Please the child shouldn't just answer your surname oooo. 12 years is definitely NOT "of age".

Please go through the legal adoption process. Go to the Ministry of Youth or Family in your state and find out the process. After the adoption is legal, you can do other things.

terryhill:
Please house what is the process to travel or prepare document for adoption with a nephew living with you, is it advicable to adopt her or she just answer your surname even if she is of age! (12 years of age)
Before preparing to relocate to Canada
Please I need response on this.

Congratulations!!!! Been waiting for this announcement.

Canada PR journey took me over 2 and half years. Glad it is now over grin. Wishing everyone all the best ooo. From wrong ECA body to 4 Months NASU strike to verification wahala to multiple heart breaking ielts tests to scary CRS scores to review required by lazy visa officer.

This simply isn't right. The minimum score to enter the pool is 6666.

However, 8777 is what will give an applicant extra points.

Gifty28:
I think it’s because of the Ielts score, not to sure..
minimum scores are L8 R7 W7 S7. Try your eligibility again if you get these scores or higher score.

It's not about being "westernized". Everyone on this forum is an adult. They shouldn't need to be handheld for every small step.

I agree with you that after reading everything on page 1, the person should come back with specific questions, not for general handholding.

SurveyorD:
Aunty, there is no way you would have read every links on page 1 without knowing what to do, page 1 of all the parts contain basic information on migration to Canada.

Most of the people here are westernised in their thinking (DIY), they will not tell you (or mentor you) on anything that can be easily accessed.

1. If the other 6 months is in NOC A, B or 0 and occurred within the last ten years, you can add it. There should be a continuous work period at of at least on year within the 2 yrs 9 mos work experience that she has.

2. You can redo if you add her work experience and points aren't enough, or if the 6 mos experience isn't within A, B or 0, or if you just want to grab extra points.

3. Yes

dCounsel:
Hello house,

Good morning to all. Been a silent reader for some days now. I must confess that I joined Nairaland because of this thread few days ago.

I want to seek an advice from the more experienced please. Myself and my wife have done our ECA already and we have the reports with us. My IELTS results is L8 R6 S7.5 W8. Hers is L8 R9 S8 W7. We both have age on our side. I have about 6 years experience related to my NOC, she has about 2years 9 months related to her NOC while about 6 months not directly related. If I am the PA, our CRS is 422 due to the reading score in IELTS, if she is the PA, the CRS is 461 due to experience not up to 3 years in her NOC. We do not intend to go through the route of PNP. We want to explore EE squarely.

My questions?
1. Can we add the other 6 months experience as part of the 3 years required for her or it has to be strictly related to her NOC?

2. Do we advise that I re do my IELTS and aim for an higher score so that if I am the PA with a better results, our CRS will be around 480 thereabouts?

3. Can I open EP with her as the PA for now then decide to delete it later if we decide to use me as the new PA after my IELTS?

Thank you for your awaited responses.

It won't be frozen if you update with her WES results. Your score should increase according to what her degree(s) are. I think for accompanying spouse its 8 for Bachelor's, 10 for Master's or something. 461 + 8 should put you at a good score. Hopefully.

Enculer2:
Well, the express entry is kind of foggy for me as per the credentials. So if I understand how ot works, our score stays frozen at 461 even if we update with spouse WES certification right?

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by amaya21: 9:36pm On Feb 13, 2020
If it is for regular EE - yes you can use work experience after your Bachelor's and before your MSc as work experience. Assuming it is in an appropriate NOC and within the last ten years.

Be careful if it is for PNP - provinces may have different requirements.

Jbelieve:
Hi if someone has experience before MSC and has no experience after MSC can the 1 or 2 years prior to msc be used to count as foreign experiencehuh Please urgent. Thanks

You can upload her certificate. The fees are paid in a lump sum but for BOTH applicants.

profeddor15:
@amaya21, Thanks for your response to my question. My wife didn't write IELTS neither do ECA just because of the fact that I serve as a principal applicant and i want to know if her credential (certificate of the school attended) need to be uploaded.
On the issue of application fees, i want to know if the payment for spouse is per each spouse or one single payment.
Thanks so much for taking your time to read and respond.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by amaya21: 8:31am On Feb 12, 2020
Yes, you need passport scan for the spouse, medicals, IELTS/ECA if they did theirs, passport photographs, PCC(s) as applicable etc.

profeddor15:
Good morning to my great people, my elders and my senior colleagues in the house.
Please, i need a clear clarification on two important issues.
(1) When uploading your supporting documents as requested by IRCC on the document checklist, apart from the principal applicant, any need to upload spouse document alongside?.
(2) Regarding the payment application fees, right of permanent residence fees, i will want to know the actual payment for the family of 2 (husband and wife only).
Thanks for your kind response

If the job is a past job, you can get the reference letter now. If it is a current job, I'll suggest you wait until you think you are close to getting ITA or just after ITA. The general advice (not IRCC requirement) is that for current jobs, the reference letter date shouldn't be older than six months. Again, it's not a requirement, this is general advice.

Lagoscooldude:
Hi guys,

Good afternoon. I am planning to request for work reference letters in advance even though I am yet to get my certificate evaluated. The aim of this is being proactive.

To my question, does the date on the work reference letter matter?

Quickly register for the next test and take it. The chances of remark changing is low although you can try your luck

Collineno:
I am hurt emotionally.

Please I need your advice on this. My IDP MOD, IELTS result is LRSW - 7, 7, 7.5, 7 and with this result, my CSR score will be 408. However, if I had 8 in listening my CSR score will be 472.

Do you advise I remark listening module? Is there a chance it will change to 8? My birthday is coming up in two months time consequently, I will drop by 5 points.

Please advise I need to get ITA before my birthday...

To claim points for a sibling that is a PR, the sibling MUST be residing in Canada at the time. Paying attention to these small things is important.

Nedu2144:
my two cent tho

His bro is a PR but then he is not residing there....it is not misrepresentation if he should clearly state it that his bros doesn't have accommodation or currently not residing there. ok what if he is actually staying there but still staying with someone? could that be misrepresentation too?
