Oh God let it be true. Hunger won kill us teachers. I don suffer this period no be small

Please we really need this as private school teachers. I currently have just 2k left on me, right now. I dont know what to do after that. I was teaching in a private school and two tutorials just to make under 60k. I didnt see me being out of salary four 2months. I was using my school salary for contribution. I was to 'pack' 100K April ending but covid19 came too soon. Now i am stranded. After covid19 i will still be teaching because i love it. But this period is so hard for me.

One lesson I have learnt from this COVID-19:
It is better to be unemployed and develop or learn a skill than be a private school teacher.

My advice to everyone about to finish school or service:
NEVER consider teaching as something you will do before you secure a better job. Instead learn how to fix phone, laptop, make shoe or clothes. If it is not government teaching job, you are wasting your life and you will regret it when you get old.

I want to try transcribing. I saw it here in this forum. I borrowed a friend's laptop. The problem i have now is to get a modem. I dont know if a good samaritan can help me with modem or 3,500 to buy on. The last time i received a salary was in March. Plus i am using an itel torchlight, so i cant connect it to the laptop. I have tried to borrow money but no one wants to give me and i am not good at begging consistently. Can anyone help please?

bro why not give to this NGO Transforming ajegunle projects. They are on facebook. I have reached out to them for help. I am a private school teacher in ajegunle. Teachers in ajegunle earn below 24k a month. Plus we didnt receive full salary for march and no salary for april. I dont have anything on me. Please government should please mandate private schools to pay April salary. It looks like the school i am teaching wont be paying us April salary. I have told myself that if i dont receive April salary i will leave teaching. How am i going to survive the lockdown? I have been teaching there for 4years and i love it but we rarely make ends meet. I had to teach in JAMB Tuturial class to augment the income (no hope on the tutorials paying at all). Government should give private schools loan and mandate them to pay. My school can pay but they wont. Ministry of Education should just issue 'small threat' and school owners will do the needful.

Which would you guys recommend i buy? A laptop or 3gb ram phone for this job? I have been saving since January for this. I am expecting to pack 60k in ajo at the end of this month. I want to quit my teaching job and focus on this. I had to teach in 1 school and 2 tutorials to make ends meet, which is so stressful. Experts please i need your input.

Before i was like if the cases get to 100 in Lagos then i leave but i saw a thread where ppl from Lagos are checked at the Niger bridge. It is just a matter of days and they 'might' close the bridge and that's scary if the number of cases increases.

I need your advice concerning this corona virus of a thing. I have been reading about it and they said people with underlining health conditions are likely to experience a severe attack. I have a serious health issue and i am scared. My mom in the village calls me twice a day lately, i know she is scared too that's why she keeps calling. I am thinking of going back to my village in east. From what i am reading online, major cities that are financial capitals are the worst hit by the virus. Check the stats in Milan, Madrid, New York, Lagos, etc and compare to countryside like the village. I can just take a break from work now that i still can. Please what do you think i should do?

Choice of University is important. For me, I didn't do too well in my jamb (214) and I knew I had to give my all in my post utme. I was offered admission because i had the highest post utme in my department. Unizik is a good school.
