I think so. It should be fine the validity is less than 6 months

Can one use a passport with just 8 months validity for US visa. I know it’s known that a persons passport has to be 2 years to apply for F1 US visa, however i cannot renew my passport if it isn’t within 6 months of expiration. My date has been set. Hi guys please help. I was suppose to go for my fall start date but I couldn’t meet up due to no availability of dates for visa interviews even getting late dates in emergency. Now I moved it to spring and I am seeing dates of February. And it’s too early to request emergency interview. Are there particular times in the day I can check for closer dates or are there anyone giving out their dates maybe they want to cancel? Or any other help will be appreciated. Thanks

If you still haven’t gotten a reply please inquire about deferring so you don’t lose the admission totally. You can only defer before the start of classes

You can reapply but I suggest you review how to apply for an ea of YouTube. You only get 2 trials in 6 months.

I applied for an EA since 2weeks ago to Abuja and finally got approved. But the next available date for any interview was end of August and my school classes start on that date. Now I have to defer. Heartbroken but God knows best.

Yes, you can do an emergency request as long as you’ve not been denied in the space of 6 months. Attach the necessary documents (I-20 & SEVIS Receipt) with a strong justification in your request. Then follow up at intervals (email/call).

This is the issue, I have only applied and requested for emergency once on the 28th of June. Now I want to switch to Abuja but I get that message on the portal. For the gurus how do I proceed? Can I still cancel and still be able to apply with the same MRV for Abuja? And will I still get opportunity for emergency appointment again.

you can use the payment only twice, so if you cancel you can use it again to apply for abuja as well as an emergency for abuja. hope that helps

Please is Lagos giving out emergency appointments or just Abuja. If just Abuja is it possible to switch between both places to reschedule?

Not yet. But certain they will.

You will get an email from them. But know this: two things are involved. It's either they approve you or they deny you.

Send them a reminder. If u have done so of recent don't do again, and pray for a positive response from them.

Hopefully, we will all be approved.
