obonujoker:
The Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of every company shoulder the responsibility of taking the organisations to their desired heights. PhonesRe: How To Enable Emergency SOS On Iphone by AlphaJazz: 10:51am On Nov 15, 2021
HotnaijaMarket:
Earlier this year, the Government of India (DoT) had passed a law requiring all mobile devices sold in the country from January 1, 2017 onwards, to have a preinstalled “panic button” feature. It’s already November 2016 now, and it looks like Apple might just have conformed to the said law.

An option called Emergency SOS has popped up iOS 10.2 Beta, which allows you to activate Emergency SOS feature on iPhone. Emergency SOS will allow you to automatically dial local emergency services by pressing the Power button five times in quick succession. Thus, in case of an emergency, now you can call for emergency services even without having to take your iPhone out of the pocket.

How Emergency SOS feature on iPhone works
Once Emergency SOS has been activated (by pressing the Power button rapidly 5 times), the iPhone will sound an alarm and start a 3 second countdown. If you have accidentally triggered the SOS, you may cancel it within this time. After the 3 second countdown is over, the iPhone will automatically call the emergency number.

Enable Emergency SOS (Panic Button) feature on iPhone
If for some reason, you want to toggle the Emergency SOS feature on iPhone, here’s how you do it.
Launch Settings app on your iPhone.
Tap on General >> Emergency SOS.
Toggle the Click Sleep/Wake to Auto Call switch.
Turning the switch off will disable Emergency SOS feature on your iPhone; turning on will enable it.
Disable SOS Countdown Sound on iPhone
There are situations when you may need to call emergency services without sounding an alarm. Or you may not like the blaring sound the countdown alarm makes when you trigger SOS. In such cases, you can disable the Countdown Sound without disabling the SOS feature altogether. Your iPhone will still respond to the Emergency SOS trigger, and it will still count to 3 before dialing the emergency services in your area, but it will do so silently. Here’s how you can toggle the countdown sound during SOS. ,( Continue Reading @ http://www.techdavids.com/2016/12/how-to-enable-emergency-sos-on-iphone.html?m=1#.WrsyZsso-2d
PhonesRe: How To Activate Emergency SOS On Your Mobile Device When In Trouble by AlphaJazz: 10:45am On Nov 15, 2021
Kunja2:
Make sure you always configure your Emergency SOS on your Mobile device. With just a click it would send a quick SMS to any number you input there.

I used Tecno Camon 16 cos it's quite easy to set up on it but you can do it as well on any smartphone device.

Here is how you can do it:

1. Go to Settings

2. Click on Emergency SOS or Search for SOS on the search bar if you cant find it.

3. Make sure the Call with Slide Button & Auto Call is Activated.

4. Add Emergency Contacts -

This way, when you press the side button of your phone, it automatically either send a distress SMS or Call to your emergency contact.

It would go a long way to alert people when in danger.
Awesome! Nice thread.

Technology MarketRe: Will Bitcoin Value Hit $100,000 In 2021? by AlphaJazz: 10:43pm On Jul 26, 2021
PatriciaBitcoin:
With the global pandemic, worldwide market uncertainty, travel restrictions, and lockdowns, there’s just one asset that saw a major rise in Bitcoin.
With the post-pandemic era, crypto-assets continued to pop up every now and then as compared to the pre-pandemic value, especially with start-ups and retail investors joining the crypto train.

Looking at the long run, analysts have postulated that the price of Bitcoin could touch $100,000 by 2022.

Bitcoin was introduced to provide an alternative solution to present-day financial defects, and of course, the digital coin’s value was at $0. In 2010, after the Bitcoin Pizza transaction, people attributed Bitcoin as a currency used to buy goods and services.

Bitcoin became more popular in 2013 and reached $1000, which rose significantly to $19, 000 after the second Bitcoin Halving took place.
However, in 2018, its value dropped to about $5000 at the beginning of 2020. Up until now, there have been two events that have affected Bitcoin’s value. One of them is the global pandemic and the second is the third bitcoin halving event of May 2020.

Global pandemic: When this occurred, bitcoin became insurance against economic upheaval which came as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Major investors like Tesla and others put their trust in bitcoin.

Third bitcoin halving: Bitcoin halving is the process of halving the rewards of mining bitcoin after each set of 210, 000 blocks have been mined. This event occurs every four years, and the rewards of bitcoin are cut in half.

The result of the third halving caused the mining price of 12.5 to be reduced to 6.25 BTC in May 2020. This reduced circulation of bitcoin, which set off a high demand.

After the October 2020 rally, the value of Bitcoin crossed $20,000 in December of the same year, $40, 000 in January 2021, and finally hit $50,000 in February 2021. As of the time of writing this article, the value of Bitcoin is $57, 074.

The question is will Bitcoin hit $100,000 by the end of this year? This is only a speculation by analysts, who believe that with the current rate of inflation, it is possible for the digital currency to go over the moon in the nearest future.

Science/TechnologyRe: You There, Satoshi? $21 Million Of Bitcoin Moved From Wallet Inactive For 9 Year by AlphaJazz: 10:26pm On Jul 26, 2021
TheRareGem1:
A bitcoin wallet that contains 791 BTC ($25.7 million at a current market price of $32,500) and that has not been active for almost 10 years just got activated.

This was made known through a popular blockchain tracker, Whale Alert, which tweets about significant movement in wallet activity on different Blockchain networks. The sleeping Bitcoin address in question was activated after 9.1 years of silence. According to Whale Alert, 640 of these bitcoins, worth over $20.8 million, was recently withdrawn from the account.

The wallet is termed in the cryptocurrency community as a “Satoshi-Era” wallet because it was created back in June of 2012, almost 14 months after the creator of the Bitcoin blockchain and creator of the first cryptocurrency, who is unknown to the world but goes by the alias, Satoshi Nakamoto, vanished from the internet. The legendary Bitcoin creator shared his final emails on April 26th, 2011, before he went completely offline.

The recent awakening of the Satoshi-era Bitcoin wallet is not the only one to have occurred this year. Back in March, Whale Alert reported the “resurrection” of another Satoshi-era BTC wallet. 5000 bitcoins were transferred from the wallet, which had previously been inactive for more than 7 years. A similar move to this recent one was noted at the end of February 2021, when 2189 BTC, worth over $105 million at the time, were transferred from the sleeping wallet.

What this means
This indicates that Bitcoin early adopters are cashing in on their investment made into the asset class. As of June 2012, Bitcoin was trading $5.27 which means the owner of the wallet got all 791 Bitcoin for $4,168.57. This represents a 616,418% return on investment in 9.1 years.

No asset class has given this level of return in almost 10 years. A lot of people believe Bitcoin is just getting started as many have predicted the asset class to go as high as $500,000 for 1 BTC by 2025. Although this is all speculation, the Bitcoin network has truly helped to revolutionize the world of financing and banking as we know it.

Although there is not enough sufficient evidence to link these peculiar dormant transactions to Satoshi Nakamoto but if it is him withdrawing dormant Bitcoins from the past, it might just be the most romantic material version of the sleeping beauty.

They give out 3 iphone 13s to supposed winners next time you are convinced to bid again and again because you never know he number of people who bid

The software that powers it is sold for like $100 , the admin can easily manipulate the outcome.

There are technically no winners on the consumer side.

They will definitely succeed in Nigeria as many of the people there have been brought up to believe 100% in 'miracles' in the process many have unrealistic expectations.

How can you think you can bid for iPhone 12 for 1500 naira, if you are not plain stupid ?

They are legit scams.

The only person who wins is the seller. You feel you are getting a good deal by trying to buy a 250,000 naira phone with 1,000 naira ; probably 100 other people are feeling the same way. So 1 million of you buy a bid pack of 25,000 naira containing 250 bids and start placing bids.

Kobobid makes 2.5m ...

You have to pray you can outbid the other 100 people and probably keep buying bidpacks to do this. Eventually you may spend more than the cost of the phone to bid for the phone while kobo bid gets their money. You do not get a refund though... you get tired and cut your losses.

The only reason Bitcoin is pushing up words are because of dumb investors. I buy and sell Bitcoin and I can certainly tell you one thing, Bitcoin solves no problem. If compared to its peers it's the worse of them all.

Don't put your money in bitcoin if you don't understand what is happening, I repeat don't! It is notoriously volatile and can easily drop from 40k to 10k within a month! It's price is unregulated and heavily manipulated, whales could pump and dump it at anytime and make massive profits.
Word! Notoriously volatile.

Despite criticism of it not fulfilling some of the most important functions of currency, Bitcoin, the digital currency, has soared in recent months, spurred by greater acceptance of the blockchain technology that underpins exchange and optimism that faster transaction times will encourage broader use.

Prices have climbed more than four-fold this year to about $5240 from $926 at the beginning of the year, representing a whopping 750% rise.

The price of the digital currency has however had volatility, especially in September when it crashed to below $3000 because of the crackdown in China.

The Chinese regulatory authorities ordered cryptocurrency exchanges to stop trading and blocked new registrations because of the fears of the precipitation of a financial crisis if many Chinese had access to bitcoins.

Russian President, Vladimir Putin had earlier in the month called for the regulation of bitcoins because according to him it could be used to aid money laundering, tax evasion and could provide ready funds for terrorism.

Despite the skepticism of bitcoins, it is gradually gaining acceptance as the Japanese government earlier in the month implemented rules that recognize it as a payment method. Celebrities like Paris Hilton, Floyd Mayweather have promoted it aggressively.

The banks are largely sidelined in bitcoins transactions when goods and services are exchanged and they have raised warnings about a price bubble
