NYSC / Nysc/banks Are Still Squeezing Corpers Dry Over #19800 by alutarabbi: 12:55pm On Jan 26, 2017 |
*OPEN LETTER TO NYSC, ACCESS BANK AND CONCERNED CITIZENS.* (From an Aggrieved NYSC Corps Member) I am a Batch B, Stream 1 NYSC Corps member currently serving in Sango Ota, Ogun State. I wish to write of the exploitation, shady deals and inconvenience NYSC Ogun state and Access Bank are putting us through. During registration in Camp-Sagamu, we were told to compulsorily open a new account with Access Bank (the only bank that came to camp). And just like everybody else I did, despite informing the Access Bank staffs that I was operating an Access Bank account already. (I would leave the bad attitude, gum-chewing and gossip engrossed response of the staff for another day). Some days to the camp, we saw alerts for our 'allowee' - 19,800 naira. Only to realise later that 1,300naira was deducted for ATM Card without an alert from them. This was the first sign of exploitation and fraudulence. Why? - an ATM Card is charged for 1000 naira, Where did the additional 300 naira come from? Whose pocket did it go? - why were we not duly alerted of the deduction? So, camp closed and we all went back to our homes to prepare for proper PPA resumption. Only for some of us to receive SMS that transactions on our accounts have been stopped due to BVN and signature related issues. The inconveniences this caused left many of my mates stranded. All due to negligence of Access Bank staffs. Furthermore, within the last 10 days, we have been bombarded with different types of charges, draining an already insufficient 19800 naira. - Card maintenance fee: 1100 naira - Monthly Admin processing fee: 105 naira Postage stamp and others sef join. Kilode? Wetin dem dey maintain? After deducting 1300 naira? State no pay, PPA no pay.....still on top 19800 we go chop, pay rent, transport, buy data, keep body together. Allowee don finish before e enter sef. Now the 19800 is being threatened by familiar foes. As Corps Members, we expect the NYSC to push for discounted initiatives for us, not cut-throat instances we have now. We appeal to NYSC and Access Bank management to free us from these shackles. Our vow is in sun and rain. Not in exploitation and corruption. *THETA* _NYSC Corps Member._ #copied |

...I truly think this is worth sharing! Here's a thought provoking suggestion to the government of our great country Nigeria. ߇㰟Ǭ ߇㰟Ǭ ߇㰟Ǭ *A senator earns N36,000,000 monthly*. If this is divided into two, he collects N18,000,000 and the balance *N18,000,000 can be used to employ 200 Nigerians who will earn N90,000 per month.* 200 persons multiplied by 109 senators = *21800 employees*. This means that 200 Nigerians can live comfortably on half of a senator's monthly pay. *A member of the Federal House of Reps. earns N25,000,000 per month.* If this is divided into two, the 'Honourable' earns N12.5million per month. The balance *N12.5million will employ 135 Nigerians who will earn N92,500 per month*. 135 Nigerians multiplied by 360 Honourables in the Federal house of Reps. = *48600 employees*. 135 Nigerians can comfortably live on half of a monthly income of just ONE Honourable member of Reps. *This administration can actually EMPLOY 70,400* *Nigerians who will earn N90,000 and N92,500 respectively _just from the simple REDUCTION of the monthly income of both Senators and Rep members_!!* Do the maths.... Now it's your responsibility to forward to your *Senator* and *House of Rep member*... *CHANGE should begin with the NASS!* Please Re-broadcast!! ߇㰟Ǭ *GOD BLESS NIGERIA*߇㰟Ǭ #copied |

It is not the heartless politicians that play with our lives and shortchange our future that hurts me but their ability to reduce the reasoning faculty of the masses and turn us against each other, making education unaffordable thereby making common sense unbelievably uncommon, Distracting us from stoning them whenever we see them. truly the most effective way to destroy a man is reducing him to a lower animal. i fear that this is the same propaganda we'll be entertained with throughout 2017, and our good brains are once again reduced to analytical tools. #NoBetterTimeToCallOnGod 6 Likes 4 Shares |

Politics / Ondo 2016; Oke Raises Alarm Over Release Of N7billion To Akeredolu For Rigging… by alutarabbi: 7:18pm On Nov 05, 2016 |
Ondo 2016 Press Release: The Olusola Oke Campaign Committee has cried out to President Muhammadu Buhari on the plans by members of his cabinet to surreptitiously release the sum of Seven Billion Naira (N7 billion) to the All Peoples Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ondo State, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu from a bogus N10 billion infrastructural contract slated for Owo community of the State to perfect plans to rig the November 26, 2016 election in the State. The Organisation while raising this alarm in Akure on Friday, alleged that the plan was hatched in the Federal Ministry of Works, Abuja wherein a bogus contract was without due process mooted for works on some infrastructures in Owo area of the State where Akeredolu hails from and then divert a substantial parts of the money towards rigging the election. In a release issued by the Chairman of the Publicity Committee of the Organisation, Mr Kolawole Olabisi, “the boast of the APC which had been sedentary in its approach to canvassing for votes in the State is that they would rig this election even if only one vote is cast for them. They have been preaching it and now they have profess it with this dastard plan perfected and supervised by the top echelons of the Government to use government funds to make good their threat.” According to the Olusola Oke Campaign Committee, the contract sum was perfected and released without going through due process and the money has now been earmarked as part of the war chest to be used by the APC to rig the election later this month. “We want to appeal to President Buhari to be aware of what is being done by members of his cabinet in their vaunted ambition to win this election at all cost and immediately arrest the situation. While we have been going round the State canvassing for votes from the people, they have remained in their offices boasting that they will use Federal Might to rig the election even if nobody vote for them. “The APC members in Ondo have been preaching this strange gospel of rigging and we are now amazed by this latest antics to win the election with the award of a strange contract for a whopping N10 billion for Owo community where Akeredolu hails from with a view to releasing a whopping sum of N7 billion to him to make the rigging plan a reality. “The pertinent question to ask now is that, why a contract in Owo, which has one of the best road networks in Ondo State? Who approved this contract sum and why did it not go through due process such contracts had to go through? “We want to assure them that the people of Ondo State are watching them and the consequences of rigging election here await perpetrators. Winning election should not be a do-or-die affair,” the Committee posited in the Statement. While calling on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions (EFCC) and other anti-graft agencies in Nigeria to beam their searchlights on the activities of the Mr Babatunde Fashola led Federal Ministry of Works, the Oke Campaign Committee, reminded them that those who live in glass houses do not throw stones. Its words: “If we have been probing those who were alleged to have embezzled our treasure-troves and those who doled out monies without following due process, it will be strange that those sitting on the throne of Justice now are equally perpetrating the same offence they sit in justice over others, it is such an absurd development. “We, therefore, called on President Buhari, a noted democrat and a man fabled for his aversion for graft to immediate call to order those attempting to make nonsense his fight against graft and election rigging the order of the day to order as it portends grave danger for the nation. Election must be free and fair and the will of the people must be allowed to prevail.” www.ondoevents.com/2016/11/04/ondo-2016-oke-raises-alarm-over-release-of-n7billion-to-akeredolu-for-rigging-enjoins-buhari-efcc-to-beam-searchlights-on-works-ministry/ |
