You get the same network reception as everyone else.
Pro: You get an extra layer of security, because if your phone went missing (God forbid), a thief can't easily pop the SIM out of your phone, so you can track it.
Con:
You can't pop out the SIM, your phone went low on battery and you urgently need to make a call on another phone. That's cool. |

This one will help sap lucrativeness out of kidnapping because the only means of them receiving their high demands will be through a transfer which can be traced later.

You are the one that is getting things mixed up. Tinubu NEVER said all that trash that you these guys are saying all over the place. I watched the video of his visit to the East of Nigeria, and he CLEARLY said in Yoruba: "BALA BALA, BALA BOLO", which MEANS "GIBBERISH" in Yoruba language, NOT the NONSENSE you people have been typing online that he said. I am embarassed at the complete LACK of truth and honesty among many of you. Somebody pointed out the full video here on NL of Tinubu's visit to the East of Nigeria and that is when I understood what Bola Tinubu said. The administrative capital of Nigeria from 1914 to 1991 has NEVER been Lagos State. Lagos Island was the administrative capital NOT Lagos State! Lagos Island belongs to indigenes, just like Calabar [which was also the administrative capital of the British] has indigenes.Lagos State only came into existence on May 27, 1967. The absence of DETAILED history classes is majorly responsible for you the younger generation mixing up Lagos Island [or Lagos for short] with Lagos State which are 2 completely different land masses or geo-political entities. Lagos Island is a city within Lagos State with Yoruba folks as the indigenes. The REAL indigenes of Lagos State are the Ijebu-Yorubas, Awori-Yorubas, Ogus, with Egba-Yoruba immigrant populations that came centuries back and have become indigenes. Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN rapidly industrialised the Old Western region in the 1950s with the establishment of Ikeja GRA and several industrial estates such as Ikeja, Ilupeju, Iganmu [Ikeja, Ilupeju and MORE than 90% of today's Lagos State land mass was carved out from Awolowo's Western region, in the May 27, 1967, 12 new states creation by Gen. Yakubu Gowon into the new Lagos State].
Oluyole industrial estate in Ibadan was also among Premier Obafemi Awolowo's legacies, which the Old Eastern and Northern regions copied in the 1950s to the 1960s in a healthy competition to form the Trans-Amadi and Kakuri industrial estates in Port Harcourt and Kaduna. It is TIME for the Lagos State government to make it mandatory OR THROUGH persuation for all the media houses to have 5-10 minute slots to broadcast the TRUE history of how Lagos State came into existence on May 27, 1967, because a lot of ignorant people are confusing Lagos Island with Lagos State, and FALSELY claiming that the whole of Lagos State was the Federal Capital which is NOT! History must be taught in schools as well. It's getting annoying that we have to keep explaining these things to the younger generation and some older folks who DON'T READ history books! Asiwaju and his boys have made Lagos the 5th largest economy in Africa.
FG also built roads and bridges in Adamawa,Abuja, Anambra, Oyo, Enugu,Rivers State, Borno, Kaduna and the rest of the states in Nigeria.
If not for Asiwaju and his boys, Abuja go don dust lagos, and Lagos would have been a dead city like Warri.
Warri suppose to dey contest with Ikeja, Yaba and Lekki if toh say leaders with vision like Tinubu ruled the state, Tinubu would have made the City of Warri better than Accra, Ghana and people like Atiku would have tell us is the FG that develop it.
I wander why Atiku didn't tell us why Warri can't compete with the likes of Kano, Ibadan, Kaduna and PH again, the PDP government in Delta State have ruin the city of Warri
No one is condemning the PDP Governors who have ruled Delta State for turning Warri to a dead city, but una go dey cry about Asiwaju who have elevated Lagos State to the 5th largest economy position in Africa.

So these modern switching of roles comes with a price definitely. @lessonotes, So, you seem very traditional here. Are you saying us men should provide all the finance for family overheads? What are the proper financial roles in the modern world we live in? I have a different historical perspective here... For the records, in most African societies back in the day, women were NEVER redundant. Women contributed to the upkeep of the homes as well by bringing something in besides cooking, and giving birth. Roles between men and women were properly defined.Have you also heard of the hunter-gatherer societies from further back in human history? I heard of how good they had it back then. Up till now, alot of sub-Saharan African countries and the black race in general all over the are still looking up to Nigeria to wake up from it's deep sleep. Yup! The Presidential System is very expensive for a country like Nigeria that is classified as a significant under-achiever economically. The Parliamentary System would be a better option to save cost, and then allow e-Government and "e-Everything" to permeate the Nigerian society with high-speed broadband, while applying the rule of law.

A section of the media and some folks on the street level are responsible for a lot of these misinformation here. The terms 1st world, 2nd world, and 3rd world in the original context were NOT used as economic descriptions for nations. So, the term "3rd world country," has nothing to do with poverty, but it simply describes the countries that after World War 2 did NOT align with either the Western U.S. aligned coalition (1st world) OR the Soviet bloc (2nd world). All the best. |

Life of a black man. I believe that if Nigeria (the most populous black country in the world) rises up to the level of maybe South Korea or Malaysia, black people all over the world would at least earn some respect in this world that we have found ourselves in. Nicely put @Saxywale2, your line of thought strongly resonates with mine! Back in the early 2000s, I grabbed and read a copy of the classic book, "From Third World to First" by the father of modern-day Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew. The massive book of over 700 pages literally made me realize how to build a country if you have a visionary leader, and highly motivated citizens. Slightly over 80% of Singaporeans are of Chinese descent with the rest being ethnic Malays and Indians. This ethnic configuration made it a bit easy for them to navigate. There were ethnic riots too in Singapore and Malaysia back in the 1960s. But then Lee Kuan Yew set up industrial estates, boosted education, upgraded military service for Singapore citizens, and made his city-state into a major financial hub.
I noticed that these were some of the things that Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN, did as the Prime Minister of the Old Western Region in the 1950s, setting up many investment vehicles, industrial estates in what is now Lagos State, Ibadan, etc, and at independence, the Western Region was rich enough to even donate the first building used by Nigeria as a high commission in London. A decentralized Nigeria would make it easier to reach the goal of rubbing shoulders economically and militarily with the Asian Tiger nations, and much more.
Then the world would respect a decentralised Nigeria (and the rest of the people of African descent worldwide) that can independently send her own space satellites and astronauts into outer space, and more!Ray Dalio also talks about the "changing world order" with a strong warning for the U.S., and any country that wants to succeed today had better follow his warnings.
Unfortunately, the centralized Nigeria as of today exhibits all the negative indices the American billionaire Ray Dalio talked about in his book that have led to the fall of empires... and the U.S. manifests some of these negative indices, and we have to act fast to save the 2 countries that mean a lot to us all OR... Boom! Economic downturns, social unrests, then Civil War. "The changing world order." All the best. |

Travel › Re: FixMyVisa.com - Visa And Passport Auction by AlphaTaikun: 1:37pm On Dec 05, 2022 |
swede: Hi, actually this service will work for those in your country Nigeria. It will. Keep reading.
We did do a lot of research on African, Asian and South/central American countries and their issues. Nigeria is not such a big deal really when it comes to problems. We have been in business and have plenty of experiences in these matters. Nigeria only has the problem of people not customizing solutions to solve the Nigerian problem. Happily, we could customize our solution to Nigeria and many other countries in the world www.fixmyvisa.com. That is something.
We know very well that people would be people, in any case, no matter where they come from. However, these problems are the reasons we are in business. It is in our interest to ensure a fraud free markeplace at www.fixmyvisa.com. We shall keep ahead of the problems as you will see in the nearest future.
The only problem with your country was online payment when it comes to depositing money (to pay your agent anywhere) in dollars. We solved that problem by introducing CASHU (cashu.com) payment services (like Paypal) which has agents/offices in Abuja and Lagos (I hope I am correct since I don't have the details at this moment) as one of our payment modules. In this case you can even pay an agent in Nigeria in Dollar but with confidence that you won't lose your money since it is in Escrow. If it goes well the agent gets paid. If not you get your money back.
I can now imagine a visa seeker meeting an agent personally (perhaps from his newspaper ad in Nigeria), but the seeker will then request the agent to register with www.fixmyvisa.com. Then the visa seeker will post a Request at www.fixmyvisa.com ONLY for that agent (this means no other service provider can make you an offer except for that agent). You can do this by using a function limiting your Request to INVITED agents only. The agent will then place a bid (in the sum already agreed on) and the seeker will accept that agent's offer as already agreed, but now it is formal. The seeker will then place money in Escrow at www.fixmyvisa.com for that agent. Then work can start. I hope you see the trend and advantage.
If visa seekers follows our instruction, there will be fantastic results.
We chose this revolutionary aspect of service auction and we intend to make it work, just like our past projects that involves non-european or north American countries.
***We shall keep doing our best to respond to comments and questions in this forum. |

swede: Breaking News!- World's First Visa And Passport Auction About To Start | 2007-06-27
Dear All,
As you read this, you are part of history being made on the net.
This is an invitation to the pre-launching of fixmyvisa.com (http://www.fixmyvisa.com), which is the world’s first online auction place for travel visas and passports. Be among the first to post a Request at fixmyvisa.com.
This is a sort of Ebay for migrations services but we use the reverse auction system with the goal of finding the best visa agent at the lowest possible price for visa seekers.
It works like this in brief: A person that has difficulties getting his/her visa applications granted at embassies and needs the help of an agent with processing/expediting his visa with guaranteed success can anonymously post a Request for help asking agents to make him/her an offer. Then, competent travel agents and visa expeditors, worldwide, eager to help this person will respond to the Request posted, along with their price/offers just like an auction, of course along with details of his methods of operations and time lines. This way the visa seeker can compare the prices and quality of the agents and choose which one he wishes to work with.
In order to protect our users, we have a secure Escrow service. When the visa seeker finally chooses a visa expeditor or agent, he does not need to pay the visa expeditor until the work is done as agreed. The money is held in an Escrow account by fixmyvisa.com until the visa seeker gives the go ahead to release the money to the visa expeditor. Of course, this is by choice.
It should be made clear that it is very legal to employ the help of visa expeditors/agents in your dealings with embassies. This has been a well kept secret since this is very often used in the USA and Europe for dealing with difficult embassies like the Russian embassy. What we hope to do is bring the services of the best expeditors to visa seekers in the remotest countries in the world. Fixmyvisa.com will give a visa seeker’s Request high exposure giving him unimagined access to expeditors worldwide.
At www.fixmyvisa.com, you are not limited to visas, you may also request for invitation letters, help with legalizing your residence permit in any country, renewal of passports, legal representation etc. It will not be unusual to come in contact with an expeditor in your country at fixmyvisa.com before you meet face to face.
Currently, it is free for a visa seeker to post his/her Requests, hurry up and be among the first to post yours at fixmyvisa.com.
www.fixmyvisa.com is the first of its kind on the net. We are aware of all the issue involved and have put things in place to ensure success.
Finally, the concept at www.fixmyvisa.com was born out of careful research. The company which owns fixmyvisa.com is Proffpoint Network AB, located in Gothenburg, Sweden and is subject to Swedish and EU laws.
If you wish to take advantage of this pre-launch invitation then visit our site http://www.fixmyvisa.com and see for yourself. We have comprehensive information on our site. You may also contact us if you have any question.
BTW, if you accept this offer, you will get US$2.00 as credit in your account at www.fixmyvisa.com to use as you wish.
Regards Bump. |
