I actually witnessed  similar incidence like this at Aba in 1992. A man (White garment church man) killed and dismembered his two daughters 6 & 3. The wife managed to escape. As we were talking to him and asking about the children, he threw them down from his third 3rd floor apartment, stone dead. It took 5 hours Police action to get him to the station. The horror i'm facing remembering the story alone makes me want to vomit.

Please, the fanatics among us, lets recognize that we live in an uncertain world and it is better to access your situation based on your perception not the Religious/Political leaders.

You can see that my trite argument over time that the problem of Nigeria is mean, wicked, vision-less and good for nothing leadership, not RELIGION or ETHNICITY. All the marginalization issues leading to violence are caused by these heartless Nigerian leadership.

In the house, we have the most religious and ethnically biased people who lie about their love for us but borrow to increase our debt problem to swell up their account. It takes only a pathologically wicked and insane human being to increase his own Allowance from N7 Million to N10.5 Million per month in a country where over 70 Million are living with N300 per day.

God would grant them (individually) personal generational loan of incurable diseases, strive and suffering unimaginable, ( beyond 10 generations!).

This extremely wicked people deserves worse curses; please help me rain more on them.

I think i like Jimoh Ibrahim and his business philosophy. He is a patriotic Nigerian and i hale him for his efforts. Many other rich Nigerians would rather invest the money (Whatever the source: 419, stealing, drug) abroad where they would get extra privilege. Why did they not report the GENOCIDE in Sierra Leonne, Liberia, Ivory Coast and Rwanda as Christian violence? Millions were killed, but if any of them was a Muslim country, the story would have changed. Have we forgotten that in Rwanda, some Pastors were indicted for committing genocide, but their religion were de-emphasized. People (Kikuyus) were burnt in Churches to death by Christians of another tribe in Kenya, but they were not labelled CHRISTIAN TERRORIST.

This has become so pervasive that people now associate Muslims without Violence without thinking and the Muslims' blood boils in anger to defend their religion. As a Muslim, you are afraid to hold a strong opinion because you don't want to be labelled a fanatic. IF YOU DON'T KNOW, THIS IS GETTING DANGEROUS.

Also, you un-ban the importation of too many items where Nigerians were beginning to gain competence such as Furniture after the OBJ ban.
4.  POWER: I wish you well in your effort, but i should say, no country has ever sold her core Power infrastructure to gain stable power supply.

Thanks for your response. I confess: i am not a lawyer, but i would have appreciated your correction better, if you had quoted what the relevant part of the competition said. I am re-stating my understanding of the position of our constitution in respect of the issues at hand thus:

1. Every Nigerian can vote for anyone no matter where he lives in Nigeria.
2. Once you are born or you pay tax (for an appropriate period specified in the constitution) at a location within Nigeria, you can contest for any elective position.

We are not implementing the second part anywhere in Nigeria. If we want to do it, it must be done simultaneously everywhere.

Ikwerres in PH are Ibos, but no Ibo (SE) can contest for any position in Rivers state, even if he/she is fifth generation.

This discussion is at the heart of the JOS crises. The settlers Hausas who are clear majority in some local governments want to Chair the local governments and if there is a clear cut free and fair election they would always win. The Politicians have injected opium (psychologically) in people's brain enough for them to develop extreme fear of the other party, result? War!

Our law says, anybody who has lived, worked, born and paid tax (for 15 years) is entitled to vote and be voted for in any state of the federation, but we introduce something else. I know a family (Originally Ibo) at AMAFO-ISINGWU that converse in only Yoruba when they come home for Christmas and another (Originally Yoruba) at Aba who Speaks only in Ibo. Obtaining your call logs without a court order is a criminal invasion of privacy. the fact that a third party like the PDP can easily obtain your call logs, position and location data etc without a court order is frankly frightening. Today it's phone logs tomorrow it's the PDP planting wire taps in your house without your permission.

I am not a lawyer but i have the information on the requirement for winning the Presidential Election: A candidate needs to win 25% of all the valid votes cast in 2/3 of all the 36 states and Abuja. In order words you need to score 25% from at least 25 states.

Analysis based on one man one vote :
If GEJ can win all NC, SE and SS states plus 25% in at least 10 states in the SW, NW and NE then he would carry the day. I believe he can, but the reports i am getting from the North is that Buhari's support is near total and he has some die hard supporters in SW. I can not see him getting 10% in any SE and SS states. I cannot see a second round.

Ribadu with anybody as vice would probably win 2 states in SW. I'm sure he would loose his state.

The number of Britons choosing to become Muslims has nearly doubled in the past decade, according to one of the most comprehensive attempts to estimate how many people have embraced Islam.

Following the global spread of violent Islamism, British Muslims have faced more scrutiny, criticism and analysis than any other religious community. Yet, despite the often negative portrayal of Islam, thousands of Britons are adopting the religion every year.

Estimating the number of converts living in Britain has always been difficult because census data does not differentiate between whether a religious person has adopted a new faith or was born into it. Previous estimates have placed the number of Muslim converts in the UK at between 14,000 and 25,000.

But a new study by the inter-faith think-tank Faith Matters suggests the real figure could be as high as 100,000, with as many as 5,000 new conversions nationwide each year.

By using data from the Scottish 2001 census – the only survey to ask respondents what their religion was at birth as well as at the time of the survey – researchers broke down what proportion of Muslim converts there were and then extrapolated the figures for Britain as a whole.

In all they estimated that there were 60,699 converts living in Britain in 2001. With no new census planned until next year, researchers polled mosques in London to try to calculate how many conversions take place a year. The results gave a figure of 1,400 conversions in the capital in the past 12 months which, when extrapolated nationwide, would mean approximately 5,200 people adopting Islam every year. The figures are comparable with studies in Germany and France which found that there were around 4,000 conversions a year.

Fiyaz Mughal, director of Faith Matters, admitted that coming up with a reliable estimate of the number of converts to Islam was notoriously difficult. "This report is the best intellectual 'guestimate' using census numbers, local authority data and polling from mosques," he said. "Either way few people doubt that the number adopting Islam in the UK has risen dramatically in the past 10 years."

Asked why people were converting in such large numbers he replied: "I think there is definitely a relationship between conversions being on the increase and the prominence of Islam in the public domain. People are interested in finding out what Islam is all about and when they do that they go in different directions. Most shrug their shoulders and return to their lives but some will inevitably end up liking what they discover and will convert."

Batool al-Toma, an Irish born convert to Islam of 25 years who works at the Islamic Foundation and runs the New Muslims Project, one of the earliest groups set up specifically to help converts, said she believed the new figures were "a little on the high side".

"My guess would be the real figure is somewhere in between previous estimates, which were too low, and this latest one," she said. "I definitely think there has been a noticeable increase in the number of converts in recent years. The media often tries to pinpoint specifics but the reasons are as varied as the converts themselves."

Inayat Bunglawala, founder of Muslims4UK, which promotes active Muslim engagement in British society, said the figures were "not implausible".

"It would mean that around one in 600 Britons is a convert to the faith," he said. "Islam is a missionary religion and many Muslim organisations and particularly university students' Islamic societies have active outreach programmes designed to remove popular misconceptions about the faith."

The report by Faith Matters also studied the way converts were portrayed by the media and found that while 32 per cent of articles on Islam published since 2001 were linked to terrorism or extremism, the figure jumped to 62 per cent with converts.

Earlier this month, for example, it was reported that two converts to Islam who used the noms de guerre Abu Bakr and Mansoor Ahmed were killed in a CIA drone strike in an area of Pakistan with a strong al-Qa'ida presence.

"Converts who become extremists or terrorists are, of course, a legitimate story," said Mr Mughal. "But my worry is that the saturation of such stories risks equating all Muslim converts with being some sort of problem when the vast majority are not". Catherine Heseltine, a 31-year-old convert to Islam, made history earlier this year when she became the first female convert to be elected the head of a British Muslim organisation – the Muslim Public Affairs Committee. "Among certain sections of society, there is a deep mistrust of converts," she said. "There's a feeling that the one thing worse than a Muslim is a convert because they're perceived as going over the other side. Overall, though, I think conversions arouse more curiosity than hostility."

There were many bands around Ita garawu and Isale Eko in general! If my memory serves me right, there was one Isikabaka in Kwara and off course many others in the whole of the Yoruba nation.
