I booked myself for induction on saturday because i read somewhere in this thread that a first time mum should pass 40 weeks,
Hope i made the right decision?
Am 39weeks 2 days today ooo

teammay na so i wan use kill myself today ooo.i trek for close to 1 hour today,stood for 20minutes at the bank just to induce labour so i can have a birthday mate(30 april).mehn the only place am experiencing labour na for my leg.i cant even stand up.anyway from now on i promise to be team may town crier coz my plans don fail

Hey chim ooo! I just saw a mother complaining about not taking malaria drugs during pregenancy and the replies are scaring me ooo .i never knew i was to take one and my doctor never prescribe it though i did malaria test and it came out negative (no parasite seen)
Pls is it too late to take malaria drugs coz am 37weeks now.teammay help ur teamie ooo!

see me see my mama oooo, she don carry come now. my hubby has been sick for close to three days now with malaria and i have been taking care of him.na so my mama fly come house dey tell am that at this my stage we should be sleeping on the same bed together that his sickness is what igbo people dey call"agwa" that i should carry my bag to another room .

When i was ttc na so i go dey follow dh for back dey waka about dey shout'honey come and do na am ovulating' but fast forward to present,i hardly have time for it.i would wake up Hot then would remember the stress of hanging my leg with my big belle i would just disappear from the room before he wakes up.he has been very understand ing.the one that happened on monday that made me to start partcipating was when he tried bribing me with money for him to do just one round,it really touched me because i realized that i have been very selfish (i still collect money buy easter cloth).i think my libido is okay the only thing i dread is the discomfort that comes with it.

Sabi mama is coartem okay for a pregenant woman that has malaria just 1+

Though evn b4 telling dh I brooched d topic delicately telling her she needed to trt inf considering she spent almost all of 2015 in d villa nd she dey chook knash put directly for d pit toilet Dem get buh she no take am serious guess cos of money which was y I had to tell dh wen I tell am sef him say yes him notice am sef na im make am buy am perf for Xmas I tell am say dis one no b perf matter him com gree, give am money for test com still go tell am wetin I talk only God knw as him tak tell am cos since yesterday she no gree talk to me nd dis is one sis I can say I'm on gud terms wit I already had a misunderstanding wit d eldest daughter which was also caused by dh I dnt understand y he's trying to cause a rift between his sisters n I wen I noticed d lady's mood I confrntd dh he tried denying later he admitted saying he told her for her own good. wow, this is serious.some husbands can unknowingly cause problem for their wives, that was how my husband went and told his sister that we decided that we don't want her in our house again whereas I have never discussed it with him before, you can guess who they blamed for it.my dear you just have to meet her and explain to her that you did it for her own good but I can't just imagine how someone won't notice that they smell bad.

There Is queue @First rivers too but you can go early n doctors re punctual. You can also havepersonal relationship with the gyns they 're good esp Dr Ken & Dr Rufus{My opinion}

The only hospital I didn't have to queue is Premier specialist hospital in ogalade v.I. But they do not have hospital here in ph but that is where I use when am in lag.

do you think they would collect antenatal money even though am almost due.

mama in the house is it possible to change hospital without paying for antenatal, I would want to visit another hospital and am scared they would reject me without antenatal money.
I went to my main hospital today around 9 o'clock with my dh (today wey im gree go) I waited for this doctor till 1 o'clock no show I started imagining what if it was an emergency? there where alot of complaint from people sitting around me waiting, na so I borrow sense commot from there.so I would like to try FIRST RIVERS HOSPITAL tomorrow.abeg who know about them?

Abeg I wan rant as my body dey hot.
I'm using two hospitals. While hospital A gave me castor oil to use by saturday night to induce labour since it'll be last edd given and the baby is big from the last scan done, the hospital B is just waiting for me to fall labour naturally even if it's ten months gone (so as to opt for cs, I suppose).
Today I feel heaviness down there with cramp and watery discharge. As a ftm, don't know what to term it so I went to hospital B which is 15 mins walk to complain and to be checked maybe. Though today is not antenatal but met 3 nurses on duty watching movie. I sat down and told them what i was feeling and if to be checked. They all laughed at me that if I was in labour, I wouldn't be calm and walked to the hospital. Then one of them asked me to follow her so as to check me. Then one of them made a statement rude tone that it was not necessary or the nurse like to be inserting her hand to veejay anyhow.
I felt dirty and embarrassed, stood up in tears and told them not to bother again. The nurse who wanted to attend to me ran after and console me.
I was so mad that I wasn't given attention in my condition. Not because I enjoyed being checked. I did it once and it was painful but wanted them to check so as to know if cervix is opening or use the castor oil.
Some nurses are so mean and callous. They should go for communication and counselling classes

i tot first trimester was the hardest but na lie third trimester is
- up untill now am yet to find the most comfortable position to sleep(sometimes i result to crying whenever i see dh sleeping soundly)
- i am always hungry:if you like give me two plates of pounded yam i will ask for more in an hour time
-i cant trek for long without feeling as if my pelvic wants to fall out.
-what about all the pitiful stares and remarks i do get from all this women in my street,i guess they mean well.
-i have become a shopaholic,buying up baby clothes(i think am preparing for thread cuties )
-what about forgetfulness ,that is the main cause of all the quarell in my house now(i cant believe that i went to th ATM and couldnt remember my password)

my dear ahhh it's quite confusing.I jejely went open baby center page and check the ideal weight, they said it was fine.

my baby weight is 1.6kg at 30 weeks, the doc said he is underweight.pls help with suggestion on how to fatten my baby.thanks

JUST AN ADVISE FROM ME
It is important we LEARN FROM INCIDENTS i.e. what has happened to others so that we don't have a repeat of such cases here.
Especially first time mums! Please learn to trust your doctor. It has a way of making delivery easy for you. Besides, you have never had a baby so when certain options are open to you, ask question and ensure to do whatever will save your life and that of your baby! Let me share my story, I had an uneventful pregnancy; no sickness whatsoever. When I got to 37 weeks, my doctor explained alot to me and asked me if I would like him to help me if I get to 39 weeks and labor does not come on its own. My dear, I had an open mind and I told him do anything that will make me and baby safe and sound. To cut the story short, I was prebooked for induction. I got to 39wks, no labor so I carried myself to the hospital and in 24hrs, I had my baby in my arms ! I really don't know what labor pains were cos i opted for pain relieve (epidural), labor progressed speedily cos I was not stressed and all. The lesson here is this: The longer you stay, the more tension starts to build. Also, remember that the nutrients in your system is also diminishing and as such you baby starts getting distressed. I made up my mind for a CS should anything go wrong. it doesn't matter what means the baby came out thru, what we are interested in is MOTHER ALIVE AND BABY ALIVE ! In my opinion, there is no need to stay longer than 40wks! My friend did and baby was distressed, pooed inside, had to stay in intensive care after birth and all that ! The baby still has respiratory issues now! I tried to talk to her then, she said all her sisters don't give birth till after 40wks bla bla bla. please FIRST TIME MUMS ! From 37wks, your baby is ready to be born! Trust your healthcare providers, they have seen you thru the prgenancy and understands your history better! Imagine someone with a placenta previa, saying she wants to wait till 40wks and attempt a VB that the "placenta has moved"...hmmmmm! Her doctor asked to bring out the baby at 38wks via CS, she ran away from the hospital !!!! FIRST TIME MUMS!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! YOU HAVE NOT GIVEN BIRTH BEFORE! ALWAYS HEED TO THE ADVISE OF YOUR DOCTOR.

This second pregnancy, I will gladly go that route again ! 39wks and no labor, bring out the baby !

@Mitchyy My dear, my SIL carried her Pringles spitting container until her EDD . You that have been through 5months would scale through . For heartburn, I am still battling with it, but all I do is take enough water (and I mean ENOUGH WATER,I can't stress this part enough. I do a bag of pure water in less than 5days) and also reduce spicy food intake.
