POLICE ARREST DOCTOR FOR KILLING HIS MOTHER

source:http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/03/police-arrest-doctor-for-killing-his.html
The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested one Dr. Emmanuel Ogah, who allegedly stabbed his biological mother to death.
In a statement issued in Abeokuta Saturday by its Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the command said the arrest was sequel to a complaint by the elder brother of the suspect, Cletus Ogah.
It said the elder brother reported at Itele Ota Divisional headquarters that his younger brother had stabbed his 62 year-old mother, one Janet Ogah, to death.
The command said that following the complaint, the DPO of the division, CSP Lukman Raheem, led detectives to the scene at No 16, Ololade street, Lafenwa, Itele Ota , where the suspect was arrested.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, who has just finished his NYSC programme, came back home three days earlier and had been having issues with the deceased since then.
“In his statement, the suspect claimed that his mother was in the habit of insulting and disgracing him in the presence of her apprentices, and that frustrated him into taking her life,” it said.
According to the command, the corpse of the deceased, a food vendor, has been deposited at the Ota General Hospital morgue, for autopsy.

It said that the State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, had ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, for further investigation.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger faced more calls for the end of his reign on Saturday, as fans pledged their support for ‘Wexit’.
Wenger has come under intense pressure following recent results, with the consecutive 5-1 Champions League hammerings at the hands of Bayern Munich only serving to ramp up the scrutiny surrounding his future.
The Frenchman’s contract expires at the end of the season and, ahead of their FA Cup quarter-final with non-league Lincoln City, a section of Arsenal fans repeated calls for Wenger’s 20-year tenure to end.
In a protest before the game fans held up banners calling for Wenger’s departure or ‘Wexit’ as one sign read.
Another declared that ‘every good story has an ending’, but it remains to be seen when that conclusion will come for Wenger and Arsenal.

REVIVE THE POWER SECTOR OR RESIGN - CAMPAIGN FOR DEMOCRACY(CD)
source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/03/revive-power-sector-or-resign-campaign.html

A group, the Campaign for Democracy, CD, has handed a 30-day ultimatum to the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, SAN, for him to revive the nation’s ailing power sector or resign his appointment as a minister of the federal republic.
In a statement issued in Onitsha on Friday by its National Publicity Secretary, Dede Uzor A. Uzor, CD decried the lingering epileptic power supply in the country, particularly in the South East zone, asserting that Fashola has failed woefully to increase the megawatt from the 4,320 he inherited since two years ago to till date.
The group regretted that the minister rather allowed the megawatt to decrease to less than 1,000 at the moment, a situation which he said forced Nigerians to witness zero megawatt on January 30, this year with a total nationwide power blackout.
It called on the federal government to separate the Works and Housing from the Power ministry and hand them over to another minister to oversee, to enable Fashola concentrate only on power which is presently the most important need of average Nigerians.
CD also asked him to provide pre-paid meters to all Nigerians, particularly in the South East, within that 30-day ultimatum period to assist in checkmating estimated bills on poverty-stricken Nigerians, so as to controvert United Nations, UN’s recent prediction that Yemen, Sudan, Nigeria, Syria and other countries would face acute food shortage in the near future.

Nigerian total national debt rose to N17.36 trillion ($56 billion) as of Dec. 2016 from N12.60 trillion a year earlier, the Debt Management Office said, as the country battled with its first recession in a quarter of century caused by low oil prices.
Nigeria, Africa’s biggest economy expects a budget deficit of N2.36 trillion for 2017, with half of it funded through domestic borrowingIt has been selling bonds and bills this year at yields below rising inflation to curb borrowing cost as it battles to kick-start the economy this year.
Foreign bonds and loans stood at $11.40 billion at the end of December, the debt office said on its website – equivalent to about 20% of total debt and up from $10.7 billion at the end of 2015.
Local debt spiked to N13.88 trillion last year, up from N8.83 trillion in 2015, this is bound to rise further.
The government has said it will raise N130 billion at its third domestic debt sale this year on March 15 and sell N1.13 trillion worth of treasury bills by the second quarter.
Nigeria also plans to issue a new savings bond this month targeted at retail investors to broaden its funding base followed by a N20 billion “green bond” sale in April.
It sold a $1 billion Eurobond last month and wants to sell another for $500 million. The government aims to issue a $300 million diaspora bond abroad this year and sell its first sovereign sukuk in the local market.
In December, President Muhammadu Buhari, presented a N7.3 trillion budget for 2017 to parliament, an increase of N1.22 trillion from 2016.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) University of Ibadan Chapter, says it is awaiting the approval of its national body to embark on a one-week warning strike.
The union, at an emergency meeting presided over by its Chairman, Dr Deji Omole, on Wednesday in Ibadan, threatened to proceed on an indefinite strike to protest illegal pension deductions and a shortfall of salaries.
Omole gave the management up to March 10, to address the issues or face an indefinite strike.
ASUU asked the Governing Council to mandate the Vice-Chancellor to present to the staff unions the budget, detailing the personnel cost, capital and recurrent expenditures as presented to the university Senate.
According to ASUU UI, all unions of the institution are convinced that pensions deductions hitherto are illegal, the university must be refunded since 2004.
“While ASUU awaits the approval of the national body of the union to proceed with its strike, its non-academic staff counterparts have also resolved to proceed on an indefinite strike unless the issues are resolved favourably.
“Failure to implement all the items stated above by Friday, the staff unions in the university, arising from the warning strike earlier issued in August 2016, will embark on an indefinite strike,” Omole said.

AKEREDOLU WILL FULFILL ALL CAMPAIGN PROMISES – APC
source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/03/akeredolu-will-fulfill-all-campaign.html

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State on Wednesday reassured residents that Governor Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) would fulfil all his electoral promises.
The APC reiterated this in a statement in Akure by its Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Adesanya.
He promised prompt payment of workers’ salaries, job creation through industrialisation and agricultural revolution as well as peace and stability.
Reacting to the advice by the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) against creation of new local council development areas, Adesanya said: “Akeredolu will fulfill all electoral promises.”
PDP had warned the governor against his proposal to create new local council development areas out of 18 local government areas promised during Akeredolu’s electioneering campaign.
Adesanya stressed that there would be creation of local council development areas as promised by Akeredolu during campaign.
“Contrary to what played out during the last administration, APC-Akeredolu is poised to steer the state’s affairs in the right direction and also deliver the true dividend of democracy to the good people of Ondo State,’’ he said
Adesanya berated PDP for leaving behind a whooping debt of about N150 billion, eight months unpaid salaries of workers and several months of unpaid allowances and gratuities of pensioners.
“What moral justification has Ondo-PDP leadership to advise APC-Akeredolu’s government?”
“We view your advice as anti-developmental and evil against the people of the state.
“It’s a clear attempt to derail our government so as to create bottleneck and distraction for Akeredolu.
“The former government has no useful ingredient at its disposal to complement the efforts of this current administration,” he said.

It has often been argued whether or not the likes of WizKid, Davido, Timi Dakolo and so on deserves a Grammy in their shelves. A strong argument came from some people who believe the Grammy's are just being unfair to Nigerian and African artists in general, they supported their claim on grounds that the nominations hardly include any African artists. Others believe these are artists are not just there yet and they need to w work more on their game, some even believe them to be RACISTS!!! These arguments now bring us to the question of the day which is; Are Nigerian Artists not Good Enough??

UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against both Arsenal and Bayern Munich over incidents in the Champions League tie at the Emirates on Tuesday night.
The game was won 5-1 Bayern, who completed a 10-2 aggregate victory over the Londoners, but visiting fans threw toilet rolls onto the pitch in the early stages to protest against high ticket prices.
That has led to UEFA imposing a charge related to the throwing of objects, a statement said, while Arsenal have been charged after a fan ran onto the pitch in the closing moments of the match.
The incident happened in the 88th minute and has resulted in the home side being charged in relation to “field invasions by supporters.”
The intruder briefly interrupted play moments after Arturo Vidal had scored the fifth goal for the Bundesliga champions.

The Nigerian Customs Service has said it is going ahead with it planned car duty payment despite resolution by the Senate for it to halt the policy.

The Senate had on Tuesday ordered the Customs to halt the auto duty payment policy, and summoned representatives of the Service to appear before it to throw more light on the issue.

But the service on Wednesday said it had made some adjustments to the policy and believed the senate would give its endorsement, especially after the Comptroller General meets the lawmakers to explained the details.
Acting Public Relations Officer of the Customs Service, Joseph Attah, explained some of the changes to the policy while addressing a press conference at the Customs headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.

He explained that the point of payments for vehicles whose duty have not been paid will now be at the nearest Customs Area Command, with the exception of Lagos and Port Harcourt.

PDP CRISIS : ONDO PDP CAUTIONS AKEREDOLU ON CREATION OF LCDAS
source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/03/pdp-crisis-ondo-pdp-cautions-akeredolu.html

Following the dissolution of local councils in Ondo State, the state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cautioned Governor Rotimi Akeredolu against creating new Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), saying it will cause unnecessary distractions and confusion.
The party claimed there were alleged plans by the Akeredolu administration to create LCDAs and appoint members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as council chairmen.
PDP’s Director of Publicity, Mr. Ayo Fadaka, who had earlier raised an alarm on alleged plots to attack the PDP council executives by APC members, said in Akure yesterday that the creation of LCDAs would only cause unnecessary tension in the state.
He also alleged that the APC-led state government plans to starve the PDP controlled 18 local councils of funds and the necessary support for smooth administration.
But the Vice Chairman of the APC in the state, Mr. Ade Adetimehin, assured that the government had no plans to create new LCDAs at the moment and dismissed PDP allegations as wrong and misleading.
“I don’t know where the PDP got their information from. Creation of LCDAs takes a long process and it is not in our plans for now. We just took over the government. What we are doing now is how to move the state forward. The PDP is just raising unnecessary alarm,” he said.
But Fadaka said: “If they think they want to create LCDAs because those that currently control the local government in the state are members of the PDP, we must tell them that they are really preparing for a serious discord in our state.”
Meanwhile, Akeredolu had assured that he has no plans to dissolve the existing local government councils as it had been widely speculated before and after his swearing-in ceremony.
The governor’s lawyer, Mr. Charles Titiloye, disclosed at the Court of Appeal that the governor was unaware of any suit on dissolution of the 18 local government councils in the state.
Whereas Akeredolu had purportedly appealed a judgment delivered by Justice Olasehinde Kumuyi of the state High Court in January 2017, restraining him from removing the council bosses from office.
But Titiloye affirmed that the governor was neither aware of the High Court order restraining him from dissolving the councils nor the appeal supposedly filed by him.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday in Abuja said that government would progressively review the rules of engagement by the military and across the nation’s security system, and take into considerations human rights issues.
A statement issued Monday by his spokesman, Mr. Laolu Akande, said Osinbajo made the promise during a meeting with members of the United Nations Security Council who are on a visit to the country.
Osinbajo also said it was time for the international community to take another look at the international legal instruments and conventions governing warfare and conflicts in the light of the very unconventional and brutal operations of terrorists and insurgents around the world.
He said: ”We must, on a global scale, look again at how to deal with these new challenges. We need to look at the governing conventions, what type of legal categories, recognition of law we should give them (to the perpetrators of terror and insurgents).
“We need to re-examine how to deal with these individuals according to law.”
He said that the government’s Social Investment Programme (SIP) including the conditional cash transfer, the micro credit scheme and the N-Power job programme, would cater to the developmental needs of the North-eastern part of the country affected by the insurgency.
He said government was already disbursing the cash transfers in some Internally Displaced Persons’ (IDP) camps and host communities.

PDP CRISIS: WE NEED SAFETY GUARANTEE TO RESUME – STAFF
source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/03/pdp-crisis-we-need-safety-guarantee-to.html

Staff National Secretariat of Peoples Democratic Party on Monday said they would not return to work even after the reopening of the secretariat until they were assured of their safety.
The workers, in a communiqué issued at the end of a meeting at the party’s temporary secretariat in Wuse II, Abuja, said the certainty of the end to the leadership crisis in the party had remained hazy.
Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff had on February 23 forcefully reopened the national secretariat after the Court of Appeal In Port Harcourt affirmed him as authentic national chairman of PDP.
In the communiqué read by the Director of Administration, PDP, Alh. Gurama Bawa, the workers said that they would not resume until all ongoing litigation on the issues were settled.
They said that one of the major casualties of the party’s power tussle were the staff, many of whom had spent 17 years of their working lives serving the party.
It said, “The staff members have witnessed their salaries peter away, receiving just about 32.50 per cent of their 2015 salaries.
“Their housing, transport and other allowances have all fallen into arrears, with many members of staff thrown out of their accommodations by landlords.
“Members of staff are desirous of resuming work after having been made victims of problems they never caused, but are concerned about their safety.”
The workers recalled that after the court judgment in 2016 which validated the party’s national convention held in Port Harcourt, “members of staff were requested to resume duty in May/June 2016.
“The staff in obedience did so but only in the few days they reported for work, they were harassed and intimidated by demonstrators and protesters.
“We were violently chased out of the offices, many had to run away leaving their personal belongings which we understand have now been vandalised by unknown persons.”
They said apart from appeal already filed on the latest judgment, “the staff members are also concerned that the BoT has written a protest letter to the Inspector-General of Police against the reopening of the secretariat’’.
According to the communiqué, the letter, which is to avoid breakdown of law and order, again highlights the danger that staff will be exposed to if they resume duty as directed.
They said that one of the things that would guarantee the safety of lives in the secretariat was the full implementation of the February 17 Court of Appeal judgment.
They, however, said that the judgment appeared to be implemented or observed in the breach as Sheriff surprisingly resumed at the secretariat without the National Working Committee.
They said that the judgment ordered the maintenance of “status quo ante as May 21, 2016’’, meaning that the 12 National Working Committee members of the party should resume duty immediately with Sheriff.
He said, “But, only three out of the 12 members of NWC namely Prof. Adewale Oladipo, the National Secretary; Alhaji Bala Buhari, National Treasurer and Alhaji Fatai Adeyanju, National Auditor are the only ones working with Sheriff.’’
“The situation is more frightening to us as staff in the light of the fact that those working with the Acting National Chairman are those handpicked through processes that are alien to the PDP Constitution.
“For example, Dr Cairo Ojugboh, presently officiates as Deputy National Chairman when he was a candidate in the May 14, 2016, PDP Zonal Congress where he contested for the office of the National Vice Chairman, South-South but lost to Chief Emma Ogidi.
“The same untoward recruitment holds for Bernard Mikko from South-South geo-political zone who now operates as Acting National Publicity Secretary as against Chief Olisa Metuh who is from South-East.
“Other similar anomalous recruitments are in other offices. Staff members are afraid that again seeds are being sowed for violent contestations that would endanger their lives and properties,’’ the communiqué said.
The staff commended efforts of former President Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP Governors Forum to work out a political solution to the crisis and prayed for the success of the efforts.

My name is Tunde, am the last born of my family. i was born in a very rugged part of Lagos popular known as Mushin, I grew up to the age of 5 before my dad was sick and we later relocated to our house in the outskirt of Lagos, life was different from the old ways. My Dad was seriously sick, and his leg and hand were paralyzed but he struggles to walk. I love my dad so much because I was his favorite and he cares about me , before he was sick, he bought me a brand new bicycle before he was sick which I ride around.
We live from hand to mouth, which my brothers will have to go and hustle and come back before we could eat, Sometimes we starve throughout the whole day, and my mom will go out and collect bread #50 in credit which I will eat with water. Someday I will cry and cry for so many hours which my mom will console me, that my brothers will soon be back that I will eat soon.
This happened for so many months before God finally answered our prayer which our first born now own a shop at Ikeja computer village where he repairs and sell computers, a few years later, everything turn around and we started living a good life and it was like all our problems is gone , the next year, our first born travelled to America and came back with lots of goodies and wears, he bought me a shoe and a top I so much cherished it. Not so long, I lost my Dad and my other brother was in school at the federal university of technology. I was Later asked to go and live with my uncle at Ibadan who was a special adviser to the governor and it was a life of luxury because I was excited about me relocating to Ibadan. My uncle enrolled me in Federal Government college and I was to stay in the school hostel. New environment, New life, New People. I suffered mockery, hardship, and abuse because I have never experience that kind of life before, my former school was a private school and here it is different, I faced a lot of bullies, abuse from my seniors and hardship but I later get along and adapted to life at the hostel, I completed my secondary and I came back in Lagos. On getting to LAGOS I STARTED LIVING WITH MY SECOND BROTHER THAT WAS WAS SENT PACKING AFTER HE CAME BACK FROM NYSC BY OUR FIRST BORN (MY BROTHER) WIFE, HE WAS SCOTTING WITH A GUY CALLED MATHEW IN AN UNCOMPLETED BUILDING. SO Life started there with me and my other brother (Meji) , he has gone for many job interviews but he couldn’t get a job, so he started hustling at Ikeja and he starting earning some money . I was home writing songs then because I have passion for music. I later met a friend on street popularly known as baboo (the Local street hiphop star) which promise to help me .so I saved my feeding allowance given to me by my brother for a month before I could raise 5,000naira, baboo took me to the studio. it was my first time in a studio, I was super excited, there was an artist recording already he sound very good, he is popularly known as Incredible pelse . he sounds like Rkelly and I was so touched by the way he sings. Now it was my turn , I was standing like a dummy , so the producer played so many beats until I finally love one so I brought out my paper were I wrote all my raps, I wanted to be a rapper.it took me almost 8hours before I could finish my song, the producer was so angry and said i will have to bring more money that have wasted fuel. I recorded my first song , titled – Won ti Gan Pa … the song was so amateur but the lyrics is fair for a starter.. so I later got a job as a cafe attendant and I get 10k monthly and i use half of my salary for a studio section and I recorded more songs ,I was admitted to the polytechinic of Ibadan which I started my full time music career and was popularly known in school..after I completed my OND I was back in Lagos. I Met with an Event Manager and Promoter he listened to my song and he love it, he said for me to perform in his show , I will have to pay him 20k..i don’t even have 2k to my name , I try and try so harder to secure a show in Lagos but all my effort is futile because it was different from the way we run stuff in my school. I met a popular guy who is just still upcoming in his career, he promised he his going to get me big shows in Lagos.. so he invited me to his house on getting to his house , he started making advance to me and he started telling me stuff like there is filth in riches that he is a gay and this what happened in the entertainment industry.. 10 YEARS AFTER, OBASANJO, GBENGA DANIEL RECONCILE

source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/03/10-years-after-obasanjo-gbenga-daniel.html

Barely 10 years after both former President Olusegun Obasanjo and his estranged political son, former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel went their separate ways, the duo have finally resolved differences.

The indication emerged when Daniel visited Obasanjo in his hilltop home in Abeokuta on Thursday night, and was reportedly warmly welcomed by the former President.

Daniel had been at loggerhead with Obasanjo over ten years, over political differences, alleged to have been caused by political sycophants and rumour mongers.

The former Governor was said to have been rude to the former president, a development which made Obasanjo to severe relationship with him.

It was learnt that the duo also had dinner together alongside other guests at the home of Obasanjo, and later engaged in ribcracking jokes, to put the differences behind them. Obasanjo who was in high spirit throughout Daniel’s stay of three hours, also assigned him role on his 80th birthday, stressing that he holds no grudges with him. He said that if he was still annoying with Daniel, he would not have allowed him in his house.

“If I still hold any grudges against you, I won’t have allowed you to come into my house. But all those are past things, and I am convinced that you have learnt your lesson’, Obasanjo told Daniel.

Similarly, Daniel expressed appreciation to Obasanjo for having change of heart, pointing out that he didn’t mean any harm against him and that he has always held him in very high esteem as the father of the nation and father of all.

He said he was comfortable to have returned into fatherly arm of Obasanjo, with assurance that he remains his son comes rain come , comes shines.

'ALTHOUGH BUHARI MET A BAD ECONOMY, BUT HE HAS MADE IT WORSE' - SOLUDO
source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/03/although-buhari-met-bad-economy-but-he.html

Former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has said even though the Muhammadu Buhari administration met a bad economy,he has made matters worse.

Soludo noted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) government promised to restructure the country but has regretfully jettisoned the idea.

“Politicians are always full of propaganda and falsehood but Nigeria will not be rescued by looking at government alone, only citizens united will come to the rescue,” he said.

The ex-CBN governor said only Nigerians can save the country from the “massive compression” that the economy is in.

“Until citizens hold them to jugular and ask them to deliver on their promise, Nigeria will continue to drift without united citizens action,” he said.

Soludo said everybody blames the leadership for every wrong while the citizens overlook their obligation to remedy bad situations.

He added that citizens can save the country through a new Nigeria.

The ex-CBN governor spoke in Enugu yesterday at the African Heritage Institution Policy debate, the Big Ideas podium.

Other speakers include former Cross River State Governor Donald Duke, member, Presidential Economic Advisory Board, Prof. Akpan Ekpo and former presidential Chief Economic Adviser and Director of Institute for Development Studies in the University of Nigeria, Prof. Osita Ogbu.

Soludo said: “Nigeria is a fragile state with failing economy and everybody wants leaders to do this or that but what do we do ourselves?

“By 2005, indices indicated Nigeria was in 54th position and we said we should do better but today we are 13th alongside countries like Afghanistan.

“This is serious and it won’t be a tea party to get out of it. Nigeria is in recession in Naira terms but in massive compression in terms of US dollar.

“Recession is a small thing and it would be a miracle if in the next eight years, this government can return dollar to the rate it met it.”

The economist stated that it was a big luxury for people to just mind their own businesses in a falling economy.

“We will get the leadership that we work for, that we demand for.

“If only the politicians can implement 20 per cent of their manifesto, what they promised in their campaigns, the country will change.

“We must all resolve to get our voices heard. Peaceful agitation must be tolerated because they call for our attention for perfection upon which we move Nigeria forward.”

BusinessWhy Naira Is Appreciating - Cbn by alphonsojaybaz(op): 8:30am On Mar 03, 2017
WHY NAIRA IS APPRECIATING - CBN
source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/03/why-naira-is-appreciating-cbn.html

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) said yesterday that the currency’s appreciation against others was the result of its market monitoring and intervention.

Its spokesman Isaac Okorafor refuted the claim that illegal sale of FOREIGN CURRENCIES at ridiculous rates was responsible for the change IN FOREX policy.

Okorafor, who spoke in Sokoto, also explained that the appreciation of the Naira was in no way connected to the allegations of illegal sale of foreign currencies.

“I want to state categorically that there is no relationship whatsoever between the allegations that dollar was being sold at 61 kobo and the current appreciation of the Naira.

“What led to the appreciation of the Naira was that the CBN did an intelligence on the market and realised that what was driving the demand on the Bureau De Change (BDCs) and parallel market was speculation.

“We reasoned that since there is a lot of pressure on the two segments from people seeking to buy foreign CURRENCIES for BTA, tuition and medicals, that if we successfully addressed that, the pressure will come down.

“Also, before now, the level of our reserves was not enough to make us comfortable enough to really do the kind of intervention that is required.

“We decided to do so now because we are a bit more comfortable with our level of reserve,” he said.

Okorafor said since the new FOREX policy, the CBN had intervened with about 591 million dollars in the market, which had led to Naira gaining strength.

“Let me also state as proof that when we placed 500 million dollars in the market, only 370 million dollars was taken.

“That tells you that the real demand is 370 million dollars. When we placed 230 million dollars in the market, only 221 million dollars was taken.

“Anybody who has gone foul of the law and the security agencies have caught up with him, should go and face his or her case and stop causing confusion among participants in the market,” he said.

Celebrities“she Is A Cheat & A Liar” – White Wedding Pictures Of #bbnaija Gifty Released by alphonsojaybaz(op): 6:41pm On Mar 01, 2017
“SHE IS A CHEAT & A LIAR” – WHITE WEDDING PICTURES OF #BBNAIJA GIFTY RELEASED BY HUSBAND’S COUSIN
source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/03/she-is-cheat-liar-white-wedding.html

The cousin to Gifty’s alleged Husband, David Sorochukwu Akumah has revealed more details and shared photos as proof to show that indeed Gifty of Big Brother Naija is a married woman.
Recall when Gifty was in Big Brother House, traditional wedding pictures with her alleged husband, David Sorochukwu were posted online.. and then when she was evicted from the house, she claimed she’s not married and has never been married.. that the whole wedding thing was a Lie…
But these proof by her husband’s cousin, Augustine Akumah is saying otherwise.

Read The Details below and See photos below:
#GiftyBBN.. It’s appalling that you will never in your life be truthful even when you are caught in the act. JESUS!
I am Engr David Akumah’s Cousin who refused to be quiet even though my family members are mostly scholars and God fearing,…and wish not to meddle with things that will bring more disgrace to the family’s name…
but now I say Enough is Enough! Please Readers be aware
(TRUTH BE TOLD)
Gifty is Married to my Cousin David Sorochukwu Akumah AkA Sodafaces… a renowned Nollywood Director and Producer whom am not surprised that he decided to keep quiet over this matter till now because of his meek nature as a Quiet-Busy-Responsible man and had in the Past, vowed not to be associated with what ever Gifty is involved in because of scandals.
For the Records! My Cousine David never uploaded Gifty’s wedding pictures as an instrument in removing Gifty from BBN as accused, or to claim her further as his legally married wife,… rather what he did was to shut down Folders of upto 1000 copies of both Bachelors, Traditional and White wedding pictures of him and Gifty from hisFACEBOOK account, immediately after they had a problem that was not properly managed by the couple themselves about Gifty’s Cheating Life while still in his husband’s house.
It’s a Pity that Gifty is still a very big Liar, never truthful to her new Fans and will never be because that’s how her fake identified super model mother as she said in Pulse TV interview brought her up. Obviously you can’t give what you don’t have…Gifty was not morally brought up due to want of making it big with the mother by all means over the years.
Please Nigerians disregard whatever that comes out from that big fake liar’s mouth called Gifty because she cannot give what she does not have which is TRUTH. She was trained by a funny Mother who gave birth to over four children from different men inwhich all the children she have, never knew their father including the so called Gifty (#FACT).
Gifty… I decided to fight dirty through this piece of write up because you don’t know the disgrace you have robbed and brought upon Rev. Professor Akumah’s family which I belong to. You are a wife not some girlfriend of Mr2k or whatever he calls himself..and a point of advice to all men out there….please I beg of you try and find out a little info about any woman you are having an affair with because you may be sleeping with another man’s wife and thereby bringing a curse to yourself …don’t forget our traditions in Nigeria is still very strong to fight offenders…
…And for #BBN or #BBA…please make true identification findings about married people on your show before reducing our Nigerian morals to zero.
Gifty those pictures online you saw and decided to react with lies when the game is over was a 2014 mobile upload pictures you used your hand to upload through my Cousin’s phone when you guys were living together as husband and wife…obviously because you felt he had more Nollywood followers in FB than you and decided to use his platform unknowing to him of the wrong English expression you had attached to those posts of yours that turned against you..now he is undergoing a public disgrace and accusation from your likers that he wants to either use you to sale out as a brand or bring you down…Rubbish! Something he innocently knows nothing about and even does not know how to react to the blackmail because he is also a public figure.
I swear you get luck no be me dey marry you…seriously I for finish you in this your stupid online game.
In their wedding on 6th April 2014, our former Governor His Excellency Senator DR. SAM EGWU was in attendance alongside other important government dignitaries at Assemblies of God Church Odunukwe in Abakaliki followed by a grand wedding reception at WDC Hall in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State (#VERIFY- Please you are free to ask your friends around Abakaliki because it was a huge wedding)
Gifty! that your Husband whom though do not want to change his mind in not bringing you back to his house after all his family’s persuasion to do so when your manipulative immoral mother came to his house at Asaba and took you away to Ghana simply because she asked for my cousin after one week of their white wedding to open a boutique for her (Gifty’s Mother) in a choice place in Lagos and he begged her to be allowed for sometime to enable him recoup from his just concluded wedding spendings which she vehemently refused and took you! her daughter away.
I can only say may God forgive you and your mother because to you people… traditional and white wedding is just like a one day bikini Party ..chaii..na moneyooo my cousin take use package such wedding no be Paperooo Danm!…
Please Gifty this is not Liberia where your mum grew up…This is Nigeria where a woman can only leave her husband for good or bad either by way of tradition through giving Dowry back by the Elders or Court dissolving the union via Divorce proceedings.
Please Be wise and say the truth before you loose everything including your new fans and be rest assured that my cousin Brother may not accept you back because you and your mother have crossed the line…and if you continue blackmailing or threatening him weather publicly with your so called Online PR Team or phone calls as you and your mum is doing at the moment, then I will be forced to release Audio and Video facts of all of these am saying because I know some of your likers will still blindly say these pictures below i took with my own camera during their traditional and white wedding and also when the couple were signing Marriage certificate were all photoshopped or you are been framed as usual…So in absence of your next actions, I say May God help your mother to help you redirect your life positively before its too late since you both are inseparable. I believe you can also make it bigger with little or more morals like most of our Nigerian celebrities… GoodLuck
AKUMAH AUGUSTINE.

PASTOR ADEBOYE GOD’S PRECIOUS GIFT TO NIGERIA – GOVERNOR AMBODE

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode on Wednesday showered encomium on the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, as he clocks 75 on Thursday, March 2, 2017.

The Governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Habib Aruna, described Pastor Adeboye as a minister of God who has over the years exhibited an unrivalled passion to expand the work of God and humanity at large.

Governor Ambode said that aside the fact that Pastor Adeboye has distinguished himself as one of the most revered clerics in Nigeria’s Christendom, he is a father figure to millions of people across the world due to his virtues of honesty, peace, patience, contentment, humility and diligence. “Pastor Adeboye is no doubt a man of many parts.

His simple life of transparency, openness, truth and grace make him one outstanding personality worthy of reference. He is indeed God’s precious gift to the nation.

It is indeed the mercies of God that has kept him waxing stronger and aging with grace. “For many of us who had the privilege of being taught and nurtured by Pastor Adeboye, we were always motivated by the way he delivered the Word in his unique and eloquent manner.

Even at 75, he is still carrying on strong and spreading the gospel of Christ at every given opportunity,” he said. Governor Ambode, while wishing him a happy 75th birthday, also prayed that the Almighty God will grant Pastor Adeboye long life and more strength to continue to be a role model to the body of Christ.

In 1992, Kanayo made his debut film appearance in the film Living in Bondage. Kanayo has starred in over 100 films.

He is currently a United Nations ambassador and bears the title of MFR. Read his birthday message.

"My dear friends, Proximate and distant. Today's March 1st. It's my birthday. It's a day of sober reflections. I have a lot to thank God for but a lot to reminisce over. How can I celebrate? We live in very challenging times and at cross roads. The citizenry is divided along ethnic and religious lines. There's so much waste of lives, innocent blood crying all over the land. How then can we have peace? Families are in pain of either want or insecurity. How can I celebrate? My heart goes out to those caught in the web of displacement in their own land, widows, orphans( especially those orphaned by unnecessary killings) and internally displaced persons, who cannot even explain the cause of their displacement. I ask, How can I celebrate? Human life just became a number. Sanctity of life is subsidized. We shall overcome and pray NEVER to walk through this PATH again. #OverAndOut"

PoliticsI Don't Want To Be President Or Have Plans To Be - Tinubu by alphonsojaybaz(op): 7:52am On Mar 01, 2017
I DON'T WANT TO BE PRESIDENT OR HAVE PLANS TO BE - TINUBU
source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/02/i-dont-want-to-be-president-or-have.html
All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will never stand in any contest against President Muhammadu Buhari or support anyone against him, his Media Office said yesterday.

Tinubu pledged his continued loyalty to the president and the APC in a statement to debunk Thisday’s story published yesterday.

The statement titled: “Response to Thisday false news report” added that the former Lagos State governor was neither planning a team nor holding consultations with the intention of planning any presidential campaign.

It also said Tinubu would never join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or any mega party, having laboured hard to bring the APC to life and power.
The statement said: “The front page story of the February 28 Thisday newspaper alleging that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is actively planning a presidential run is an example of bad fiction masquerading as professional journalism.

“The story is a manufactured tale weaved by its authors to try to create division where there is none.
“Those who wrote this fantasy seek to place Asiwaju Tinubu at odds with President Buhari. Writing such a baseless report is a very foul and wrong thing to do.

“The story carried the headline ‘Tinubu Prepares for Presidential Run, Dumps PDP, Mega Party Alliance’. The headline is remarkable in the fact that every bit of it is utterly wrong.

“First, Asiwaju Tinubu is not gearing up for a presidential run. So there will not be any doubt about this core matter; we shall state Tinubu’s position clearly and unequivocally so that even Thisday reporters cannot misinterpret his position.

“As long as that patriotic and committed man named Muhammadu Buhari holds and seeks to hold the mantle as our president, then Asiwaju Tinubu stands behind him in unwavering support and confidence.

“Asiwaju Tinubu remains faithful to the mission of progressive reform and change that President Buhari, he and the All Progressives Congress (APC) have started.

“Tinubu was instrumental in the formation and success of the APC. His toil and efforts helped establish this government. He is not one to tear down something he laboured so dutifully to build.

“Instead of trying to convey the truth, the THISDAY report opted to gain false sensation by completely mocking the tenor of the brief banter Asiwaju Tinubu had with journalists at the inauguration of Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu. When asked about future political office, Asiwaju said he could not discount that possibility if the nation called upon him for such service, provided, he emphasised, that all political conditions were appropriate; particularly the office in question would have to be vacant, even if it’s local government chairmanship. In our political lexicon, this means the office is not held by a member of the APC in good standing. We all know this.

“Moreover, if you really listen to his words, Asiwaju did not mention any office or any time-frame. The conditions he mentioned may not become ripe for years to come and they might not pertain to the presidency. In effect, all Asiwaju said was the position that any political figure would hold.

“As a politician, he cannot preclude the possibility of running for office in the future because no man knows what the future will hold. To translate this general statement of political reality into a tale that he is actively preparing for a 2019 presidential run is reckless in the extreme.

“For that newspaper’s reporters to have engaged in this great leap of counterfeit logic means they purposefully bowed to the pressure to create false headlines instead of following the ethics of their craft to follow the truth even if the truth is more pedestrian and less volatile than what the reporters would have liked to hear. “They have turned themselves into newsmakers instead of remaining true to their calling of being neutral conveyors of events.

“Asiwaju Tinubu has not held any planning meetings for any such presidential campaign and is not contemplating any such meetings. He has no present list of possible running mates because he has no present intention of running.

“The headline also libels Asiwaju by asserting he was going to join the PDP. This is as shameless as a lie can be. Asiwaju is acknowledged to be the intellectual father and the driving force behind the APC.

“It makes no sense that he would abandon the party that he worked hard to build in order to enter the dilapidated building the PDP has become. Asiwaju worked for over 16 years to break the PDP yoke on the nation.

“After breaking that yoke, it is not in his nature to voluntarily place it back on our necks. Anyone who has followed his career, even his staunchest critics, knows Asiwaju for his partisan consistency. He is not a party hopper. He is loyal and sticks with the party to which he belongs.

“After fighting for so many years to elevate his party to the position of national leadership, he would not give that away in order to join with those who blame him for their currently bleak political circumstance.

“We understand all too well the genesis of this false news report. For their own reasons, THISDAY has joined with those who seek to put Asiwaju Tinubu at odds with our President.

“This scam will fail. Asiwaju supports and stands behind President Buhari. He wishes the president well and that he returns soon. Whether the president is here or away, he has the full loyalty of Asiwaju Tinubu.

“President Buhari can rest assured on this point: Asiwaju Tinubu will never contest against him nor will he support anyone who does.”

AGAIN EFCC RECOVERS MORE VEHICLES FROM EX CUSTOMS BOSS ABDULLAHI DIKKO INDE
source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/02/again-efcc-recovers-more-vehicles-from.html

Barely six days after 17 exotic vehicles were recovered from a Kaduna warehouse belonging to former Comptroller-General of Customs, Abdullahi Dikko Inde by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), another set of items including vehicles, tricycles and motorcycles have been recovered.

The items which were recovered on Monday and Tuesday from another warehouse said to be property of the former Customs boss include a 2013 model 32-seater Nissan bus, 42 cargo tricycles, one tipper truck, 16 motorcycles, over 500 rug carpets and two fire-proof safes.

Briefing newsmen on the recovery in Kaduna on Tuesday, Zonal Head, EFCC Kaduna, Bappa Ibrahim said, the recovery was made based on intelligence report and tip-off at the disposal of the agency.

He said the operation which led to the recovery of the items was a continuation of the anti-graft agency’s investigation on the former Customs boss.

Ibrahim said, the items were recovered from a warehouse, off Nnamdi Azikwe Express Way, around NASFAT village, in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Meanwhile, the two recovered safes which were broke opened by EFCC operatives in the presence of press cameras contained only few documents, an iron stamp, 50 and 20 naira notes, amounting to N1,560 and polythene bags.

The Zonal EFCC boss refused making comments on the documents found inside the safes, saying further investigations would be carried out on the documents.

According to him, “As you can see, we have recovered more items from the former ComptrComptrroller-Generaleco of Customs, Abdullahi Dikko Inde. The items include 32-seater Nissan bus, 42 cargo tricycles, one tipper truck, 16 motorcycles, over 500 rug carpets and two fire-proof safes.

“The recovery was possible because of tip-off we received and intelligence report. We made the recovery from a warehouse belonging to former Comptroller-General of Customs, Abdullahi Dikko Inde around NASFAT village, off Nnamdi Azikwe Express Way, here in Kaduna.

“The fresh operation which started on Monday, 27th February, 2017 till today is a continuation of the last week operation which led to recovery of 17 exotic vehicles”, he said.

He however called on general public to always assist the anti-graft agency with useful information, as the war against corruption is responsibility of everyone, and should not be left for EFCC alone.

Newsmen sighted a passport size photograph of the former Customs boss, Abdullahi Dikko Inde on one of the documents.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), had on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 recovered seventeen exotic vehicles in a warehouse in Kaduna belonging to the former Customs boss, Abdullahi Dikko Inde
