ubunja: no.its not Premature Ejaculation. and neither is it prostate cancer.
most men suffer from a defect,an ailment i will call HFV : Hunger for Female Validation. why are men so prone to seek for and value highly the approval of women? especially when women themselves dont give a cr@p about what men think of them?why the deep instinct to rely on how women pecieve you?why is it every guy's worst fear to go against a female?why is it such an undesirable feeling to earn the disapproval of women?
is it the fact that we were raised by a woman?or the fact that we wish (atleast on an subconscious level) to never piss women off since we think they control sex?why do guys throw each other under the bus to stay on good books with a woman?
but there is a select group of men who dont give a flying fvck about what women think of them .this group comprise a top unique 20% of men.these guys live their lives how they see fit and never apologise for that.they speak their mind and to hell with the consequencies.the only opinion they value is theirs. and they get plenty of women who desire them. to women such independent men are a breath of fresh air.they are like an oasis in the desert.a break from a world populated with weak Yes Men that dont even challange them enough to make them break a sweat.women also love a good chase. its sexy when a man plays hard to get. and when a man that stands up to them appears, its very refreshing.and its interesting to hang with such a guy. and apparently women like them so much they always have sex with them.
u may have heard of those men.some call them alphas. some call them Badboys.u may know them by their more common title The Players.

BLUEJAYY: Men would always admire and desire women, doesn't matter the age.
What I'm saying though is, older men shouldn't act so desperate and clownish just to get the attention of really young women who are probably respectful to them. It makes them no different from the teenage boys starting out on their romance game.
I know 'love' can make a man act silly, but putting yourself down in front of a younger person might make her lose the respect and adoration she has for you and view you in a patronizing way. |

justmi1: After the Fulanis systematically captured and made Ilorin their territory, they sacked the old Oyo Empire in 1835/1836.
They were still not satisfied with their victory; they wished to extend their rule deep into the heart of Yoruba land.
Thus in 1840, they set to capture Osogbo , a Yoruba town. The Fulanis, under the command of Ali , the Hausa balogun of Ilorin, laid siege on Osogbo. When the king of Osogbo realized that the Ilorins were too strong for the Osogbo army, he summoned the Ibadans for help.
Ibadan immediately sent some auxiliaries to Osogbo under the command of Obele alias Mobitan , and Alade Abimpagun.
As this force could not stop the Ilorins, another contingent was sent to Osogbo under a more experienced leader.
But still the Ilorins won every battle and gained more ground.
When Ibadan realized that the Ilorins were becoming more threatening to Yoruba land, they sent a large and stronger force under Balogun Oderinlo to crush the intruding forces and Jammas of Ilorin.
When Oderinlo and his men arrived at the battlefield, they realized that things had gone worse than they thought.
They could not show their faces in the open field for the fear of the Ilorin horses, and for about 20 days after their arrival at Osogbo, they could not fight outside the town thickets.
Oderinlo suggested that Elepo, a brave Ibadan warrior was badly needed at the war-front. Elepo had been rejected by the war-chiefs of Ibadan for his actions at the late Agbamaja expedition.
As soon as the message from Oderinlo reached Ibadan, the Bashorun wished he could send Elepo to Osogbo but could not go against the wish of other war-chiefs.
The Bashorun gave Elepo a cow to worship his god, Ori , and pray for the victory of Ibadan at the war-front
At the war-front, the Ibadan could not attack the Ilorins during the day because Osogbo was practically in a plain and the Ilorin horses might have advantage of them with disastrous results.
They decided to attack at dusk when the Ilorins would no longer be able to use their horses. About 2:pm, the well prepared Ibadan army left the gate of Osogbo for the battlefield.
They were to keep a strict watch and arrest anyone suspected to be a spy.
About a mile from the Ilorin camp, they halted and arranged the order of the attack.
The Osogbo army and the earlier auxiliaries were to handle the center of the battlefield, chiefs Abitiko and Labuju were to command the right wing, Balogun Oderinlo with the rest of the Ibadan war-chiefs were to form the left wing of the army.
The Ilorin camp was then attacked at midnight. The watchword was “ Elo ni owo odo? ” (How much is the ferry fare?).
The reason this watchword was chosen was because the river Osun had to be crossed in entering Osogbo from the south, and anyone who could not tell this was likely to be an enemy.
Stampede engulfed the Ilorin camp as the Ibadan army set it on fire.
The Ilorins could not offer the slightest resistance; they were smoked with the gunpowder of the Ibadan guns.
This attack was a success for the Ibadan. Some Ilorin war-chiefs were captured in the attack. Prominent ones were: 1. Jimba the head slave of the Emir; 2. One of the sons of Ali the commander in chief; 3. Chief Lateju; 4. Ajikobo the Yoruba Balogun of Ilorin.
The first two were released while the latter two, being Yoruba by birth, were regarded as traitors and were executed.
This was a huge victory for the whole of Yoruba land. . After the Osogbo victory, Ibokun, an Ijesa town not far from Osogbo was taken by the Ibadans for being an ally of Ilorin.
After this war, Ìbàdàn later became a force building a formidable war machinery than later prosecuted many other wars with resounding victory.
Notable among the wars was the KIRIJI WAR where the Ibadan warlords formed a historic alliance with the Igbajos.
Even though Igbajo became the war front for many years that the war lasted, it was never captured by the raging Ekiti parapò warriors.
Rather it was a place where many of them met their Waterloo.
Notable among the warriors were Fabunmi Okeemesi, Ogedengbe Agbogun gboro of the Ijesas,
Apasikoto pasigegele of Igbajo and Latoosa of Ibadan to mention a few.
There were many more great warriors of the time.
It’s worthy to note that the KIRIJI WAR was the last war in Yoruba land.
It’s also recorded as the longest native war between in Africa.
Since then the Yoruba people have continued to build strong bonds among themselves and they have sustained the peace.
We must continue to tell our children the history of the Yoruba people and the bond which our father had built so that we can continue to see ourselves as one.
If the Ibadan people can sacrifice their lives for the people of Osogbo in other to safe other towns and villages in Yoruba land and in essence the carnage of innocent people were prevented, then, we the modern Yorubas have no reason to divide ourselves for political reasons or any reason at all.

christistruth01: The Emir of Daura is Hausa
The British favoured his family because his ancestor.was an ally of the British against the Fulani Warlord in Daura Area who fought the British and gave them so much trouble
The Hausa dynasty in Daura a very important and Historical ancient Hausa town were still fighting the Fulani Warlord there when the British arrived.
The Fulani Warlord gave the British so much trouble that they had to team up with the Hausa to defeat him that was how the Hausa dynasty got the throne back in Daura
The story may not be perfect but that is the Summary of the Struggle that happened before the British could take over Daura.
The Emir of Ilorin is also Hausa that is why he is called Gambari which means Hausa in Yoruba. |

christistruth01: Kwara South was part of the Yoruba Army that defeated the Jihadists in the Jalumi War.
The Yorubas lead by the Ibadan Army defeated the Fulani Jihad not once but twice with.the second defeat being so devastating that the surviving Jihadistss fled all the way to Kebbi without stopping
The Ibadan Army defeated the Fulani in the Osogbo War of 1840 and the second was the Jalumi War of 1878.
It was Kwara South that made the Jalumi (plunge into Water) so a devastating defeat for the Fulani because as soon as the People of Kwara had fled before the Ibadan led Army they Completely destroyed the River Bridge the Jihadists could have used to escape so they and their horses plunged headlong into the River that was at full torrential flow and it Swept away a large part of their Men and Horses.
that was how the Jalumi War got its name
Ilorin has Fulani Presence only because the British reimposed the defeated Emir on Ilorin around 1897
Before that Balogun Yoruba (Inakoju Alanamu) was the actual ruler of Ilorin.
The Emir had been deposed by the Ilorin Yoruba Chiefs before the British arrived.
The rest is Colonial and Tribal Politics Awesome post! I read years back too that Balogun Alamu was the most powerful man in Ilorin but the British caused the rulership problem in Ilorin from 1897 by deporting the Yoruba leaders in Ilorin led by Balogun Alanamu. |

LeoThaGreat: This herdsmen issue we are currently facing in Yorubaland is the major reason for the battles currently going on in that part of Mali. I know a lady (Fulani-Yoruba) who had to flee from Mopti, her hometown to Lagos. Fulani (herdsmen) are really hated in Guinea (their land of origin), Burkina Faso, Ghana [operation cow leg], Mali, Togo, Benin Republic, Cameroon, Central African republic, Nigeria, etc, I dunno about Chad tho. This calls for introspection by the Fulanis, but no, they're not interested in that. They prefer to be exterminated gradually by Sub-Saharan countries. How can Africa move forward when the enemy within is much? DNA tests in many online videos show that the paternal lineage of Fulanis is North African via the Berbers of Morocco. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Nigeria Airforce Growing In Strength by AlphaSoul: 2:10am On Feb 01, 2021 |
sslcrypt: In late 2020 the Nigerian Air Force revealed that it would be receiving 19 new aircraft in 2021. These include twelve Brazilian A-29 Super Tucano turboprop counterterrorism aircraft, three Pakistan JF17 jet fighters, one M-171 helicopter, and three maritime surveillance aircraft for NIMASA (Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency).
The Nigerian Air Force does not have many combat aircraft. Currently, it has eight recently acquired Chinese J-7 jet fighters. These are Chinese built MiG-21s. Although a 1950s design, the J-7 is much updated and adequate to deal with neighboring air forces. There are also about a dozen French/German Alpha Jets. These 7.5-ton twin-jet planes entered service in the 1970s as a trainer/ground attack aircraft. They are armed with a 23mm autocannon and carry about two tons of bombs, rockets, and missiles. Nigeria bought 24 in the 1980s and used them heavily for two decades until most were inoperable. In the last five years, 14 of their Alphas have been refurbished and most of that work is done. The problem is that the elderly Alphas have been hard at work as the only counterterrorism aircraft available. The J-7 and Alphas are the only combat aircraft Nigeria has, aside from about a dozen armed helicopters. The Super Tucanos are eagerly awaited in part because they are a more effective counterterrorism aircraft than the Alpha jets,
The A-29s are the most important new acquisition because these have already proved themselves as effective counterterrorism aircraft. Several other African nations have received or are awaiting Super Tucanos. These include Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Senegal, and Ghana. Nigeria needs the Super Tucano to cope with Boko Haram Islamic terrorists in its northeast.
The Super Tucano is a single-engine turboprop trainer/attack aircraft that is used by eighteen nations. The armed version carries two internal 12.7mm (.50 caliber) machine-guns and can carry up to 1.5 tons of bombs and rockets. It can stay in the air for up to 6.5 hours. It is rugged, easy to maintain and cheap. You pay $15-20 million for each Super Tucano, depending on how much training, spare parts, and support equipment you get with them.
Super Tucano can be equipped to carry over a half dozen 120 kg (250 pounds) SDB GPS smart bombs (or half a dozen dumb 500-pound bombs), giving it considerable potential firepower if rigged to handle smart bombs. The Super Tucano comes equipped with a GPS navigation system. Max altitude is 11,300 meters (35,000 feet) and cruising speed is 400 kilometers an hour. Naturally, this aircraft can move in lower and slower than any jet can. Super Tucano is also equipped with armor for the pilot, a pressurized cockpit, and an ejection seat. Not bad for an aircraft with a max takeoff weight of 5.4 tons.
These "trainer/light attack aircraft" can also operate from crude airports or even a stretch of highway. Aircraft like this can carry systems to defeat portable surface to air missiles. One of the options is a FLIR (infrared radar that produces a photo-realistic video image in any weather) and a fire control system for the bombing. Several nations are using the Super Tucanos for counter-insurgency work. The aircraft is also used for border patrol by the United States.
The Super Tucano can double as trainers. It's easier to train pilots to use the Super Tucano, cheaper to buy them, and much cheaper to operate them. It costs less than a tenth as much per flying hour to operate a Super Tucano compared to an F-16. This is why the U.S. Air Force uses Super Tucano (as the A-29) as a trainer for training pilots of allies that have or are receiving the Super Tucano.
Most African nations have Cold War-era warplanes, usually jets that have been inoperable for years. Many of these were acquired in the 1960s and 70s and were not adequately maintained. African military leaders have long wanted some basic, easy, and cheap to operate aircraft for training and reconnaissance. That is what the Super Tucano does, plus carry out ground attack if so equipped.
Then there is the JF17, which is an odd bird, literally. It is basically a low-cost equivalent of the American F-16. Nigeria is one of only two (so far) export customers for the JF17. Nigeria was apparently offered attractive terms for the three ordered in 2016 and arriving in 2021. If these prove useful enough Nigeria may buy as many as twenty.
Nigeria is receiving the Block 2 version of the JF17. In 2006 the first Block 1 JF17s were built in China and entered service in 2007. The Block 1s was, by Chinese standards, simple aircraft and sold for about $15 million to build. Fifty Block 2 aircraft, with inflight refueling, improved electronics, and digital data link, began production in 2013 and twelve more were ordered and completed by 2017. The Block 2s cost about $25 million each.
The JF17 was an unsuccessful Chinese project that was in development for over two decades. The Chinese air force did not want it but the Pakistanis did if they could assemble them in Pakistan and call them “made in Pakistan.” To make this work Pakistan had to agree to buy over a hundred JF-17s and Pakistan initially said it wanted 150 of them. All this came about because Pakistan could not get modern fighters from anyone else, and turned to China. At the time, China had nothing comparable to the early model F-16s Pakistan already had. Currently, Pakistan owns about a hundred JF17s and plans to obtain as many as 300.
China tried to find export customers for the JF17 as an inexpensive alternative to American and Russian fighters. So far, only Burma and Nigeria have ordered any. Burma bought 16. Both of these export sales were more diplomacy than just selling jet fighters. Chinese air force commanders consider the JF-17 inferior to other fighters they are building. The Chinese developer and manufacturer consider the JF17 a financial success but mainly as an export item and mainly to Pakistan, which may ultimately buy more than 300. That plus export sales add up to a significant amount of business.
The low-end JF-17 is little more than a day time interceptor. The most capable F-16 model in service is the F-16I, used exclusively by Israel. It's basically a modified version of the F-16C/D Block 50/52 optimized to deliver smart bombs anywhere, at any time, in any weather, and despite dense air defenses. The F-16I costs about $70 million each. At the moment the proposed Block 3 will come close to the F-16I capabilities and the JF-17B Block 3 will cost less than half what the F-16I does while having some of the capabilities. What China is really touting here is the availability of a jet fighter that is cheap and performs somewhat like an F-16. For many countries, this is an attractive option. The only problem is that there are hundreds of second-hand (and very well maintained) F-16s on the market, selling for less than the bare-bones JF-17.
The 13-ton JF-17 can carry 3.6 tons of weapons and uses radar-guided and heat-seeking missiles. It has a max speed of nearly 2,000 kilometers an hour, an operating range of 1,300 kilometers, and a max altitude of nearly 18,000 meters (55,000 feet). China says it does not want to use the JF-17 itself because its own J-10 (another local design) and J-11 (a license-built Russian Su-27) are adequate for their needs. The J-10, like the JF-17, did not work out as well as was hoped, but that's another matter. Meanwhile, Pakistan has several squadrons in service and more being formed. The JF-17, along with the American F-16s Pakistan has long used, were both used against Islamic terrorists in the tribal territories where both aircraft performed well using guided and unguided bombs.
The Nigerian Air Force is handling the purchase of the three NIMASA aircraft because two of these are twin-engine business jets equipped for maritime surveillance. These are needed by the navy and coast guard which are busy dealing with the growing piracy problem off the Nigerian coast. The air force already has airbases and training infrastructure to prepare pilots and maintainers for the maritime patrol aircraft. The third NIMASA aircraft is another helicopter for the coast guard. That's awesome! |

Hermzou: Anti-slavery crusader Harriet Tubman will become the first African-American on the face of U.S. paper currency, and the first woman in more than a century, when she replaces former President Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill. The U.S. Treasury Department said on Wednesday that Tubman, who was born into slavery in the early 1820s and went on to help hundreds of slaves escape, would take the center spot on the bill, while Jackson, a slave owner, would move to the back. Introduced alongside a slew of changes to the $5 and $10 notes as well, the redesign gives the Treasury “a chance to open the aperture to reflect more of America’s history,” Treasury Secretary Jack Lew said. A new $10 bill will add images of five female leaders of the women’s suffrage movement, including Sojourner Truth and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, to the back, while keeping founding father Alexander Hamilton on the front. The reverse of a new $5 note will show former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., officials said. Former President Abraham Lincoln will remain on the front. Lew said the designs should be unveiled by 2020 and go into circulation “as quickly as possible,” although he declined to say when. He said the $10 bill was scheduled to go out first, citing security needs. The long-awaited decision to replace the seventh president of the United States with Tubman followed months of outreach by the Treasury regarding which woman should be featured on a bill. The debate began when the Treasury announced plans in June to feature a woman on the $10 note, prompted partly by a young girl’s letter to President Barack Obama that criticized the lack of women on U.S. currency and a social media campaign last year called “Women on 20s.” A MUSICAL Hamilton’s growing celebrity status, due largely to a Pulitzer Prize-winning Broadway musical about his life, “Hamilton,” created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, propelled an effort to keep the first U.S. Treasury secretary on the $10 note and to replace Jackson on the $20 bill instead. Jackson, a hero of the War of 1812’s Battle of New Orleans, was president from 1829-1837. But he has been criticized for his treatment of American Indians and ownership of slaves. After considering hundreds of candidates, Lew said Tubman was chosen for her leadership and work helping others. “It’s the essential story of American democracy about how one person who grew up in slavery, never had the benefit of learning how to read or write, could change the course of history,” he said. Tubman grew up working on a Maryland plantation and escaped in her late 20s. She returned to the South to help hundreds of black slaves to freedom and worked as a Union spy during the Civil War. She died in 1913. It's about that time! Life has done a full cycle.
