My baby has have three convulsions in 24 hours we are at the hospital but the doctors are not acting worried. So scared.

Am always saying it some people belong to mental institutions including my bro inlaw that is always behaving like a mad man.

Mamas plz I have been having this lower breast pain for sometimes now and it can really be painful..my doctor ruled out cancer cause it was the first thing I checked.he gave me pain reliever . am yet to see my menses since I gave birth last year... Plz help with suggestions.

Hy wonderful mama's Goodmorning to you and happy weekend please I don't know if you have experienced this anytime i give my lo peak123 he stools he is 1year 3weeks. I gave him on monday for the first time and it happen i was told to give him flagyl suspension which I did and it stopped only for me to try it again yesterday with pap in the morning for the first time because he only likes to eat rice which he ate, later in the evening he started stooling again please help I don't know if i should continue the flagyl cos it didnt finish. My baby deserves this but I dare not try it. He can go a whole day without eating.

I guess it should be the culprit... He is teething and have lost appetite.

Pls help my baby just passed out this bright green poo what would be the cause my pad don't have any explanation. He is on antibiotics and malaria drugs. Could it be jedi jedi.

you shouldn't be disturbed by it,it equally happens in my house.i guess Ur brother is someone he relate well with.

If you feed your children well, as at and when due, do not hoard food, fruits, foods or snacks from them, they would rarely take food items from anyone, neighbour's inclusive. And I mean children from 3 years upwards

I don't think do. My niece do eat five times a day and have snacks in between but once she is outside she will still like to eat from neighbours plate. I don't know Wether her own is natural because her brothers are well disciplined.

Talking of iron levels, my daughter had same issues at some point.

Now, if you are not actively breastfeeding, you need to give a formula that has high/good iron content.

I noticed most of our "local" formulas don't have enough iron, at a point, I almost regretted why I didn't give similac like I did for my son but I waved it off.

To solve the issue, my doctor asked that I included iron containing foods to her meals. I was advised to increase intake of soybean, liver, egg yolk, crayfish. I was also told to add a spoon of palm oil to her meals. So, I ensured that I also added palm oil to her pap.

3 months after now, she's perfectly ok and no such issues again. Also, look for Reload Multivite. It did a good job for us.

Now, she eats everything so her meals are lot varied.

I think I need to share this to help alot of mama
This week have been a very trying week with my baby in and out of the hospital.so my once active baby started feeling weak and having high temperature and dizzy always gasping for air (I actually thought it was cattarh), he would make a step or two and fall which was on unlike him. I rushed him to the hospital and doctor said I should do some test.
We found out that his blood level was seriously low (6) while normal should be (11 or 12) that means he is anemic.they gave me the normal antibiotics and paracetamol (I would definitely go back there to blast that yeye doctor at first rivers)
I came home and started research and I found out about iron deficiency anemia, you see right from birth my baby has always been a picky eater, he was on breast milk for one year because he out rightly refused all food but started taking pap after his birthday I would give pap and breast milk only in the morning, afternoon and night but I made the mistake of switching to cow milk instead of baby formula.
My mistake are: as a picky eater I shouldn't have switched over to cow milk because cow milk don't have the essential iron in it and I was busy giving him a lot of cow milk instead of baby formula that would have giving him all he wants.

So pleas if you have a picky eater like my d's
1 don't be in a haste to switch to cow milk.

2 introduce iron supplements I after their six months mark to help in blood production.

3 keep trying out new food.i gave up on my baby and was just comfortable with giving him only pap.

Note this is a personal experience and my baby is fine now and supplements. Thanks!!

For Nuttymeal and mixagrain,

Boil a little water,
Dissolve 1 and half tablespoon of any of the 2 (either Nuttymeal or mixagrain) in cold water (like u do when making semo).
While the water is boiling, I add small coconut oil or olive oil and little crayfish to it.
When it's boiled, I pour in the dissolved mixture and stir to avoid lumps.
Cover and cook for another 5 mins.
Serve with baby milk or breastmilk.

I like to make it a bit thick so that by the time I add milk, it doesn't end up so watery cos I mix the milk in water b4 adding to the food.

For veggie beans, I haven't tried it yet. Wanna start when she is 8 months.

Thanks was just confuse with the veggie beans and nutty meal, that means I can use this method for all?

For the mixagrain and Nuttymeal, I make it from home,
put in small food flask and I feed her in the morning at the creche b4 I leave to my office or we take it at nights for dinner
I prefer the texture when it when it is warm and fresh from the pot.
That's how we like it

Well, lemme share how I conquered my own challenge!

After I complained here that my Lo was waking 4-5 times at night and I asked what I could feed him at night to make him sleep better but didn't get a response, I whisked him straight to the pediatrician's cos I was almost losing it.

This is what the Ped said:
"Ma'am babies usually follow an established routine, so if you continue waking up 5 times with him at night, he won't stop. You have two options -: you either keep waking up 5times at night with him indefinitely, or take 3 nights of crying & tough love and get him to change and sleep better tru the night.
Bath & feed him very well say around 10pm, put him in his room, make sure he's ok & safe, then try not to go put on his light & pick him up till 5am. If he whines at the middle of the night, just be sure he's not in any danger or discomfort of any sort but don't pick him up. He should adjust to this new routine within 3days.
Most babies should comfortably sleep through the night from four months so nothing will happen neither will he die of hunger bw 10pm & 5 am. Goodluck".

When I got home that day, I prayed then prepared everything for the task ahead
We used to co-sleep (in the same room...abeg I can't do that one of putting him alone in his own room. Kole work), so i dressed my Lo's bed and moved him to his own bed.
I fed & put him to bed, then as usual he woke up 2hours later around 12 & started whining. I kept quiet & held myself from going to pick him up.
After whining for about 5mins, he slept back and didn't wake again till 3am. I couldn't resist the 3am whining so I picked him up at 3am, fed & changed his diaper (with the lights off, just used the little illumination from my phone). He whined at 4.30am, i ignored him, he slept back and didn't wake again till 6am.
The next day, he didn't wake up till 2am, I ignored him cos I wanted us to gradually get to the 5am mark. He slept back and woke again at 4am, I fed him at that 4am. He didn't wake again till 7am. And we've been at this ever since then.

So he practically goes to bed at 10pm, only wakes up once at night between 3 & 4am, goes back to sleep after about 10-15mins till 7.30am when he finally wakes fully.
God is good!


Abiagirl777, your Lo is still very tender so I don't think this will work yet. Keep managing o, the stage you guys are in now is really not an easy one.

Can this work for a year old child that is use to waking up 5 times and getting what he want pls?

My 1 year old baby always jerk or have seizures whenever he is sleeping as if he is shivering then it stops sometimes his arms and legs twitches but once he is awake he is fine.is it a cause for alarm or will he out grow it??

Ever since I gave birth I have been having red itchy rashes on my hands I always try hard not to scratch it.I have use a lot of anti bacteria cream but nothing,it have even change the color of my hands.some women say its caused by baby hair that if I stop breast feeding it will go,how true is that cause am always itchy. I know how you feel I hard to literally chase my mum out my home after three weeks of CS because of the same thing it experiencing coupled with the fact that my marriage nearly crashed and i was heading to depression because of her but she is still my mum.I paid her her omugwo money and told her to go home. This made me to have the mindset that am in it alone with my husband(who is afraid of housework )
I took the advice of wonderful mamas in this house,did the once I could do and forget the others.
No matter what as far as she is there you will expect help from her even though people are telling you not to,just settle her and zero ur mind that you are alone.god bless

Firstly Its probably a good thing your househelp was uncomfortable about the situation and she came to tell you.

Secondly: before she came to stay with you, who was she staying with and who were those in the house with her especially any other females she may have been sharing a room with. The person might not be much older than her but old enough and sexually exposed enough to be "experimenting" with her through "play".

Is there any "friend's " house she visits frequently? Even if not physically touching her, she may have watched inappropriate things in someones house or even on a phone. So dont rule those options out.

Thirdly: did she admit to doing what the house help claims? Question her properly and you will most likely find out from who and where she learnt to do such from.

Where did you see such behaivour? And did anyone ever do it to you.

Her mother is stern..... no mean anything. Shi.t can still go down even in plane sight. Also being very strict may mean that whenever this started with her, if she initially felt uncomfortable about it she would have been too scared to let her mum know for fear of being reprimanded.

My new house help have been acting strangely since morning after sometime she came to meet me and start telling me how my eight years old niece do touch her breast at night and sometimes try to jump on her body. I was just surprise. I called her into the room and started asking her questions
- the only time she was sexually molested was when she was one year her devil uncle tried to penetrate her (he is still in jail)
-her mum is a no nonsense woman so she was rightly trained
-I don't allow her to watch adult movies in short I watch all my movies in my room.

So am confuse, is it from school or have she been doing it for long.she swears that she has not been molested by anybody and she doesn't know about her uncle.
