Unless your spouse's work experience is in Canada, it doesn't add any points to the PA's application. You can leave it blank so that you/your spouse don't have to run around for reference letters or other proof of employment. yinksob002: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Your mother isn't your sibling and therefore you won't get the additional 15 points. See here for more info: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/criteria-comprehensive-ranking-system/grid.html Dude04: |

It is not a problem but ensure you can get a reference (and possibly any other accompanying proof) for any job you list pre-ITA. Don't list anything you can't get documentation for. The reason most people stick with 1 or 2 (if they have up to 3 years in an eligible NOC) is that it's less hassle to deal with documentation for just 1 or 2. Dennyjuff: |

You can enter the pool as soon as your ECA is out and wait for them to resume FSW outland draws to take advantage of any tie breaking rules. ECA is required to enter the pool. You shouldn't get medicals or PCC yet though. Do those from the UK as right now no one is sure when draws will resume and how long before you get ITA with your CRS. Preshyi: |

Another option is to send to Cairo VO through VFS Cairo. You can contact them here for more info: info.caneg@vfshelpline.com The problem would still be payment though - you need to figure out how to pay VFS fees in their currency. When I sent mine, the fees were paid through an international wire transfer from an account in the US. YesLadyN: 3 Likes 3 Shares |

A few people get asked for updated POF or 6 months bank statements after AOR during the course of processing (not many sha, but it does happen). Not to scare anyone but this is why its generally advised to leave the amount of your POF till processing is done. You can change from mutual funds to cash or Naira to USD but the amount should remain above the minimum for your family size. angrybutsane: |

See the bolded...that's what caused your friend's issues. As long as someone has the complete amount during the entire application process (and possibly until landing), they are fine to change between one form of POF and another. IRCC can ask for updated POF at any point in the application process. Only a few get asked at landing and it's usually to see the total amount exceeds their minimum for the family size, not to ask why someone changed from mutual funds to cash or something like that. aduku1: 3 Likes |

I am not 100% sure because I don't personally know anyone who has done this, but if you already have a transit visa or can get one easily, you can try it out. If you don't already have this visa, I don't know what the timing for the visa appointment is like at the US embassy. Depending how much time is left on your COPR that could play a role as well. I did with my family last month and this route fortunately worked for us. However, we already had valid US visas. As Lagbaja88 said, dates for B1/B2 type visas are booked solid for quite a while. Edozie1271: |

You can leave it blank. Many people don't put the spouse's work history pre ITA so that they don't have to run around getting documents to prove it post ITA. After ITA, you can just put his work experience in personal history and no documents will be required to prove anything. Zocken: 3 Likes |

It is possible - she can apply with unaccompanying spouse. However, he must still be listed in her application (although as unaccompanying). Also, she must still get him to do medicals and her POF should cover him and any kids they might have. This applies even if he is unaccompanying. adeniyi3971: |

Certainly not physical cash - I doubt anyone expects you to carry the full amount in cash. We printed a bank statement a few days before the landing, but no one asked us to show POF (I hear they ask some people so if you are landing soon please carry yours just in case). I forgot I took the statement till much later. oyukuwife: 1 Like |

Not sure what details you're looking for so please clarify your question. Our family had valid US visas so we stopped there first, took fresh covid tests and then travelled to Canada with all the usual landing documentation to do the landing. joselekas: 1 Like 1 Share |

Thank you!!! Honestly I couldn't bear the thought of having it expire and then having to wait for IRCC to get around to reopening my file and reissuing the COPR. It was very inconvenient to do the landing at the time I did but it had to be done. GraciousWords: |

Hi, haven't been here much recently. Yes, I used the US route and was able to do my landing I needed to move fast as they only gave me till May 25th despite the fact that my medicals are valid till November 2021. (Yes, I wrote to them about the short time period but they basically told me I'm on my own). So we went through the US to do the landing to avoid expiry of the COPR. seunpinky: 5 Likes |

Who are the "they" that said gift deed is not advisable? Yes its possible to use money market funds and treasury bills but if the source of funds is new (within 6 months) you will still have to explain how you got the funds. Emmy2009: |

You need both to claim points for 2 or more degrees, which is higher than the points for one degree alone. "Highest degree only" is for those with Masters or a PHD, or only a Bsc and nothing else. oniwoski: |

No one knows when the next draw is. Especially for medicals - those last only a year. If you do it too far ahead of ITA, it is very likely that they will have to be redone at some point in the process at your own cost. Since draws aren't regular now except for PNP and CEC, it's best to wait to do medicals nowhere: 1 Like |

You don't need a police report and medical to enter the pool. It is advisable not to do those too far ahead of your ITA. Just do the basics - IELTS and ECA AgreatMan: |
