Those in Onitsha who complain of roadblocks by Nigeria's armed forces should watch how Ukrainian civilians blocked the convoy of Russian soldiers entering a city in Ukrain. Nigeria's armed forces on road blocks are not doing their constitutional duty. Even police don't mount roadblocks to apprehend criminals in developed countries. Police in developed countries use intelligence networks to apprehend criminals on the road or wherever. |
Aufbauh:You want Nigeria's disintegration? Anyway, it may be better. |
Rumours have some elements of truth in them. Let it not be another coup by Hausa/Fulani soldiers to prempt power return to the South in 2023. |
anselem87:Orooo. The same way they use the federal allocations to IMSG and its LGAs to build and demolish and rebuild in Owerri since 2013, that's similar to what you condemn the federal government for doing, as it uses Nigeria's income and loans to build standard gauge rail lines that exclude the east. I condemn what's been going on in Imo state, you and others like you yab me for talking about the arrested development in Orlu which you called "ur Orlu." I emphasise on Orlu because, if IMSG gave Orlu its commensurate urban development infrastructures, Orlu should have been developing at the same pace with Owerri. Little differences in urban development existed between Owerri and Orlu in 1976. But for the sabotage by the last two governors from Orlu senatorial district, it's been stagnation in Orlu since Rochas Okorocha took Imo state to APC. Only fools from Imo state enjoy Imo state of Owerri as the only modern place, but turn round to condemn the exclusion of the east by the federal government in its provision of modern development infrastructures to rest of Nigeria. |
rtdCivilservant:Is that all you understood from there? By 1976 when Imo state was created, there were hardly any huge differences in the levels of urban development between Owerri and Orlu. Bad governance and primitive greed of an Imo group arrested development in Orlu. Two governors from Orlu senatorial district reduced Orlu to rural area status. |
goodheart01:If Russia triggers the other nuclear-armed countries to also deploy their nuclear weapons anywhere, you may not be alive after to insult me to talk like a human being for once. You sounded like one on a vengeance cause. |
rtdCivilservant:What you have in mind for "village" is a rural place not attractive for modern or rich persons to live in permanently. FYI: lots of settlements in Paris, London and other traditional cities in the developed countries are officially called village. The rich and modern also live permanently in those villages. In your mindset, except Owerri, every place in Imo state is the type of village you had in mind, and should remain like that. I am not from that type of village you had in mind. I am from Orlu. |
Idiko1:For the umpteenth time: You don't know what Conflict of Interest means. See the definition of Conflict of interest: "a situation in which a person is in a position to derive personal benefit from actions or decisions made in their official capacity." FYI, it's not the amount of insulting you made that wins you an argument. Your insulting means nothing to me because I know your level. |
EmptyGarden:Putin is nuclear armed. If this enrages him, the world is on a keg of gunpowder. Common sense: Ukrainian president shouldn't be doing things that can enrage Putin. |
The comedian has acted again. How does Ukraine joining the EU stop Russia's massacre of his people in Ukraine? This president has been chasing shadows, his ineptitude is partly responsible for the war Russia levied against his Ukraine. |
Idiko1:You don't know the meaning of the term: "Conflict of Interest." The man you call dumbass governor did not say that the Polytechnic he located in his hometown is his private property. If he says so, Conflict of Interest comes in. His hometown, Omuma, is a part of Imo state; therefore, can host any government development project. Conflict of Interest applies to former governor Rochas Okorocha's attempt to partly own the university built by IMSG in his hometown. |
Idiko1:You reshaped your comment. It becomes understable. Good. The man you call dumbass governor is lavishing the federal allocations to IMSG and its 27 LGAs rebuilding your Owerri home area to his taste, while floods drown humans and buildings in my Orlu urban LGA with many dilapidated roads. You call me a fool for voicing out the abnormality in governance. |
No more of governors contesting senate seat? If so, thay will be good news. |
Akudaisi:Yeah, Another name for it is name-dropping. |
Foolish president, the EU being abandoned by its principal member countries. |
MARKone:A Police helicopter gunship from Benin or Asaba would have dispersed the robbers after 6 minutes or so of their operation. Instead, armed forces are trained, and armaments are acquired by Nigeria principally to protect crude oil and gas deposits in the Niger Delta. |
Because you know that the skewed and lopsided political structure of Nigeria created by northern soldiers is on your favour. Let's see how this false democracy in a forced country pans out. |
seunmsg:Your Banana Republic looming large. You can't use your parochial interest to draw the progressives in Nigeria to that your looming Republic. Enuf said. |
Idiko1:Nke a o si gini? Why didn't you write in Igbo language since you can't communicate meaningfully in English language? |
Zonefree:He will tell you that he will employ younger people to do a lot of the job. So why don't he give way for those younger people to become president while he goes to rest during this his old age? |
But the task before a sprinter is easier than the task in the job you are applying for. |
The Ukraine president contributed more than half of the causes of Russian invasion of Ukraine. He wants Ukraine to join war fighting NATO. But these days, its hard to get a leader of a Western country who will choose war to peaceful methods. He wants Ukraine to join the European Union. But the European Union is no more in vogue, as foundation members seek a way to leave the Union. |
rtdCivilservant:Floods kill kids, carry away people's houses in a part of Imo state, because IMSG refuses to build common gutters and the mostly affected roads in the place. Go to Orlu urban LGA to verify this. Instead, IMSG builds underground gutters, and roads into the rural areas of Owerri using the federal allocations of the people in the area affected by the flooding. You tell me that one place in a state is supposed to be developed while others wait. Evil man is a kind word to define you and others supporting the development pattern in Imo state. IQ level: you are a dumbo. |
RareDiamond:You need a deeper understanding of Imo state. Abusing me doesn't help you. One instance: in Imo state, it's rare or impossible to find an investor from anywhere in Owerri senatorial district investing in landed properties anywhere in Orlu and Okigwe zones. It's even rare to find a person from anywhere in Owerri zone taking residence in any part of Orlu and Okigwe zones. But practically every one from Okigwe and Orlu zones dream to invest in landed properties in Owerri zone. People from Orlu and Okigwe zones migrate daily to live in Owerri area. It's a dream to nearly every young person in Orlu and Okigwe zones to live in Owerri area. Why? Because successive governors of Imo state, worse, since 2012, have not invested in infrastructural development in Orlu and Okigwe areas. Where goes the funds to have been used in infrastructural development in Orlu and Okigwe areas? Anyone who condones the ongoing evacuation of Orlu and other places in Imo state to Owerri is EVIL himself. |
rtdCivilservant:You are not serious. A state Government spends loads of funds to maintain urban infrastructures in its cities. For example, in neighbouring Abia state, we have thriving Aba and Umuahia cities. In neighbouring Anambra state, we have thriving cities in Onitsha, Awka and Nnewi. In neighbouring Enugu state, we have thriving Enugu and Nsukka. In Delta state, multiple cities like Warri, Asaba, Ughelli, Agbor. In Imo state, only Owerri thrives. Where have the funds for infrastructures in Orlu and other urban centres in Imo state gone to? Imo state is a CRIME SCENE since 2011 when IMSG abandonement of the other once thriving cities in Imo state outside Owerri started; the abandonment has gotten worse since 2020. |
emezuo17:IPOB people don't even reply them again. If someone is unable to impregnate his wife, he tells Nigeria's government that IPOB is the reason. Government sends armed forces to chase youths on the streets - imaginary IPOB people. |
Nigeria armed forces - fighting in many fronts all over Nigeria- in the northwest, in the northeast, in the northcentral, in the eastcentral, southcentral, southwester; instead of restructuring the country politically to end the wars in all parts of Nigeria. Only the northwestern loves the extant political structure and unitary government system that have crippled Nigeria. |
AlexReports:But nobody is supposed to be arrested for defamation offence. Putting all opposition in jail is dictator Idi Amin's style - outmoded. |
Ukrainians misled by NATO? What's Ukraine going to look for in joining European Union that sone foundation members are itching to leave? Why would Ukrainians risk all these envisaged assault from Russia, as Ukrainians get stuck in the primitive desire to join NATO and European Union? |
Putin is only after showing the West that he can call the bluff of the West, that's all about Putin's war against Ukraine. If Putin thought that America, Britain, Germany, France and other NATO countries will risk one soldier for Putin's irresponsible war in Ukraine, he made a big mistake. Who fights wars these days to achieve a goal? Only irresponsible persons. After war, peace can only come from a roundtable. |
rtdCivilservant:Awo people are complaining. How can you complain when your Hotel business in Owerri is all that matters to you? Many times here, you objected to removal of any of the all six tertiary education institutions of government in Imo state clustered around Owerri area, because you know the students are the ingredient to your hotel business. The same way some people from Owerri fight every governor of Imo state that contemplated relocation of Imo state University from Owerri. They are expert petition writers, they have double-crossed and stopped accreditation for courses in the Imo state Polytechnic located in your backyard at Omuma. A political blogger from Owerri said earlier that the poly at Omuma shall be a secondary school after Uzodinma leaves office. No government institution outside Owerri in Imo state is allowed to survive, who is responsible? Except Imo, is there any other state in Nigeria with only the state capital as thriving area? |
