He was the first to start fuji music after he left the army in the early 70s. He introduced fuji music to Kollington and his musics were all full of messages and knowledge but unfortunately, Kollington introduced insults into fuji music. . .

I pray for the repose of his soul. He was a legend. I cannot agree with myself which of the following FANTASIA, GABBAGE & EXTRAVANGAZA would be the best in my memory among Fuji classics.

I however have a big issue with him and some of his followers who claimed that he invented FUJI, This is a big lie. For those of us who lived through the evolution of Fuji in the west, you cannot but be worried about how people allow others to arrogate fake titles to themselves without being challenged.

Just as Sunny Ade cannot claim to invent Juju, Daddy Shokey cannot claim to invent "Swoo" or :Swagger" , Or Mandators cannot claim to invent Nigerian Reggae, 2Face cannot claim,   to invent the current Nigerian Hip Hop, it is rape of history and truth for him to claim sole ownership of Fuji. "Were" evolved into Fuji. That is the truth.

As for obscenity, all of them including Sunny, Obey (Now Pastor) sang X rated songs but in a more decent way suitable for their time.

Many may not like this, but it is true. AYINDE OLAYINKA Alias BARRISTER DID NOT CREATE, INVENT OR CONCEIVE FUJI. Period.

A young girl asked for a lift while i was in a hold-up; i obliged her. After getting in, i asked why she did not try the other route, she said: "that place is worster".   On further probing, she claimed to have A1 in Maths and various other excellent result in 7 other subjects.

The truth however is that this is not the typical example of the current Nigerian Student/Graduate. This is only good for the press to satisfy the dictum "bad stories sells".

I can tell you this: The Nigerian graduate today earns his/her degree with sweat and blood in spite of the bad press.

Our current students are overloaded and underfunded to deliver under stiffer conditions: First, the WASC/NECO is amalgamation of O and A levels. Most teachers are underpaid and over loaded. All courses now have average of 200 students per class. A non-Nigerian friend who holds 1st and 2nd degrees (Total of 4 from Canada, UK and US) screamed when he saw the Elect/Elect Syllabus of Covenant University.

I agree that the conditions are bad and i have interviewed a few terrible guys, but Nigeria is still managing to produce great guys that i have met in various places in the world. Just like in our time (15 in class), you had bad guys and good guys. The Certificates only attempts to demonstrate an individual's ability to undergo academic rigor, but in spite of the horrible conditions in our educational system, people's innate abilities would still carry them far in the world. The bad examples have been magnified by the higher number of school enrollment in Nigeria.

By the way, there is so much your country can do for you: US is not among the first 5 among the best in Secondary School Maths tests in the last 10 years. Check out the rate at which Nigerians are obtaining foreign Certifications without bribe!

What should you do as an individual: Immediately you graduate, determine and work hard at becoming an expert in a particular vocation. Someday, your expertise would be required somewhere in the world. I can assure you, i believe in Nigerian graduate, because i know people said worse things about Indian graduates in the 80's and 90's, for example, you could pick Degree on the street!

Dear Men (Especially younger ones) on this thread, please find this book called: ANATOMY OF WOMEN POWER, by CHIWENZU. I have bought 5 and they have all been 'tapped' by my friends. Their wives who have tried to read the book have never forgiven me.

The summary is that women are generally more advanced in analyzing relationship better than men. Women own the world. Men are generally brisk, rash and too quick to take decision, whereas women are more calculating. From my experiencing, when dating a girl who is financially weaker you have to be careful and watch out for her real self when she lands a job in SHELL when you are still in the Ministry.

Who forgives faster: Women, after thorough analysis. Men, after any level of ego nourishment.

By the way, there are divisions in all these religions and Politicians use arguments that would enable them use and destroy us. Mandela's ANC killed and all people of all faith could be dangerous. Violence is not the exclusive preserve of a group of people no matter how much you try to malign them.
America spend more on military than all of Europe put together. US is by far the largest exporter of weapons (DEATH). US has refused to sign all treaties that would make it defensively accountable including the sales of LAND MINES which can continue to kill for over 100 years. US has more Nuclear weapon than the rest of the world, many more of their people are unemployed.

My point is that the Middle-East crisis is beyond us. It is even more dangerous for us to get involved in it as we have enough problem. Please my people lets not get involved. As for those asking for war, please stop! Ask Liberians, Ivory Coasters, Sierra-Leone ans e.t.c Our problem is our Politicians who earn N2million/month but considers N18,000/month too much for our budget for workers. I was at the FRSC recruitment center and i cried at the level of degradation of our youth. Lets leave this religious nonsense. Let the better one among them produce leaders who will take us the way of China (Neither Muslim nor Christian), South Korea, India (Mainly Hindu, Idol worshipers like our fore fathers) and many more who have made a success of their countries.

Since nobody has given you the meaning of MySQL i thought i should help! MySQL means My Structured Query Language. It is used by developers to save information of any kind in a manner that would be easy for access by developer(s) and user(s). Some versions are free while others require some form of registration. This is off course way cheaper than ORACLE. You may learn how to use ms ACCESS first before MySQL as it does the same thing with less capacity.

My experience with floating websites is that, i recommend you do it yourself if you can get the chance; no matter what you pay most developers around are touts and the good ones are too busy to upgrade and update for you as you choose. It is frustrating! Find time from no time.

I would not bore you with the technicality, theory and process of manufacturing transformer, but the truth is once you get the above together with the right equipment and machineries you can be said to manufacture transformer in any country as long as the products meet the appropriate specification(s), otherwise no country manufactures anything.

As per Switch gears, there are many companies producing this in Nigeria; there are two in Aba. I even made a feeder pillar that has remained in service now for 22 years.

This factory is not the first TRANSFORMER MANUFACTURING plant in Nigeria. The very first one is in Calabar Free Trade zone. The company is called Danalec and it is owned as a joint venture by a Nigerian and an Italian.
They are now a major supplier to PHCN and various state governments.

I think US is blessed because the founding fathers went to America from all over the world to discover GOLD; put differently, wealth/fortune. The best people of all nations emigrated to United States to get the best and be the best in their chosen professions. They still allow the best brains into their country till today, that is why they deserve to be the biggest and the best nation on earth today.

Apart from their foreign policy which is only understood by a few people who controls it; not Executive/Legislative, the country has done well for the world.

I have been to over 13 countries in Europe and Americas and i cannot see any other nationals as friendly/generous as Americans. By the way, check the development index and Per Capital Income and you will see that Japan and China are so far away that it would require a monumental catastrophe to displace this great country at the top, in the next 5o years.

I love Americans, but i love Nigerians and Nigeria more!

Being a world class Engineer includes all the factors stated above and one factor not yet mentioned above, LUCK! Unfortunately to the Engineer luck is a major PROBLEM (Challenge) that makes the authority concerned want to challenge the Engineer to come up with Solution(s), like what Chilean Engineers recently achieved.

Please let us look at the judgement again and see how deeply depressing and wicked it is. All the  criminal and Civil charges that would have called her what she is -------A thieve, robber, rogue, have been removed and replaced with only 3 charges of misdemeanor or error of judgement. Power and the equipment used in delivering power are not bought on the shelves as your praises are suggesting. Lets take the case of PH; The power plant started during the regime of Dr Odili as part of Obasanjo's IPP master plan. The plant was completed but the produced power could not be evacuated. The evacuation was completed by Amechi.

In order to make it possible for power to get to more people, Amechi has bought hundreds of transformers which are now being installed along with those being installed by NDDC. In addition, the House of assembly members also included huge amount of money under constituency project for building INJECTION/SUBSTATIONs STATIONS.

Dr Goodluck's contribution are 1. Resume the Obasanjo IPP master plan. 2. Announcement to privatize PHCN which is also an Obasanjo agenda accepted by all the best experts in the world. Barth Nnaji who is the special adviser to the President owns a power plant (GEOMETRICS) which will in a month complete a power plant that will deliver power to industries in Aba.

Trust me i don't like Obasanjo for his arrogance and hypocrisy, but he got good advice on power from experts.

I hope our government official's brain still contains solid matter not cotton wool; otherwise they would be coming up immediately with policies that will checkmate the near dominance of our economy by South African companies and their hostile attitude to Nigerians and Nigerian businesses. They now dominate our Telecommunications, Training, Banking, yet they deny Nigerian Companies from establishing operations in SA. Examples: CABLE ONE Fiber optic Link, GTB and many other banks were denied banking license. GLOBACOM was denied Telecommunications licence.

Rastamann, I would like to know how many parts you are proposing that we should divide the country into so that there will be peace.   In April, i met a friend in Enugu who was born in Enugu. He had all his children in Enugu, but non of his children could get a job in the state Ministries because my friend's father hist originally from Asaba. Everybody in his family is Christian and Ibo.  This kind of story is like that everywhere in Nigeria. Every state higher institution have differential fees. So what do you think, ?  

I think the problem with Nigerian leadership is laziness, greed and western copycat mentality. The problem in the North is purely ethnic as result of deep poverty, not religion. In my own opinion, those who killed in Taraba did not do so because of their religious believe. In Jos, as stated by Luke Onyekakeyah (Guardian columnist), the problem was about land, resource control and ethnic mistrust not Religion. Bush did not lie to be responsible for the death of IRAQIS because he is a Christian. He and the western leaders (Not people) have an agenda. They label anybody they dislike and execute their agenda backed up by their strong and ubiquitous press. Our leaders (Including religious on all sides) don't think, they blindly log on to an agenda they don't understand to further inflate their societies.
