and emotional efforts that winners put into achieving victories. The dullest at the workplace usually have the “best” template on how to achieve organizational growth, people that can’t organize the most basic things will be the loudest voice in condemning leaders at state and national levels.

If e easy, why your favorite no win? An individual whose highest highlight of the season was centered around is suddenly a borite. We are all entitled to our opinions but for the sake of objectivity, they should be rooted in facts

I want to see how the winner of this edition will navigate the complexity of this year’s game considering how sophisticated those involved are. Mercy has been enjoying positive review from viewers solely on the account of “yesterday” and being the first female winner. Nothing outstanding so far from her, maybe it is too early to judge.

Kidd forming alliance with weaklings like Tbaj and co is funny, his first nomination may likely be his last.

You’re responsible for how people perceive you and nobody can make you inferior without your permission. Laycon was meant to be an “odd one out” but he stamped his feet, showed his quality, endeared himself to the “better” housemates and outshined them.

Princess has absolutely no reason to feel intimidated considering the fact that big brother’s house is a leveler.

I respect Mercy and WM, it takes strong will to retest popularity most especially in a judgemental and sentimental environment where the belief of “let the good go round” resonates with many and influences majority opinion. An early eviction will be a negative optics for them as established brands. I don’t know if I would have agreed to a second coming if I were to be in their shoes.

It takes courage to want to risk it all.
