https://thenewkokoro.com/2021/02/06/how-to-make-money-from-processing-of-yam-tuber-into-yam-flour-elubo-and-pounded-yam-flour-iyan/ Stop saying you have no job. Stop walking the streets searching for jobs from people that are less than you in age, idea, opportunities, information, contacts, etc. Start something now. People producing different products around you are not smarter than you, they are just brave and ready for challenges. You are too loaded not to own your own business or company. This is the opportunity you have been waiting for. You can create jobs with yam processing today. You can become an employer of labour with yam processing. Yam is of the Dioscorea genus You can become rich with yam processing. Yam and its products can be a huge money spinner for you today. You can get yam by farming yam. That is by having a yam farm. Yam farming is good as it enables you to maximise profits. If you can’t farm yam or if you don’t have the time or interest, you can buy yam for this business when yam is in season. Yam comes to season around June to August each year. Many sellers flood the market during this time. All you need to do is to buy the yam in excess and at a good rate. You can then process the yam to make yam flour (elubo) and pounded yam flour (Poundo yam). Everyone knows yam can be eaten with palm oil or eggs. Pounded yam can also be made and eaten with any soup and fish or meat. Porridge can also be made with yam. Those are common and can make any dummy money. The processing of yam into yam flour and poundo yam (pounded yam flour) will make any dummy more money than the actual sale of actual yam. Reason is because yam flour and pounded yam flour (poundo yam) can be stored for longer period and you will not be under pressure to sell due to possibility of spoilage. Yam processing is a way to keep yam from spoiling on time. Yam processing into dried state in form of pounded yam flour and yam flour ensures availability of the food all year round, even when yam is not in season. Yam processing is a way to make more money from yam. Chemicals may be added in trace amounts to preserve the food longer. Yam processing also ensures the storage and transport of the food product. I have made a hot video on processing of yam to make yam flour (elubo) already. Check out the video in my playlist. The difference between yam flour and pounded yam flour is that in pounded yam flour the yam is parboiled before processing. Another difference is that the yam is peeled properly. Pounded flour yam is also peeled properly but extra care is given to the pounded yam flour due to the whiteness of the finished product. Yam flour and pounded yam flour do not have much sugar as are obtainable in gari, fufu and other carbohydrate foods. Yam flour and pounded yam flour are recommended for diabetics. Yam flour and pounded yam flour are smooth to eat and easy to swallow. The market for yam flour is large due to the population of the world. The population of the world is said to be increasing at a geometric progression (GP) while food supply is increasing in arithmetic progression (AP). Some individuals and corporate bodies have ventured into yam flour and pounded yam flour processing already but there is still large room space for many more to join in this lucrative food business. Many people who produce this food locally do not do it in a hygienic environment and they also do not package it very well. Some of the drawbacks seen in the production process can be corrected in your own production process and that will mark you for profits and more sales. Yam is the major raw material needed for yam flour and poundo yam flour production. Benue state alone accounts for over 40% of yam produced in Nigeria. Other major yam farmers abound in the South-West and South-South of Nigeria. Nigeria happens to be the major grower or producer of yam tubers all over the world. The implication is that yam will always be available for your processing. Some machines are required for the processing of yam to make it faster. These machines will dry and even grind the yam. Tuber grinding machine, hammer mill, grinder sifter and sealing and packaging machines are also required. These machines can be sourced or produced locally. If you are just starting and don’t have money for the machines, you can rent the machine for use at every point when its needed. Having a machine of your own will nevertheless, increase your profit margin drastically. Marketing of these foods can be done in different ways. You can arrange and export them. You can get a shop of your own in town where you display the product. You can market it to other store owners both big and small. You can let people in your circle of influence know about the product. You can advertise on social media. You can join poundo yam flour and yam flour groups on twitter, LinkedIn, telegram, Facebook, WhatsApp and many more social media outlets. https://thenewkokoro.com/2021/02/06/how-to-make-money-from-processing-of-yam-tuber-into-yam-flour-elubo-and-pounded-yam-flour-iyan/ |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6HRrl3XAa0 The Genetic code translates a set of 3 RNA bases into amino acid. Each codon, a unit of 3 bases represent some amino acid sequence. The genetic code is degenerative. Separate codons can code for the same amino acid. The genetic code is unambiguous. One codon does not code for more than one amino acid. All species share the universal genetic code. Proteins consist of 20 different amino acids in nature. The genetic code has 64 different codons. Many of the 3 letter codons code for same amino acids. Redundancy or degenerate genetic code. Important codons: Start codon is methionine, AUG. Stop codons UAA, UAG, UGA Mnemonic for the stop codons = You Are Annoying. You Go Away and You Are Gone. In all organisms (plants, animals and microorganisms) the genetic material is the DNA which is made up of repeating units of nucleotides. The sequence in which these nucleotides are arranged on the DNA determines the structure and function of the gene. In protein synthesis, the information contained in the gene is transcribed into mRNA by using a complimentary base pair. It should be noted however, that thymine T does not occur in RNA but is replaced with uracil U. For instance, a gene with the following nucleotide sequence CTTAGCTTC after transcription will give a mRNA of the following sequence GAAUCGAAG. After transcription, the mRNA is translated into proteins whose amino acid sequence is determined by the nucleotide sequence on the mRNA. This process therefore involves the translation of the 4-letter language of DNA into 20 letter language (amino acids) of the protein. It has however, been known that it is only likely that at least 3 nucleotides of the DNA were required to code for each amino acid. With this combination therefore, 64 different code words are therefore possible. Series of experiments were then carried out to determine the 3 letter code words for the different amino acids. One of such experiments was carried out by Nirenberg in 1961 by using synthesized nucleotides. The steps involved a. Synthesis of poly ‘U’ nucleotides. b. Addition of 1 amino acid per test tube to make 20 tubes of labelled amino acids. c. Addition of required enzymes to each of the tubes to form protein from the polynucleotide. From this experiment, it was found that only one of the tubes that protein was synthesized and in that tube all the amino acids of the protein are phenyl alanine. Hence, indicating that UUU codes for phenylalanine. Other experiments were then carried out by using different combinations that makes the 64 code words. This has lead to the elucidation of the genetic code for all the amino acids and this codons are represented on the table below. FEATURES OF THE GENETIC CODE The genetic code has the following characteristics: a. There is no punctuation in the reading frame of the triplet codon of a gene. b. The aa code words are identical in all species that have been tested. However, of recent the protein synthesis using mitochondria ribosomes, tRNA and mRNA show a few differences in code words, e. g. AUA code for methionine rather than isoleucine. Similarly, UGA code for tryptophan rather than termination code. c. A given amino acid may have more than one codon. Only methionine (AUG) and tryptophan (UGG) have single codons. Genetic code can therefore, be said to be a set of triplet code words in DNA coding for the amino acids of protein. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V78MDRCETaI Agrochemical sellers are present in many towns, villages and cities. The number of agrochemical stores are on the rise due to increased farming by the populace. Agrochemical stores are strategically located near farms where farmers can easily access them. As farm machines are not easily accessible, some have resorted to the use of agrochemicals to ease their farm work. Weeding with hoe and cutlass can take a while to complete. It can also lead to backache and change of posture with time. Weeding with hoe and cutlass can disfigure individual’s posture. This and many more are reasons why agrochemicals are thriving. Farming can be an interesting venture or business for anyone. In order to clear the land and prepare it for planting, some chemicals are applied to the farm. In other to kill bugs and microbes that attack and affect crops and farm produce, some chemicals are applied directly on the crops or the soil. Some chemicals are applied on the farm to get over diseases that are affecting the crops. The amount of money expended on chemicals cannot be overemphasized. Some chemicals are used during weeding to kill weeds. Even after planting some selective chemicals can be used to deal with only targeted weeds and not the crop plant. The chemicals used to kill weeds are referred to as herbicides. The chemicals used to kill insects that affect plants on the farm are called insecticides. The chemicals used to kill pests are called pesticides. The chemicals used to kill nematodes are called nematicides. The chemicals used to kill molluscs are called molluscicides. The chemicals used to kill rodents are called rodenticides. The chemicals used to kill algae are called algicides or algaecides. Chemicals such as fungicides, bactericides, etcetera are used to remove disease from the farm. Farm diseases are caused by microorganisms. These microorganisms can be prevented from entering the farm via various methods. Quarantine, is one method of disallowing disease from reaching a farm. Another method is not allowing visitors into the farm. People who come to buy farm produce can be asked to stay at designated areas far from the farm, where they can pick up farm produce. Vehicles entering the farm compound should be disinfected before entry. Special clothing should be worn by visitors who must enter the farm area. Chemicals can also be used to preserved farm produce. Chemicals used on the farm have an active ingredient that make them work well. Inorganic fertilizers are also chemicals. Some soil conditioners are also agrochemicals. Soil conditioners are added to soil to keep it in good condition. Most crops require neutral pH for optimum growth. Acidic oils are balanced up by amending with an alkaline compound mostly in solution. Acid solution are added to very alkaline soils to bring the soil pH to neutral. The aim of any agrochemical added to soil or crops is simply to increase agricultural productivity. This increase in agricultural productivity also means an increase in the amount of money in the farmers pocket or bank account. The total and ultimate aim of farming is for the farmer to smile to the bank. Hence, the total and ultimate goal of agrochemical application is for the farmer to smile to the bank. |
JovialJune:This is on front page because DNA issue is a hot topic today. Women should not feel bad because a man who is not their husband did it. A man is involved. It's a very sad and bad trend. |
To drive goats and cattle from your farm, make sure you plant egusi with it. Egusi is poisonous to those animals. What other plant is like egusi that cattle and goats dislike? |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxFqQofWizA In this video I give you powerful hints into wealth creation. The richest men and women are not in school. The wealthiest people did not get their wealth from school or through school. School will enable you live a comfortable life to certain extent but not to the point of building wealth to rank as one of the wealthiest. Don't go to school if your aim is just to get rich and wealthy. reason is because schools don't teach about money. To learn about money and wealth you need to look outside school. School teachers and lecturers are poor because they stayed in school far too long. Look outside of school if wealth is your aim. School curriculum is so loaded that they do not have time for talking about wealth building. |

Do you know you can make cool cash from the buying and selling of palm oil? Its usually cheap around march to April and gets expensive from September to January. December especially. To make profit from palm oil business, buy when its cheapest and sell when its most expensive. All that is within the space of 8 months. Palm oil is called 'epo pupa' in Yoruba and called 'manja' in Hausa Language. It has a long history of origin and health benefits. Palm oil makes up nearly 60% of edible oils consumed globally. The global vegetable oil market is worth many many dollars per annum . Although West Africa lies within the center of the world’s feather palm belt, it produces but 5 percent of the vegetable oil consumed worldwide. Malaysia and Indonesia became the dominant powers in vegetable oil production and presently supply quite 70 percent of the vegetable oil consumed worldwide. Yam flour or Elubo in Yoruba language is a popular and somewhat expensive food in South Western Nigeria. How can it be cheaper and better? That s exactly what I have shown in this video. Yam can be bought when in season and at a good market price for hard earned money. The yam is peeled first. Its is sliced or not sliced and soaked in warm water over night. The yam is washed with clean water and spread out to dry under sunlight. The dried yam is then ground using a shredding or grinding machine that transforms it into powder. The ground yam is then preserved in the form of yam flour. The drying and other initial processes and those that follow in the preparation are shown and explained here. Enjoy!
