If the work was in an eligible NOC (A, B and 0) and within the last 10 years, it can be used. You will need a reference letter from the agency where you worked. It will only give you one year though, so you will need to maximize points in other areas, since the rest of your work experience is in NOC C.

But at least one year in the right NOC can allow you to enter the pool while you work on other areas.

Was a government agency. We didn't really do much
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by amaya21: 9:26am On Mar 20, 2021
Do you have previous work experience in any of the other eligible NOCs? What about NYSC - what did you do for NYSC?

BenedictStinson:
Are there other avenues I can explore?

Only if you have previous jobs in NOC A, B or 0 over the last ten years. NOC C is ineligible.

BenedictStinson:
My current job seems to be listed under NOC type C, Will I still be eligible for express entry?

Thanks Mmamaroon!

Mmamaroon:
Just thought to share this, it's not a direct response but kind of related to your question. It is pure conjecture in my part. In the absence of immediate family in Canada on the back of which IRCC would issue an AL, it seems post Mar 18 COPR holders travelling to Canada from the US can do so. Previously, the IRCC website was worded so that it read US resident, but now it just says "travelling from the US". So my guess is for people with a US visa who go from Nigeria to the US, stay for a few weeks then travel to Canada (i.e. not transit), their entry shouldn't be a problem.

This may be an option for a post Mar 18 person with money, a US Visa, somewhere to stay in the US and liver to execute said plan.

My sister travelled recently. She used Medbury in Lekki 48 hours before travel. Results were out the next day. Cost 50k. I'm sure there are more affordable places - this is the one I know of and her results were emailed to her promptly the next day.

Cherrymia:
Please who has travelled from Lagos recently?where did you go for covid test and how much?please I need suggestions. I want to have an idea of the duration so I can do the 72hrs calculation.

Has anyone landed this month (March 2021)? Would be glad to hear your experience - did you have to get AL or you travelled by faith, what airline did you use etc.

Okay not sure about SINP requirements. Maybe someone else can chip in.

OPRI:
I intend to evaluate the ACCA because of the SINP requirement ,which one's education must tally with work experience.I have a science background but working in a financial institution for many years & the MSc is science related.Should I still go ahead?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by amaya21: 7:47am On Mar 13, 2021
If you have an MSc evaluation, the ACCA won't add CRS points for you. Unless you are evaluating for your own personal reasons.

OPRI:
Good Morning House. Please is it only WES that evaluates the ACCA qualification?
Currently I have a pending/ongoing evaluation for MSc but I would also like to evaluate my ACCA transcript.
Kindly advise

Why do you need to get the letters again? Were they addressed specifically to the province? Also were you nominated based on the NOC for those jobs?

Queenmaker:
Hello!
A quick question please.
In my express entry profile, I listed all my work experience, 6 organisations in all. I have an ongoing PNP application. When I get my provincial nomination (by God's Grace), would it be okay for me to remove the oldest 3 work experiences on my express entry profile so I can add it under personal history later ? This would be a huge relief for me because two of those organisations are not in my state of residence, and getting the letters for the PNP was seriously problematic. I'm scared of going through that again.
Anyone with opinion? Please......! Thanks in anticipation.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by amaya21: 9:19pm On Mar 04, 2021
Really sad case. Shows the importance of reading the requirements.

Mmamaroon:
Very sad..... cry

I hope people will read and learn or just read up on IRCC website. If he currently lives in a country, the PCC CANNOT be expired.

But either currently or formerly living in Ukraine.... 2018 though....if it's a few weeks or months VO may have even used his church mind...but 2 year old PCC is ...... shocked......applicants beware.

It's to redo and smash IELTS and re-enter the pool.

Congrats - maybe you can book a date for mid April and hold it. They may still do PNP draws. No one knows.

If PNP draws aren't forthcoming you can postpone the medicals.

joselekas:
Hello seniors,

I received Ontario Provincial Nomination yesterday, 2nd March.

Timeline
NOI: 15th October 2020.
CRS: 464
NOC:2174
Submitted: 14th November 2020
Assessment: 18th January 2021
Decision in Progress: 5th of February, 2021
Approval/Nomination: 2nd of March 2021

I got 600 points in my EE profile. Please, can I book for medicals upfront or wait after ITA? What else can I do now in preparation for ITA. I want to submit a week or 2 after ITA.

Thank you.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by amaya21: 10:57pm On Mar 01, 2021
You will see this after ITA in the personal history section.

MrKong:
Pls at what point or where do you state you have a registered company? I have one, not yet running and I’m already in the EE pool. I didn’t see anywhere to fill this details except something similar in work history (I.e self employed)
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by amaya21: 10:56pm On Mar 01, 2021
Nobody knows when the next draw will be. Rumors are just that - rumors. You can write the hospital to postpone the medicals.

Francieuche:
I heard a rumour that draws will not hold till half of the year ...
My medical is 11th March
I don't know what next??

No. She needs to evaluate HND and OND to get two or more degrees. The highest earned degree is applicable for Masters, PhD, or if someone only has a Bachelors.

HND and OND will give more points than HND alone.

Inikay:
I did WES Evaluation recently, wife should evaluate HND only. There is an explanation on their website that only highest earned degree should be evaluated and other professional certification if any.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by amaya21: 1:39pm On Feb 22, 2021
Yes you need IELTS.

You can use that work experience so far as it was in the last 10 years. You need to get a reference letter from them. People sometimes add bank statements or pay slips if they feel the company isn't well known or to prove that they really worked there. However, this is NOT required by IRCC.

debola33:
Thank you for your response. I have up to 3yrs experience as an Administrative manager tho not all these big or known companies. Second thing is if I need IETLS to qualify to relocate to Canada.

WAEC is not needed for WES (anymore) or Express Entry.

Tinsma:
Good morning everyone,

Please, I am trying to update my WAEC result, may I know if it is okay to leave my secondary School name as institution attended with 6 years full study, OR I would need to fill Private Candidate WAEC and choose part time.

Recent result is for Nov/Dec 2020, I finished secondary School 1999.

I would appreciate your feedback on how to go about it. thank you
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by amaya21: 11:02am On Feb 22, 2021
Have you held any jobs in the past 10 years? There is no rule that you must be currently employed to do Express Entry.

You need a minimum of 1 year work experience to enter the pool. Work experience must be in the past 10 years in NOC A, B or 0 areas. If you have up to 3 years, even better.

debola33:
I have B.A and Masters but currently no Job. What are my chances of relocating to Canada?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by amaya21: 11:00am On Feb 22, 2021
ECAs must be done separately for each person. Husband can evaluate only his MSc. Wife should evaluate both OND and HND to get two or more degrees.

taiwo92:
Good morning all,
Please I need contact of where my wife can have her IELTS classes around Minna,Niger state.
Husband: BSc and almost done with MSc
Wife: just finish serving, she has OND and HND
Considering ECA do we do it separately or it can be done together in one application?
We hope to actualize our Canadian dream soon.
Thanks
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by amaya21: 7:35pm On Feb 18, 2021
The bare minimum to enter the pool is 1 year continuous work experience so you're good. You have the whole 3 years experience sha. Enter the pool if you have your ECA and your IELTS

JUANITAs30:
Hello guys...quick question please.

I worked as an administrative assistant from 02/01/2017 to 31/08/2018 and resigned to due to my MSc. I got a job after my masters as a financial administrator and I have been working since 06/01/2020 to present.

My question: I have 1 yr 8 months from my first job and by Apr I will have 1 yr 4 months from my current job. Can I get in the express entry pool and am I eligible for 3 years work experience? Or do I need to have “whole years” to be eligible?

Thanks

It's not VFS, it's the VO this time. I've been following up with both quite regularly.

Every stage has its own wahala. #CoronaComeAndGo.

Mmamaroon:
They should be more responsive than Lagos VFS though, try calling/emailing to follow up, or maybe it's not VFS delays now but the VOs....na wa!

Every stage of this EE is a battle.....
To pass IELTS, to conquer TEF, school & transcript, hustling of POF, in some cases convincing of spouses....all this is without COVID.

Then COVID came with PPR delays, expiring travel restrictions....

She is really favored sha. London has had my stuff for a month now. To think I thought they'd be fast angry angry angry

Mmamaroon:
Thanks so much for sharing!
Congratulations Queen!!....manage this photo please.

I love PPR gists, always something to learn e.g. London VFS still working with faster turnaround than Lagos VFS even with lockdown!

I will share my PPR gist on this NL by the grace of God...not for culture sake but to play it forward.

Fees are clearly on their site nah. These are small things you can check for yourself.

crownchika:
Please who has applied for WES Evaluation recently? What is the current cost and what is the current exchange rate? Tnx.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by amaya21: 9:42am On Feb 06, 2021
Nope. You list them after ITA when you are asked about your extended family members. Listing them doesn't entitle them to a visa in your own Express Entry application sha. If you are single, you are a family of 1 and you just apply for yourself.

Unaccompanying/accompanying matter usually is reserved for spouses and children.

solomonray:
Good morning please i have a question. I am a single applicant, and i intend adding my family later post ITA. Is there a place Pre ITA where we add family members unaccompanied (e.g mother, siblings)?

Advice below is for if the baby is born after AOR, and not before.

After AOR, before PPR: raise a webform. You will be asked for updated POF, baby's passport, birth certificate, baby's medicals etc.

Birth after PPR/COPR, but not yet in Canada: raise a webform - old PPR/COPR will be cancelled and a new one issued to include the baby. Same documents as above will be required. You don't need to go through the sponsorship route.

It takes time for all this to be processed. This Canada process requires patience.

Ontariopapa:
Good morning guys, please i have a question for the house and would appreciate inputs.
Scenario: Let's assume wife is pregnant as at the time PR application was submitted and it got approved. Passport was sent and received stamped, just few days after passport was received, wife puts to bed. What happens to the child?

Will one of the parents have to wait to take care of the child and then other travels to Canada and then sponsor the child?

Or is there anything IRCC can do to include the baby even after Passport has been stamped and COPR issued?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by amaya21: 8:57am On Jan 29, 2021
Yes. Both primary and secondary applicant should state all work experience in the past 10 years in personal history. No documentation will be required.

LawalDamilola:
Hello, please does a supporting applicant need to state all his work history for the past ten years in the personal activity post ITA

Save the forms to your computer first. Then use Adobe 10 to open from the saved location on your computer. Opening from the web directly won't work

ka59:
Hi all,
Having issues viewing / opening IMM application forms , tried adobe reader but challenge persists.
Is it ok to download IRCC IMM forms from other sources like pdfiller or must they be downloaded only from IRCC website?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by amaya21: 4:38pm On Jan 27, 2021
That update just means medicals have expired - once it changes from "you passed medicals on so so and so date", it's expired.

swizzle:
Ok. Thank you for your response. I have actually not directly asked them about the status of my medicals when I write them. I think I should do this. Also, my profile updated to say that I don't need medicals some months back. I don't know what that information implies...
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by amaya21: 1:41pm On Jan 27, 2021
It's a weird place to be in.

Some people from 2019 have been getting remeds request as an ADR this month. I know others from 2019 who did their proactively (I was also in this boat).

The choice is actually yours. You may decide to just do it and see if it will trigger anything. Or at least write to them via webform. Eventually you will need to do remeds as they can't issue COPR to you with expired medicals.

swizzle:
I have not redone this. I am even thinking if it is necessary to do it. If it is necessary at this point, would they not tell me to do so?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by amaya21: 1:36pm On Jan 27, 2021
Aug 2019 and Nov 2020. I didn't get an email from Q Life either time.
