Most times this is a proof of funds issue - the amount listed in EE is less than the most current requirement by IRCC. I hope you updated for your family size when the most current figures were released?

Depending on the province that nominated you, some are able to transfer your nomination to a new profile. You need to contact them ASAP to find out if this is the case.

bukkyjt:
Good evening house. I got a two mails in my express entry profile this evening. One informing me I have been nominated by a province and the other informing me I am now elegible. Therefore I can't accept the nomination. Please house I don't know what I should do now or who I should send a mail to. Your advice on this would be highly appreciated.

Thank you

You will add passport details for your kids after ITA

tojumi18:
Please how do I add the international passport of my children to my EE profile, I only added my husband and no option for children or do I just mention then as number of dependent.

Go through the last 15 - 20 pages of the thread. Various resources and strategies have been shared.

The bolded is a bit weird though.

Talksub:

You should actually wait. The Nigerian PCC is valid for 3 months from the day you do it (in some cases IRCC will accept up to six months from when it was done but many people don't want to leave that to chance). Medicals expires a year from the day you do it (not when you submit). You don't want to be under pressure because of those dates.

PNP candidates can go ahead sha because IRCC is still doing PNP draws.

ProfessorJim:
Hello house, is it possible to get a police certificate and do medicals before receiving ITA? If it's possible, is it a wise decision in this COVID-19 era.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by amaya21: 1:41pm On May 12, 2020
Even if you add work experience before 2010 to the EE system, remember an actual person will be reviewing the application when you eventually submit. VOs have been known to recalculate points downward if they find something amiss.

Leapp:
Thank you so much . But does it mean EE calculates my work experience from the month they send me the ITA or from the date I put on my job reference letter as the month I did the job?

Also is it necessary to include all the job functions I did before 2010 in my job reference letter?
Does it help in any way to show I have some past work experience before 2010?

Pls your suggestions.

The sibling must be living in Canada. The question specifies "living in Canada". You'll have to provide proof of current residence in Canada.

aamstih:
Hello, I have a sibling with a Canadian PR who is working and living in the US (he has never lived in Canada). Please, what would be the best response to the question below?

-Do you or your spouse or common-law partner (if they will come with you to Canada) have at least one brother or sister living in Canada who is a citizen or permanent resident?
Note: to answer yes, the brother or sister must be:

18 years old or older
related to you or your partner by blood, marriage, common-law partnership or adoption
have a parent in common with you or your partner
A brother or sister is related to you by:

blood (biological)
adoption
marriage (step-brother or step-sister)

Yes or No

You can still apply, however you would only be able to claim just over 1.5 years of experience if you were to get ITA this month (May 2010 to Jan 2012). You can only claim work experience in the last ten years.

Remember that you need at least one FULL year of full time work experience in the last ten years to enter the pool. So you need to hustle to get ITA while you still have at least one full year of work experience that meet the conditions. Another option is to have your spouse (if applicable) be the primary applicant. You need to simulate your CRS scores to see who would be better as the PA.

If you have a registered business with documentation you may also use that as well. However you need a good paper trail to make this work.

Leapp:
Good day everyone,
I have been following the express entry threads and found it very informative.
Pls I need  help with this situation.

I left banking in Jan 2012 after 8 years experience and not gotten another office job.
So I have been out of any paid  job from 2012 to 2020 ,eight years now till present.
Can I still apply for EE ?

Since EE says 10 years back , so from 2020 can I apply with the 2010 to Jan 2012 experience I have?
How will I explain these 8 long years I have not been in paid employment?

Pls need suggestions .
Thanks

Evie123:
Hello everyone, thank you for all you do here. I got BIL today and my AOR is 18 and my profile is saying I have 60days to get it ready. I am just curious, is it not supposed to show 90 days based on the extended time given by IRCC?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by amaya21: 11:57am On May 07, 2020
Nothing to do but wait.

Solidcitizen:
Yeah, they gave me 90 days, but I just want to get it over with
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by amaya21: 9:40pm On May 06, 2020
IRCC is allowing 90 days to do biometrics for now: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/biometrics.html

Solidcitizen:
I got a request for biometrics but the VFS office is closed till further notice according to a notice on their website. Is there anybody in a similar situation?
TravelRe: All TEF Candidates For Canada Immigration, Let's Meet Here! by amaya21: 8:17am On May 06, 2020
Definitely. I know someone who did. However, she put in a lot of work to achieve it. It depends on how motivated a person is and how they can push themselves to achieve their goal.

sweetoma:
Can a person with zero accounting or science background learn and pass CIMA ?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by amaya21: 3:51pm On May 05, 2020
False. You can submit with that result until the day the IELTS expires (although I personally wouldn't cut it that close)

MINTss:
good afternoon all, please i would like to make a confirmation. i was just informed by someone that, one cannot submit an application post ITA if ones IELTS has an expiration of less than 7months. please how true is this as my ielts expires in September.
TravelRe: All TEF Candidates For Canada Immigration, Let's Meet Here! by amaya21: 8:21am On May 05, 2020
The online Masters I'm aware of are above your stated budget. Try CIMA as suggested above.

There are a lot of French resources on the thread. Read through the last 15 - 20 pages at the very least.

sweetoma:
Hello guys, I just entered the express entry pool with CRS of 436, I don’t have masters I’m currrently searching for where I can enroll for a fast 1 year masters whether it is online from a foreign school. Can afford to spend like $5000 to $7000 at most. If you have any suggestions for school whether here and abroad please let me know. I’m also looking at writing TEF to increase my score. The alliance francaise here is closed because of covid so I’m learning with duo lingo please any helpful resources for learning will be appreciated. I was just laid off from my job because of this pandemic so right now this is my focus.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by amaya21: 5:06pm On May 04, 2020
This is a normal email the day after you enter the pool. Nothing to worry about.

winner01:
yes.

You can't just do medicals in any state. See here for approved clinics: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx

donhuko:
Good day everyone,

Please is it possible to do upfront medicals in port Harcourt?
I can’t travel to Lagos or abuja because of the border closure and I have to submit proof of upfront medicals for express entry application.

Please is there anyway around this?

Thanks everyone for your assistance.

You can easily get current costs from the WES website or the website of any other ECA body. Amount in Naira will depend on the bank you're using.

Pegzzyg:
Hi all,
Please, how much is the current cost for WES (Nigerian naira) to evaluate 2 degrees? & which body would you recommend currently to evaluate only Masters degree & how much is the amount in Naira too? Please assist! Thanks.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by amaya21: 12:30pm On Apr 30, 2020
Have you evaluated this diploma with any of the ECA bodies to be sure it is accepted, before updating your profile?

Torchee:
Hello all. I am new here, seeking answers and feeling great as I read all comments. From my application into EE pool(through Federal Skilled workers),I had a score of 422...till I remembered I did a diploma which would move me up to 455...I edited my application and resubmitted. The change hasn't taken effect on my score. Should I be worried?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by amaya21: 2:17pm On Apr 29, 2020
Whether your family accompanies you or not, your POF needs to cover the whole family of 5.

Adebayo82:
Hw possible it is in the future if I want to take my family. I have married, i want to enter express entry pool but POf will be my constraints for family of 5. I decided to enter the pool alone because of little amount I have as POF can only cover me. I'm dilemma, I need somebody to put me through what I can do to succeed with the processing
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by amaya21: 2:14pm On Apr 29, 2020
The answers to ALL these questions have been covered repeatedly on the last 10 to 15 pages of the TEF thread.

Canada2021:
Hello People, With this Covid 19, nobody knows how the next draws will look like. I am interested in writing the TEF exams. I have just one year experience and i am a lawyer. I want to use this french exam to boost my score.

I need the assistance of someone to personally explain the following grey areas;
1) the cost of registration
2) the relevant materials to read
3) the time frame needed to prepare for the exam especially for someone without a french background.

NOTE: I have read through the other thread on TEF but it is not clear. I need a personal explanation.

Thanks and May God protect us all during this perilous time

Just evaluate the OND/HND. PGD doesn't add any points to you in this case.

ActivistSlimfeez:
Hello great people of this forum, i have hnd in accountancy, but i am running a PGD as online course in one of the school in Switzerland. My question is, if i want to evaluate my result, are they going to evaluate my OND, HND and PGD to boost my point. awaiting a sincere response. Thanks
