The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 10-year-old boy for allegedly strangulating his 10-year-old mate to death during a football match.

The Command’s spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest to newsmen on Sunday.

Hundeyin said the Ejigbo Police Division received the information on Friday at about 6.20 p.m.

He said the father of the deceased reported the case to the police that his son, Israel Ogunleye, 10, was playing football with some boys at Oluwole Street, Powerline in Ejigbo area, where the mother of the boy has her shop located.

According to the PPRO, the father reported that his son had an argument with one of the boys, who is also 10 years old.

He said the report alleged that the 10-year-old suspect held the neck of his son and allegedly strangled him until he died.

“Based on the report, a team of detectives visited the scene and photographed the place and corpse. The corpse was taken to the General Hospital Isolo, where the doctor on duty confirmed him dead.

“The body was transferred to the mortuary for post-mortem examination, and the suspect is in police custody and investigation is in progress,” he said

You cannot count September as one month, considering that you have not yet stayed up to 30days. Or will you count 1-15th october as staying for free?

If you insist that the month starts counting from 16th September when paid, you are saying that as at 16th September, you have stayed there for 30days.
Whereas, it is by 15th october that you clock 30days.

So you start counting for the year in october.

you are confusing yourself,landlords count from the day you paid your rent,that is 15th september to 15 october makes it a month,count it for 12month,but he or she can plead with the lanlord to start from a the 1st of the next month.

Yes he made the right decesion.Don t try to manipulate him by calling him petty. I too have the custody of my 3 kids and that was the best decesion I have ever made.

i commend you for making the decision,it was never the issue,i am just curious as to why single men hardly singlehandedly train their kids,i have seen a lot of cases where they rely on strangers to train the kids they literally fought the mum for

The sad part of this story is that the man would either ship them off to his sisters or get a wicked step mother or lady friends to torture this kids,i wonder why cant a man stay with kids alone without needing a female help,women do it alot when they are force to be single mothers or widows but hardly men.

Hi Nairalanders, I have a very close friend who isn't officially married tho but she got pregnant for her fiancee somewhat early February. She's 24.
However, since the intake she has done 7 scans including the last one she did yesterday, but after 8 months of pregnancy, the result is still showing no signs of foetus
Although she is 8 months pregnant but if she's not telling you directly, it'll be difficult to detect cos she barely have a belly bump.

Shes devastated right now and on the verge of doing something really crazy.

What could be the cause of this? I'm not with the result she did yesterday but I'll snap the one she dis when the pregnancy was 4 months.
