InesQor:
God respects covenants that are done in pure motives that align with his own precepts. I believe God will not respect an agreement just because it is an agreement.

For instance it is rather absurd to imagine that God will respect a covenant that CONTRADICTS his own plans or covenants, or say a covenant that is instituted by the devil.

Those are just two examples, but generally speaking yes of course it is very possible that people get married and God does not honour their agreement. The same way people do business and God does not honour the agreement, or nations have war covenants or peace treaties and God does not respect it!
You are yet to give me practical proofs of a 'non-approved' marriage. Also check the highlighted about CONTRADICTS. I like that and that will go a long way in answering your question.
What marriages CONTRADICT the laid-down convenant or agreement by God which God does not approve? I believe you have answers to this since you asked so state which ones you had in mind thst brought about the question?

InesQor: @alwaysTrue: Good points. I have some questions if you please.

Do you accept that it is possible for someone to be legally married and yet God does not approve of their marriage? If so, is sex within that marriage then a defilement of the marriage bed? If so, how do we know which marriages are approved by God?

I will ask a question regarding the 'God approval' part....how do you know God, who respects (note I said respects) convenants, does not approve of that marriage?
What are the proofs of non-approval you know of?

Lordlexyy: The fact that society does it, doesn't make it right. I perceived that you are a Christian, but be careful not to justify what most people tagged as normal. These are evil days when most people have sold there conscience to the devil for fleshy gratification. Read Galatians 5:19-26 and get back to me. As a young man, your concern should centered on pleasing God rather than finding out about sexual experiences. There is much honour being a virgin than losing one. Those who had lost it, will give little meaning to it. Sex is for married folks and not to be experiment with.
Thank you. No matter how anyone tries to justify it, the bible is clear. God will not force anyone to obey Him that is why we all have a choice.

Leviticus 21:14
A widow, or a divorced woman, or a woman who has been defiled, or a prostitute, these he shall not marry. But he shall take as his wife a virgin of his own people,

Applicable to both men and women though but any woman (man) falls either into:

Widow/widower - Spouse is dead
Divorcee - Been put away
Defiled or raped - forceful
Prostitute - consenting due to lust for money or pleasure or any gain
Wife/Husband - Noone can fault this
Virgin - Kept

I Corinthians 7:8-9
8 To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is good for them to remain single as I am.
But if they cannot exercise SELF-CONTROL, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion

1 Corinthians 7:36
If anyone thinks that he is not behaving properly toward his betrothed, if his passions are strong, and it has to be, let him do as he wishes: let them marry—it is no sin.

Self-Control is a fruit of the spirit. Even bethrothals (people set to marry) are told to marry so they do not give in to their passions before time. What more proof is required that the marriage bed should not be defiled for God will judge those who go against His will.
What is the key thing in a wedding...the GIVING AWAY, LEAVING to CLEAVE.

C.Ovo:

We're now in a world where saying you're a virgin attracts mockery&most people say it's lack of opportunity. No girl would want to marry an 'inexperienced' guy and most guys won't marry a girl who doesn't know how to do it.
Sin is bad,but is it ok to involve in fornication just to get the neccessary experience needed or just wait till marriage before doing it?Everyone I've spoken with said YES,so I wanna throw it out to you guys.

The question you should ask yourself is what does God say about it? You will know this through His word and the Spirit in you that will tell you if you are a Christian.
The answer is obvious however. It is your CHOICE to go in line with it or against it.

Sparrows (1)

Tuesday, 17 December 2013

'...Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.' Luke 12:7

In teaching us how to live, Jesus used sparrows to illustrate His point. For the next few days let's look at them: A worthless sparrow. 'Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God...Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.' (Luke 12:6-7) In Christ's day they didn't sell hamburgers, they sold sparrows on a stick that had been roasted over a fire. You could buy two of them for one copper coin. But you could get five for two copper coins; the vendor threw in the fifth one free. That meant it was worthless. What was Christ's point? You are valuable in God's eyes! Do you feel like if you weren't around nobody would miss you; like your life means nothing? You'd be surprised how many people, even high-profile ones, struggle with a sense of inferiority and inadequacy. When God called Jeremiah to be a prophet, he explained to God that he was afraid of people. So God said, 'Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you.' (Jeremiah 1:8 NKJV) When you feel worthless you conclude that others feel the same way too, so you begin to approach them fearfully, or aggressively, or even resentfully. What's the answer? Remembering your worth in God's eyes! There is no rejection in His love, only complete acceptance. You're connected! You have a friend in high places. Jesus said, '...I have called you friends...' (John 15:15) Will everybody accept you? No, but when you base your worth on God's love and acceptance, you're free to enjoy life.

Religion / Re: My Personal Views On Going To Church by Alwaystrue(f): 9:35am On Dec 17, 2013
@OP, nice post. Many things we do in life is because we were born into it as well. Many were born into deeply occultic societies but left, many have the deepset belief that marriage has to be at a certain age and going to school is compulsory, so at the end of the day, you still get a whole lot of deepseated belief systems.

Any Christian who studies the bible knows the importance of fellowship and church. So its not about feeling like going to church or not, many do not feel like going to school, office or meetings but they do. There are so many things we gain in fellowship, being in one accord in the presence of God and God speaking to the church as a whole. Our presence in church is about giving and taking. The day someone told me how my presence in church encouragement to others, made me realise it is not about me but about what I can give to others in terms of spiritual discuss, presence, sharing testimonies, uplifting advice and so much more.
Religion / Re: "Why Does The OT Show A God Of Wrath And The NT A God Of Mercy?" by Alwaystrue(f): 3:58pm On Dec 16, 2013
God is the same yesterday, today and forever more. He does not change.

The 'difference' is just the agreements/convenants/coverage and the blood type. In the OT, when a person sinned, animal blood was used like a covering but in Christ the sins are washed away by the blood of Jesus and help is given to make the person make changes from the inside which will bring out the right approach and way of doing right.

Mark 4:30-32
30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it

And you think you faith is small? The kingdom of God is like a mustard seed that is less than all the seeds on earth. Though your beginning may be small....your latter end will greatly increase. Yes, it does not look it at all. When you compare the mustard seed size to size of maize grains, it is tiny. The yield is so much and the tree very large and lasts.
No matter whatever it is, your joy will be full and you will increase. Trust God.

Congrats baby and jossy, see as your year has been crowned, may u carry to term and deliver safely. CONGRATS!!!!!!

Walking in Your God-Given Identity

Monday, 16 December 2013

'...What is your name?' Genesis 32:27

'As they wrestled together, the angel of the Lord asked Jacob, What is your name? He answered, Jacob. Then the angel said, Your name will no longer be Jacob, which means deceiver, but Israel, which means 'a prince with God', because you have struggled ...and have overcome.' (Genesis 32:26-28.) God forced Jacob to look at his t rue identity. He wrestled him into a revelation of who he was - not who others said he was. His parents gave him his name and others called him by it, so he believed that's who he'd always be. But God had a different plan for him. Hear this: you are not who others say you are. Why should they label you? Determine who you are before God. Let Him determine the level of your success. Why should others be allowed to live at their highest potential, but not you? You are more than your past, more than your education or CV, more than the colour of your skin, more than your bank account, and more than your circumstances. Tell those who talk down to you and devalue you, 'You're confusing me with somebody else. God says I am a prince. And if I'm a prince, then I have the right to be treated like one!' You ask, 'But is that true?' Yes, the Bible says that when you walk with God, you are part of a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9). You are an overcomer (1 John 2:13-14). You are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath (Deuteronomy 28:13-14). So dry your tears, lift your head, square your shoulders and begin walking in your God-given identity.

Start Stirring...and Don't Stop (2)

Sunday, 15 December 2013

'A [gift] is a precious stone in the eyes of its possessor: wherever he turns, he prospers.' Proverbs 17:8

Paul speaks of 'the gift of God' in you (2 Timothy 1:6). It isn't something you learn; it's something He you, and nobody else can activate it for you. You 'stir' it up by developing and using it. Solomon said, 'A [gift] is a precious stone in the eyes of its possessor: wherever he turns, he prospers.' Your gift will enrich many different areas in your life, not all of which are financial. While money is the wrong reason to devote your life to something, developing your God-given gift is rewarding on multiple levels. Unfortunately, many people are jealous of other people's gifts. Don't waste time on jealousy; it's a gift-robber, an energy-drain, and besides, you should be so busy stirring up your own gift that you've no time for envy. When Louis Armstrong auditioned for music school, he was asked to sing scales. But he could only sing two notes properly, so they wrote him off. Armstrong cried when he was rejected, but later told his friends, 'There's music in me and they can't keep it out.' Consequently, he went on to become one of the world's most successful, beloved musicians, selling more records than others who were more talented. We're all born originals, but many of us settle for becoming carbon copies. Think: if you become like everybody else and join the rat race, even if you do win, that just makes you the fastest rat! Your gift will make room for you (Proverbs 18:16). So go ahead and fill the slot God designed for you.

Start Stirring...and Don't Stop (1)

Saturday, 14 December 2013

'...Stir up the gift of God...in you...' 2 Timothy 1:6

God gave you your talent, but it's your job to develop it. And it's not that complicated, because your gift usually relates to something that excites you. Think about it: God made you; He hardwired the desires of your heart. Knowing that helps you to understand why the things you find rewarding involve your innate talents and abilities. One author says: 'It's natural for a hunting dog to hunt. Coop him up and he'll lie around with no enthusiasm. But when he realises he's going hunting, he comes alive. That's because God designed hunting dogs that way. They have that passion inside them...They don't have to get themselves worked up...or say, Let me go listen to a sermon or motivational message so I can work up some zest and zeal. No, when those dogs know they're going hunting they're naturally excited... And when we're doing what we know we're called to do, enthusiasm and excitement exude from us naturally. We may not jump up and down...but deep within, we know, This is what I was called to do. This is why I was born. On the other hand, if you're doing something that's not natural, it's a struggle. If you try, train, practice and push and you still can't master a skill; recognise that it may not be in your nature. Of course we must persevere...push through and learn hard things... but in general, life shouldn't be a constant struggle.' When you're fulfilling your purpose, one of the most noticeable results is how rewarding it feels to 'stir up the gift of God...in you' by utilising your natural abilities.

Are You Running on Empty?

Friday, 13 December 2013

'I will pour out water to quench your thirst...' Isaiah 44:3

According to a writer: 'I was heading to a writer's conference on the Island when I realised I'd better think about stopping for petrol... Normally I'm fussy about where I stop...but as I drove the lonely stretch of road, I began to feel desperate... any minute...I'd be stranded in 40-plus degrees and I didn't even have a water bottle...I drove several long [kilometres] until I came to a tiny crossroads. Four houses....and a petrol station! It looked like it could be called 'MRS Petrol Station...I'd probably have turned up my nose at it in another circumstance. But at that moment [it] was the best thing I'd ever seen! Funny how our circumstances can dictate how we feel!' Running from his enemies, David prayed, '...My soul thirsts for you...in a dry, parched land where there is no water... I look for You in the holy place to see Your power and glory...' (Psalm 63:1-2) Would his prayer have been different if David had been living in luxury surrounded by servants? Not knowing where his next meal was coming from and sleeping outside every night changed his perspective. When life goes well, we become self-sufficient and forget God. Spiritually speaking, we run on empty until a spark ignites an outburst. If your car's tank is empty, whose fault is it? The petrol station hasn't moved! You chose to drive by without stopping! When you're running on empty, you end up hurting those closest to you, then dealing with the guilt that comes after a flare-up. God said, 'I will pour out water to quench your thirst.' So today pick up your Bible and refuel your soul!

Amos 9:13 AMP
Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows the seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine and all the hills shall melt [that is, everything heretofore barren and unfruitful shall overflow with spiritual blessing]

This is to someone who is weary out there. Hear the word of the Lord, the days are coming that we that are still clearing our 'land' to plant will overtake those that are already reaping their harvest and fruits. Also those who do not even have the 'seed' to even plant into the land sef but are doing what to bring out quality seeds will overtake those that have been planting. I will not go further in explanation than this...let this word settle in your spirit. There is a special grace of overtaking...yes...so much so that they that have 'left' you will be straining their eyes to see you ahead. Like the hare that ran far ahead and rested say nothing happen, the tortoise cannot meet me will be shocked to see the tortoise crossing the finish line. It is only a matter of time, commitment, patience, trust in God the enabler and divine favour. When God pours blessing on His faithfuls ehn...everything heretofore barren and unfruitful shall overflow with spiritual blessing. It is time for the overflow!

Religion / Re: Is Tithe Paid Only With Cash(money)? by Alwaystrue(f): 7:53am On Dec 10, 2013
@OP, why do you seem so bothered about this issue of tithing? You tithe on the result of your labour and I assume you know its honest labour I mean. So if you are paid with garri or cocoyam or beans, rice, then tithe these things if you want to.
Money is simply a medium of exchange. When the employer is paying someone meal alowance to put food on his table or for transport in contemporary world, they usually pay in cash. Money is not what is served on the table, it is what is used to exchange what you want. That is why people give of the result of their labour. If you have attended churches in villages, people bring things like yam, egusi, plantain to offer God. Even they understand.
But as you have claimed that you need not tithe, then get a rest.
Do things our of the integrity of your heart not just out of compliance. It is about the Spirit of understanding. Simple.

Family / Re: When Is A Person Said To Have Committed Adultery? by Alwaystrue(f): 10:06pm On Dec 09, 2013
charlsecy: I know there is a difference between adultery and fornication.

Adultery is when a married person sleeps with a person other than their legally married spouse.

Fornication is when an unmarried person has sex with a person of any marital status.

My question is, when is a person considered legally married, such that if the person sleeps with another person, it will be considered adultery? Is it after verbal proposal, after bride-price paying, or after traditional wedding?
Biblically and even per tradition, the bride is GIVEN AWAY (usually by her father or rep) to the groom in marriage and the groom accepts her is the seal of a marriage but if you have a 'commitment', you should keep it and stay.
Bethrotal is not the same as marriage, it is not about asking someone to marry you and she accepts and you go meet anyone else. Besides sex is for marriage.

Let us look at the story of Abraham when he was told to sacrifice Isaac, just imagine how he slept the night before the day. This one no be vigil matter. God had spoken and he obeyed. Abraham had sacrificed that boy in His heart already to God, God had to swear by Himself that in blessing He will bless Abraham and all nations of the earth will be blessed.
What can we give to God? Do we become something else because of a slight delay? Or do we turn it around to glorify God?
Thanks so much for your encouraged attitude, it encourages me.

@Cjnone, this testimony ehn! What caught me the most was where you said about the woman that 'God has taken her to another dimension of patience and trust in God. Nothing seems impossible in her sight again.' Let patience have her perfect work...and we will not be lacking in anything...nothing will be impossible again. That is it. When certain shortcuts are taken, we end up not getting to certain levels with God...may be for the future even not now. I am inspired by the word of her testimony and it has strengthened me and us more. God is just too faithful. Person mouth go 'tear with wonder' at His work. This may even make her husband cool down and change. God's blessings are without sorrow.
You asked why God allowed those boys enter the fire first? To show He is Lord over the fire. Why did He allow the woman emotional trauma? To show only in Him is the truest joy, no man can give us joy, na only happiness they give. When everyone thought it was the end of the woman, she became Iya ibeji of her husband's own children, not new husband o.

He's a God of Restoration (2)

Monday, 09 December 2013

'...You shall surely...recover all.' 1 Samuel 30:8

One day the Amalekites swept down on King David's home town, burning it to the ground and taking its families captive. In this scene of devastation, David and his men '...lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep.' (1 Samuel 30:4) Now, God will let you grieve your losses because that's healthy, but He won't allow you to stay there too long. So God said to David, 'Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.' (1 Samuel 30:8.) Did David and his men get back everything they had lost? Yes, and much more besides, for our God is not only a God of restoration but a God of abundance. You say, 'I feel so ashamed of the years I have wasted.' The God Who created time can give you more of it. 'I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten... the consuming locust...You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the Name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be put to shame.' (Joel 2:25-26) Notice the word, 'plenty'. When God blesses you, it will not come from an eyedropper or from a rationed supply. No, you'll be able to sing, 'His love hath no limit; His grace hath no measure, His power no boundary known unto men. For out of His infinite riches in Jesus, He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.' Ever since Adam and Eve 'blew it' in Eden, God's desire and plan has been to restore to us all that we have lost. So come to Him today and let the restoration begin.

2 Kings 8:5-6
5 And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.
6 And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.

This is the story of the woman of Shunem who often refreshed Elisha when he passed by. Something she did so willingly opened the door of her breakthrough from barreness and death of her child.

It was because of her goodness that Elisha was able to tell her of the coming famine to the land and advised her to leave for the period. Gehazi, Elisha's servant, was sharing a testimony to the king afterwards, about the miracles wrought through Elisha and the woman of Shunem returned to reclaim her land and property.

Gehazi recognised her, informed the king and protocol was broken for her sake to ensure she received all that was hers.
Today our testimony will open doors for us in unimaginable places. When people hear the miracles God did for us, they will be willing to help because tey see favour and know God is with this one.

Or do you want to tell me that in the future when anyone here hears NANICHUKWU, he or she will not investigate whose child he is to confirm if he is Udoka's and shower favour on him because of the testimony?
God has plans for all of us, he made all things work together well and the right time which will be a continuous door opener for us because He is faithful.
Believe God today, He has seen the end from the beginning and He is playing the cards right.

'I will restore to you...' Joel 2:25

Whatever life has taken from you, God can restore. He may not give you exactly what you want, but He will give you what's best. And even when you fall under His corrective hand through disobedience, if you repent, He will reinstate you to a place of blessing. You say, 'But what about the time I've wasted, the opportunities I've squandered, and the mess I've made of my life? Sometimes I wonder if I've fallen so low that even God cannot reach me.' No, there's hope for you. The Bible says, 'Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.' (Isaiah 59:1) After wasting all that he'd inherited from his father, the Prodigal Son returned home, penniless and embarrassed. All he wanted was three square meals and a job in the servants' quarters. But the moment he confessed his sin, his father called for the best robe, the fattest cow, the newest shoes, and a ring of sonship restoring him to his rightful place as a member of the family. Even under the crushing weight of the Old Testament Law, with demands that no one could live up to, God said, 'If a man steals an ox or a sheep...he shall restore five oxen for an ox and four sheep for a sheep.' (Exodus 22:1) Now if God would do that for those who lived under the Law and on the wrong side of the cross, how much more will He do for those He has redeemed? So you can go to Him today with confidence, knowing He's a God of restoration.

Genesis 49:25
Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:

Our God of all flesh is an awesome God! He knows the beginning from the end. He had fore ordained the importance of provision for the fruit He releases to us.
See the order of the Joseph's blessing: the breast BEFORE the womb! Our Heavenly Father always provides FOOD before He permits HUNGER. It takes opening of our eyes like Hagar's to see this provision (Genesis 21:19).

The breast nurtures while the womb conceives and carries:
In Jesus words in John 15:16 'that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain'...we understand the importance of having provision ready for our babies so they will 'remain' and provision in this sense is a happy and healthy marriage, shelter, food, clothing, physical and spiritual education and peaceful environment.

Let us therefore, know the importance of praying for the future of our children and see all the learnings gained during the delay as the 'milk' that will be needed to nurture our children as Isaiah 65:23 says 'They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble'.

cheesy Lateef4me,
Amen! Lolz. I did not mean to beat you to it o grin, just the way of pressing into the messages. There was a day update was not till about noon when I checked.
Ok let me leave the floor for you for the next few days but if by 9am, no update I will update. I love the way we all strive to update.

@odunharry, weldone. Thanks for asking of each person's welfare. We are fine. Today's message is so inspiring. Who are those of us willing to interceed, some find it easier to tear down, slander and castigate thus build resentment within but what about one the attributes of love in 1 Cor. 13 which is love believes the best of people and prays for them. People do not realise it takes sacrifice to hold up the hands of others and bear each others burdens.
We have been given a ministry of reconciliation not condemnation or retaliation. May the love in us show forth in our works.

Reach Outside Your Comfort Zone (2)

Friday, 06 December 2013

'...How can they hear, unless someone tells them?' Romans 10:14

John Ortberg says:
(1) 'Never rule anybody out. Jesus reached out to tax collectors, lepers, sinners and Gentiles, and they shocked the religious establishment by saying yes...Maybe there's somebody in your world who's so far from God you've written them off...a relative who ridicules your faith...an acquaintance who's resisted for years...somebody so steeped in sin you think there's no hope? Never say no for another person...you don't know when their heart will soften or how God's Spirit will work.'

(2) Put yourself in the other person's shoes. Ortberg continues: 'Blocks from my parents' home...is the largest Buddhist temple in America. I checked it out and received amazing insight into how intimidating it is to go into a place of worship as a stranger not knowing the customs. When you invite someone to church, they're much more likely to go if you go together. Then have a coffee together and talk about what took place.'

(3) Be the hands and feet of Jesus. Jewish law prohibited lepers from having contact with non-lepers. But when a leper approached Jesus, He reached out and touched the man who hadn't been touched in years (Mark 1:40-45). Was Jesus infected by his leprosy? No, He infected the leper with the Gospel, because Jesus was more contagious with God's power than the leper was with his disease. Be a contagious Christian who infects others with God's love. Look at your hands. How often do you extend them to someone far from God? His Kingdom has been spread the same way for two thousand years: by believers who reach out and bring people to Christ!

Zikkyy:

my sister it is one thing to believe and it is another thing to adopt or implement. We all believed what we read (I know I do, if I cannot speak for others). I am not arguing belief here so you wrong to say I do not believe. Did Jesus say Christians should or must implement all statement directed at the Pharisees? Did he say how this was to implemented? Was it Jesus that converted tithe of agric produce to cash from whatever? Or was it Jesus that said it must be taken to the pastor? What exactly did Jesus say?
Why ate you asking me what Jesus said? You have a bible don't you? If you don't believer what Jesus said, and cannot understand what Paul said, I said I can't help you. You must think I will answer questions already answered countless times here. There is no need, it doesn't change anything with you. So be sure of what you believe, I believe mine without having to ask such questions...

Zikkyy:
don't blame me ma, reference to prostitutes and robbers is not my fault. Pastor is yet to tell us that prostitute, robbers, ritualists, corrupt politicians, blood or fraudulently obtained money are not tithe-able. Everything goes into the same tithe box/bag no segregation, pastor prays for all tithers including robbers, prostitute e.t.c., pastor's sermon on tithe is addressed to all, in fact some peeps been telling us that tithing is a kingdom principle applicable to all. So how can you say I have no case?
Yes, the same sermon preached by pastors on godly living is heard by all these people, teaching against robbery, prostitution, ritualism. Offerings, tithes, other donations are dropped by these people not just tithe so like I said you have no point. Even you might have received gift before 'unknowingly' from such people. Any giving even with the wrong heart is not honourable.
God is the judge of which giving He will accept like Abel's and those he will reject like Cain's so stop trying to help God.
That is all I have to say to you on this.
Thank you.

there's nothing to get. Nowhere in scriptures will you find Jesus teaching tithing to Christians. Maybe you are telling us that it was Jesus that taught 10% of salary (including the payment of tithe of income from prostitution, robbery, money ritual e.t.c), I guess it was Jesus that taught Christians to tithe their allowance (aka pocket money). I honestly don't know what you are reading cos the reference to Paul is not an attempt to explain Christ tithe teachings.

All Jesus words had people that BELIEVED Him, 'Christian' was a word used by some people to call Believers just like we have people call Believers 'SU'. All the play of words does not change the fact that it was Jesus words spoken to the hearing of all.
You have chosen not to believe it so relax.

Lol, will believers of Jesus be prostitutes, ritualists, robbers in the first place? Sorry don't mix church-goers with believers of Jesus. All those people you mentioned above would also give to the poor, does that make it right? No. So you have no case again.
You have said you believe anyone can do whatever with their money, so leave them to do it. Stop saying and not doing. smiley

Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

John 15:7
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

John 6:33-35
33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
