Actress Dorcas Shola-Fapson have said that Nigeria is a dangerous place.

The Shuga star in an interview with Blanck Magazine said she learnt that from her experience with the Taxify driver saga.

She also revealed that she is not an extremist, but strongly believes in equal opportunities and working towards eliminating gender inequality.

Serena Williams was fined a total of $17,000 for three code violations during her loss to Naomi Osaka in the U.S. Open final.

On Sunday, a day after the match, the tournament referee’s office docked Williams $10,000 for “verbal abuse” of chair umpire Carlos Ramos, $4,000 for being warned for coaching, and $3,000 for breaking her racket.

The money comes out of her prize money of $1.85 million as the runner-up to Osaka, whose 6-2, 6-4 victory on Saturday made her the first tennis player from Japan to win a Grand Slam singles title

In the second set’s second game, Ramos warned Williams for getting coaching, which is against the rules in Grand Slam matches.

She briefly disputed that ruling, saying cheating “is the one thing I’ve never done, ever” — although afterward, her coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, acknowledged he was trying to send Williams a signal.

A few games later, Williams received another warning, this time for smashing her racket, and that second violation automatically cost her a point, leading to more arguing.

Eventually, Williams called Ramos “a thief,” drawing the third violation for “verbal abuse” — and costing her a game, putting Osaka ahead 5-3.

“I have never cheated in my life!” Williams told Ramos. “You owe me an apology.”

Under Article III, Section P of the Grand Slam Rule Book, “verbal abuse” is defined as “a statement about an official, opponent, sponsor, spectator or other person that implies dishonesty or is derogatory, insulting or otherwise abusive.”

The section says a player is subject to a fine up to $20,000 for each violation.

There are separate categories for coaching (“Communications of any kind, audible or visible, between a player and a coach may be construed as coaching”) and for abuse of rackets or equipment.

They made the revelation while Binta was reacting to a report on Chris Brown's baby mama, Nia Guzman saying Chris is a dead beat dad.

Singer Omawumi Megbele has finally come out to clear the air on the controversial alleged N40 million hair she rocked to Dangote’s daughter’s wedding which held in March 2018.

In a chat with Showtime, the ‘Bottom Belle’ crooner admitted that though the hair she had on to the wedding was quite a luxury but it wasn’t as expensive as forty million naira.

A Kenyan man has lost his life after he fell off from a balcony while fighting another man he found having sex with his wife at their home in Nairobi.

Dickson Samba arrived unannounced late at night and found the man in bed with his wife.

A fierce fight between Dickson and his wife’s lover then ensued.

Ex-MBGN, Iheoma Nnadi and her husband, Emmanuel Emenike are celebrating their daughter's first birthday today, August 30th.

I shared never seen maternity photos and explained that she is not ready to show her daughter off to the world.

"Back when some blogs wrote that I was pregnant, I didn’t even know I was actually pregnant. I was quite annoyed. Yes! I knew I had gained weight, but can’t a woman gain weight in peace again?� I believed it was “happy weight” or from the injection. Hence my response�‍♀�‍♀ I also had irregular periods, so it wasn’t a big deal not to see my period.
One day, I decided, let me actually go and check as I started having food aversions, nausea, fatigue etc. I found out I was 11 weeks in!!!! I sat in my car for complete one hour!

God was truly taking me on a journey that I felt I wasn’t ready for. However, carrying her was an exciting and beautiful journey.
I realized that I was way stronger than I thought. I’m so blessed.
I never missed an appointment, always repacking my hospital bag and cleaning the house�. During my third trimester, i always wondered what she’ll look like, I couldn’t wait for her to come.
My little-big baby is 1 today. Her first year on earth. So thankful to God for this journey, blessing, her good health, her cheerful self and her loving dad.

Nigerian disc Jockey, and billionaire daughter, DJ Cuppy has come under fire for her comments on feminism and giving reasons why she stopped being one.

In the interview she said:

“I used to consider myself a feminist, until I realised that I did not really understand it. I don’t like people who are hypocrites. People are out there speaking about women rights, but behind closed doors are doing crazy things.

“I will never come out as a feminist, because I am in a male dominated industry, so I have a certain scenario. I deal with men on a daily basis and I realise that they will always think that they are better than women. I don’t think it is going to solve it.

“But you must also limit the amount of attention you give them, because let’s be honest, the more energy you put into one thing, the less time you can into another.

“If I literally sat down all day and spoke about how hard it is being a woman, I won’t have time to sit here talking with you, because I will be somewhere in Alade market talking about how women need better rights.”

Nigerian born UK-based writer, Michael Lord Smith, who just got married to his Brazilian partner, Deck Farias in Sao Paolo, has revealed that he has never kissed or fancied a girl and even find himself disgusted by even having a thought about doing anything sexual with a girl.
