uboma:Oh no, my neighbor was well prepared for it. The man is a lover of dogs. He even got the dog a kennel. He made sure the dog fed well and had his bath regularly. The only thing he didn't do was to buy the dog clothes to wear. If the dog stayed a little longer, I have no doubts in my mind that my brother in law would have gone out of his way to buy the dog clothes and I mean it. The dog's arrival into our lives changed things very fast! My brother in law adopted the dog instantly. He brought bones from his office every working day with the instruction that one bowl of bones be microwaved and the other stored in the freezer for the next morning. The dog that couldn't bark when it first came, suddenly started barking every morning! And they named the dog an unusual name that made me to start wishing for the eviction of that dog. The dog destroyed flowers and slippers in the short time it spent with us. It got more attention than anyone else jare. Before anyone leaves in the morning, the person will first call out the pup's name. When you return, you must rub the head and call his name again! Once you sight anyone or they sight you in the compound, the first question you hear is, "Has the dog eaten today " When you serve yourself food, you're thinking, this bone should be for the dog as if bones has no nutritional value for humans ![]() The part that vexes me the most is, when the kids take their tea to the dog! Ah!!!! It is finished! The dog just became part of the family like that! I don't see dogs as humans best friend at all. At least, for me o, I can't give them a chance to be friends with me. They'll bite me and call it play. |
uboma:I am well, Ubims I hope you are too.Mmmh... You and Cindy ![]() Well, everyone knows I can't stand dogs. Some months ago, my neighbor brought home one very little cute puppy. He fed it with cereal but the puppy preferred meals of bones. It didn't take the puppy more than 6 weeks before the cute faced puppy grew out of cuteness and started acting like a 'bingo'. The dog's face changed so fast to that of a bull... Lol and the dog's kind of play is to be licking people's bodies. That's one na rough play na. I can say this today because I'm relieved ![]() The dog is gone. Not everyone was in support of the dog's presence in the compound so I am happy because nothing follows me behind when I walk around the compound. I don't have to be conscious of anything. Dogs shouldn't be domesticated in my opinion. But you have Cindy and not a dog ![]() You've got company. My joining will mess up companionship ![]() |
Ubims! What's going on here ![]() You bought this kind of scary looking dog? *teary eyes* This puppy will grow up to be sth else o! You read about a dog that killed a little girl right? I dunno o but this puppy is not smiling. |
Happy birthday Souljaboi1 ![]() I celebrate your new age. In such short space of time, you came in and left an impression on us here. You're celebrated! On this beautiful day, I wish you the best of this new age. May your days be glamorous and your life, beautiful! Keep awa cake ![]() |
joseph1832:Lol. Joe are you still in the community? Our love exists in e-form ![]() |
Boltmeister:You're welcome. Oh! Okay, honour it. You stand to lose nothing. |
Humility017:If you're not happy with the pay, resign. You can't afford to be taking their peanuts or crumbs and not deliver quality service. Nature has a way of rewarding passionate service. Don't ruin your chance of getting such reward. It's better to resign than give poor service. That's my policy. |
I'm not sure they do but you can be sure if you go through previous years Union Bank Recruitment threads here on NL. It's that easy. Do a check. |
Tidamsel:Lol. I'm just seeing this now hon. What ladies like doing ![]() I lived in the hostel for many years as an underG. I can't think of a common activity to us all sincerely. I like my sleep, I had a roommate who loved her movies, another music, one cooking, one other one, reading. Just like that. Different strokes ![]() |
Souljaboi1:
I don't quite agree with the OP though. But if that rocks his boat, cool!Everyone who desires to marry, will.

Babacele:You're right. Fiction writing more often than not are real life happenings, twisted in a way as to shade the identity of the individuals in the story. Events don overtake our project ...lols. I heared your Period holiday policy is already being adopted somewhere....if I remember the name I ll tell you.Wow! Lovely!!! I hope it's in Nigeria or closer to Nigeria. Such good news! I'm happy to hear .Please remember and tell me. What do you think about the numbers of hours mothers spend away from home and how it affects grooming and the society? Was gisting with an old man and he said the more mothers stay away from home their natural office, the more society would build prisons and rehab centres....so if person wife na banker nko with a bigger salary needed by the family and the husband na factory worker earning small money?I hate to admit that the old man spoke wisely. But balance is key. And when it comes to raising children, it isn't tied to a single parent only - the mum. Growing up, I had my dad around more than my mum. If a female banker marries a businessman who runs his own enterprise, then I think to a large extent, they are headed in the right direction if they understand their collective responsibility well enough. A banker can marry a lecturer (I pray for this earnestly ). In this case too, you see balance especially in time management. Let me state clearly also that there are teachers married to stay at home mums who do not give attention to their children. They are many! Very many. So I think it's a personal thing and has very little to do with one's profession. I can give examples, real life instances, but I'll stop here.Men who are fathers should be present also, physically and emotionally in the upbringing of their children. My dad attended all my PTA meetings in Primary and Secondary school. He did my laundry until I finished SSCE. It's no biggie. When I call him my model , I make no mistakes. And there are still such men today. Though sadly, very few. |
