It's more than 2 years the evil ones established insurgency in Orlu. Ask them about insecurity in Orlu, the reply will be eeehm, there is insecurity in Imo state.
Even kids in Orlu know that the insurgency in Orlu has no business with Biafra agitation.

There is no insecurity in Owerri or Okigwe.
Forces of evil came together since March 2020 to ruin Orlu urban LGA. The evil ones tactically
induced fracas against police and army in Orlu, shouting at people to relocate, that Orlu is on fire, when they were burning Orlu LGA premises.
Insecurity extended to Orsu and Orueast, but has returned to Orlu as earlier planned. Even when calm comes to Orlu, the forces of induced insecurity will start to shoot guns into the air for people to relocate from Orlu. They even force banks in Orlu to close down.
Hardly any street in government-abandoned Orlu is motorable.

At some time I thought this people are the umuoma. Orlu is now so deserted that even harvester hotels and suits that use to be hot on Sundays is now like a grave no billions as before. Landlords and real estate investor are hit.

What they did to Orlu, the town can never recover from it. It's like a calculated plan.
People began to wonder why Owerri, Okigwe, are at peace, but Orlu became epicentre of Biafra agitation. It's like some people wanted Orlu closed down.

Nsukka got urban development attention because people of Enugu state insisted on a governor from Nsukka area who would modernise Nsukka.

Imo state is in a different plane: everyone must go to live in Owerri area, that's it for Imo governors.

Douglas road Owerri is now market and dustbin.

Worse, the gov is building another market in Ekeonunwa adjacent to Douglas road; after the market built by Okorocha in Owerri - Egbeada.
Population jam in Owerri.
The government does not recognise any other place outside Owerri as urban settlement worthy of urban renewal and development. It's like before Orlu and Okigwe can get government attention, governors must come from Okigwe and Orlu.

It is not the job of the billionaires to build a drainage, it is the job of the elected governor, and most especially, the Commisioner of Works, and the Owerri Municipal government/LGA., as well as the people in charge of the state's urban planning agency.

If Owerri Municipal local government council is allowed to design and build its drainage system, it would have done that perfectly well.

But Imo state has been unfortunate with governors who see governance as collect the federal allocations to IMSG and its LGAs to build state capital city and its vicinity. For those governors, no other place in Imo state is worth any attention.

The worst corrupt practices is in you people keeping quiet while the once developing urban centres - Orlu and Okigwe - are abandoned to rot by the government because no governors came from Orlu and Okigwe since 2007. Owerri is congested to the brim. Douglas road is now converted to market and dustbin, as gov Hope builds another market in adjacent Ekeonunwa, after Okorocha built another market in Owerri - Egbeada.
The International Market built in Orlu in 2002 is drying out, not even a pliable road leads to the market.

if Uzodinma in two years as governor had done 1/20th of the modern development which Rochas Okorocha did in Uzodinma's federal constituency in two years, he needed not too much campaign for 2nd term.
Uzodinma rather reduced the headquarters of Imo West senatorial district to rural area status, adamantly refused to do modern development here.
