The elections have come and gone, and we have all realised that democracy in Nigeria is an illusion. What really operates is an autocracy, powered by the wealthy and powerful few and brought into operation by an highly efficient rigging machine[a.k.a INEC]. We all knew what happened, but we have little evidence. Why? I am still wondering how the PDP got all the votes they had in the Niger Delta; they must have been very popular? INEC would deny any instance of rigging or dismiss it as the rare cases that occurred in 120000 polling units. This is all to maintain a corporate image. In fact rigging has become a corporate institution in Nigeria; fill in the gap. |
