You are only entitled to know the price if you can place order for10 million litres with cash in ha account
No marketer will do that. They need to know the price before making such huge financial commitment. No sensible business will place such order for a product that is controlled without knowing the price per liter.

Can't NNPCL simply announce the price itss buying from Dangote? After all, its a public enterprise that is controlled by FOI
NNPC is not know for transparency. Now, can Dangote do better considering how he’s been very vocal since the beginning of the year.

Up till now and from the topic, are you not aware that dangote is not selling to marketers?
Because they refuse to buy from him. It all has to do with the price. Nigerians should insist on transparency from both NNPC and Dangote. They should tell us the price from the refinery.

You don't get it, they are not allowing Dangote to sell to Maketers, he is selling back to NNPC. The price at which crude is sold to Dangote is also secret. No freight, no dollar impact, yet they are telling us fuel will still be over 800naira.
Can Dangote please come out to publicly tell us his price? For the past two weeks, NNPC told marketers to go and buy from Dangote and they refuse. Why did they refuse to buy from the refinery? What’s the price Dangote is offering them? We need all the information to be made public. Transparency is very important.

Politics › Re: Dangote Refinery Sells Petrol To NNPC At ₦766/Litre - Punch by ALTERNATEID: 9:21am On Sep 15, 2024
Which one should we now believe? Punch at N766 or Vanguard at N960/980?

Why is it so difficult for Dangote to publicly announce the price he intend to sell to marketers? He has been very vocal about a lot of things this year but now that it’s time to sell, he is keeping quiet about the price.

I feel so sorry for Abike Dabiri. She’s doing a great job helping Nigerians in diaspora get out of trouble but folks from the south east keep doing everything to disrespect her for no good reason other than her ethnicity.

In the case of the said Ihejerika, she visited him in prison and took up his case with the help of a pro bono lawyer till he was released. Now, see the way Ihejerika’s people are paying her back with hatred and insult. Smh.

It look like dangote us looking for monopoly and a government fixed orice.

More like dangote cannot competes in a competitive environment even with NNPC increasing price dangote is till holding it own price.
The problem is not Dangote or NNPC. Nigerians who want cheap PMS are the problem. We want to buy PMS below the cost of production and that’s why we are having all these problems. NNPC is even trying to do Dangote a favour by pushing the price close to market and then offering to be the sole off taker so that they can absorb whatever is left through under recovery but Nigerians shouted and told NNPC to stay away. Now, NNPC has told Dangote to sell directly to marketers but they can’t because the official price is still below their market price.

So, what’s the way forward? The way I’m looking at Dangote, his PMS may even be more expensive that imported PMS. I just sincerely hope I’m wrong.

The reason the government easily deceive and scam many of u with lies, they send all manners of people to social media to write all manner of rubbish to support their criminal acts
This same man had been selling diesel and jet A1 from his refinery for months now we didn't hear this story, why because diesel and aviation fuel has been deregulated,he want to start selling petrol now we dey hear all manner of stories because petrol is being subsidized and they want the subsidy scam to continue.the same NNPCL who have been opaque and not transparent to Nigerians all the years they have been importing fuel, now playing all manner of games because the local refinery doesn't belong to them and every kobo of sale and refined products can be accounted for, hence the tricks and corrupt practices will be exposed and buried by Dangote refinery.
Does common sense not tell us why NNPCL choose to continue to import petrol for over 30yrs and having spent over 20 billion dollars for turn around maintenance yet no refined product coming out of the government refinery?
And besides why do u think NNPCL want to have a permanent office stationed inside DANGOTE REFINERY?
Who want the subsidy scam to continue? Nigerians who don’t want to buy PMS at the actual market price or NNPC that told Dangote to sell directly to marketers on a willing buyer and seller basis?

That being the practice doesn't make it right.

so tell us why a research Institute in Oyo is handling constituency project in Lagos and Rivers?

if not for corruption, are there no resident MDAs in Lagos and Rivers for their indigent NASS members to use?

see below quotes from former Presidents on this issue as seen on Vanguard

Obasanjo, Buhari, Jonathan take positions

Obasanjo himself who started constituency project in 2023 once described it as nothing but corruption, saying, “You and I know what constituency project means, it is simply corruption.”

Former President Muhammadu Buhari echoed similar claim in 2019 when he said the impact of the trillions of Naira voted for constituency projects could hardly be seen in the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

On his part, former President Goodluck Jonathan had said “don’t put the goat where yam is because the goat will eat the yam” in apparent reference to corrupt acts dogging constituency projects.
Sadly, only the National Assembly has the power of appropriation. All former presidents have tried to fight them over it unsuccessfully. Except the constitution is changed, nothing can be done about it.

As regards your first question, it is the choice of the lawmakers to decide the MDA they want to execute their constituency and Zonal intervention projects. MDAS can’t do anything about it. They simply see this projects in their budget after it has been passed into law. Not implementing it means violating the Appropriation Act.

Go and check the budget of the following agencies for constituency projects from other states

1. Federal Cooperative College, Orji River, Enugu - N103Billion
2. Federal college of Horticulture, Dadin Kowa, Gombe state - N48Billion
3. Federal Cooperative College, Kaduna - N28billion
4. Hadejia Jamare River Basin Development Authority Kano - N10 Billion
5. NCAM, Ilorin - over N20B
6. National stored product research institute, Ilorin -N26billion

Above is just to mention a few. As you can see, Orji River in Enugu took the lead.

So it's a cocoa Research Institue in Oyo of all MDAs that should handle street lights in Lagos?

Are you for real?

These smells corruption in all facet, there is no justification for it. Please stop defending corruption.
Pick a budget and read my friend. That’s the practice since 1999. Check the budget of Federal Cooperative College, Orji River, Enugu state and see the over N100 billion budget for constituency projects alone. Cocoa research Ibadan is even very small in terms of allocation so I don’t understand why BIDGIT singled them out for this kind of misleading story.
Politics › Re: Cocoa Institute In Oyo Got ₦250M For Lagos Streetlights Project In 2024 - BudgIT by ALTERNATEID: 12:41pm On Sep 12, 2024
This is a very misleading report. The projects in question are constituency projects initiated by lawmakers from those constituencies. Lawmakers normally take their projects to any MDA of their choice and that has been the practice since the Obasanjo administration. Trying to make it about Lagos because Tinubu is from Lagos is simply misleading and disingenuous.

When it comes to constituency and zonal intervention projects, the number one agency in Nigeria is Federal Cooperative College, Orji River in Enugu state. In the 2024 capital budget alone, they have over N100Billion in constituency projects from different states up to the north. So, why is BUDGIT not writing about them?
Politics › ₦‎8 Billion Not Enough To Audit Over 1,000 MDAs – Auditor General by ALTERNATEID(op): 9:10am On Sep 12, 2024
The Auditor General of the Federation, Shaakaa Chira, on Wednesday, said the N8bn budget for the Auditor General’s office is not enough to audit over 1000 Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and the N28.7 trillion annual budget.

He also said his office is in partnership with the National Assembly for the passage of the Audit Bill which has been in the legislative chamber for the past ten years

Chira stated this in Abuja on Wednesday at the public presentation of the Office of Auditor General’s strategic plan 2024-2028.

Speaking on the strategic plan, he said the OAUGF 2024-2028 plan encapsulates the aspirations of the Management and Staff to contribute to the government’s agenda to stem the tide of corruption, reduce waste and revenue leakages to the barest minimum, guard against diversion of public resources, while calling for more funding as the current budgetary provision is inadequate.

He said, “It may surprise everyone to note that the OAuGF currently audits or conducts periodic checks on over 1,000 Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) including Nigeria’s Foreign Missions.

“While the federal government’s budget has been growing over the years, the finances made available for the OAuGF to carry out the audit have reduced compared with the related tasks.

“For instance, the total allocation to the OAuGF for the 2024 financial year is N8,165,312,037.00 (Eight billion, one hundred and sixty-five million, three hundred and twelve thousand, thirty-seven naira), with 65% as personnel cost, to audit the federal government’s budget of 28.78 trillion for the same period, aside from the current proposal of additional N6.2 trillion laid before the National Assembly which will bring the total budget to 34.9 trillion.”

He said while the constitution makes a broad provision for the independence of the OAuGF, “the specifics in terms of operational/administrative procedures, its finances, etc., to preserve its independence are not in the constitution.

“This is why all over the world, each audit office is further backed by an audit Act.

“At this juncture, I want to commend the 10th House of Representatives, particularly the PAC of the House for the passage of the Federal Audit Service Bill as I plead with the 10th Senate to give expeditious concurrence to the bill which is already before it.”

Also speaking, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, affirmed the government’s commitment in supporting Nigeria’s audit system.

On this one, the Kano state governor is right. Everyone must leave service when they get to the statutory retirement age. Extending the service of some people beyond 35 years or keeping people who are over 60 years in service will only lead to stagnation. When those at the top refuse to leave, how will others move up and new ones get recruited into the service?

That’s why African countries are all fvcking poor. A one eye man is a king in the land of the blind. I saw this from my Google search and from what I noticed ,Libya also an oil rich country like Nigeria is the lowest with barely 0.03 dollar per litre .
Currently in Nigeria, we now have a dollar exchanging to 1600 naira and fuel is now sold at 1300 naira and very soon they may become equal
So what is now the benefit to Nigerians of becoming an oil rich producing nation?
We are now making use of the gas prices of the United state of America when we don't have the economy of the USA.
Nigeria is not an oil rich country. We pump barely 1.5million NPF for a country of over 220m people. That is not ooo rich in anyway.
