Xzbit91:Lol. You can't pay me cos I'm giving it to you FREE of charge! ![]() How about that? |
Tidamsel:You mentioned me elsewhere? Hope you didn't just mention 'Amicable' without the 09, if you don't put the two together, I won't see it. Like I have not seen the mention. Edit that post there on the romance thread and mention me well. Happy Sunday |
Tidamsel:Huhn huhn.... ![]() I'm so touched! That's a very lovely thing to say. I miss you as well, more than you know. When do we play catch up? ![]() |
Xzbit91:Hahahaha. Offers for Sale! ![]() Which would you prefer? ![]() I don't want to be selfish. You can have the other two ![]() |
Babacele:Lol. Good morning Babacele ![]() This one is fiction abi? I'll follow and read later. Happy Sunday |
press005:I'm sorry my head is so full that I don't even know how to reply you. Carry out a poll if you may. You'll be amazed at the result you'll get here. On antonyms and synonyms, well, because you have no prior knowledge of the words that'll be asked, that's why you think it is difficult. In actual sense, it isn't as long as the words are familiar. |
Ademolu2002:What about it? |
Tidamsel:Oh my sweetheart! ![]() I've missed you
Tell me, how's everything with you? |
press005:Pele. People have gotten jobs through this process without two heads. Tell yourself, you can as well. Positivity in the midst of the frustration will go a long way. They make you send ur CV bt also mandates you to fill some boxes .After about 30mins, you will realize you have repeated all the details on your CV.What are you trying to say in this part? I don't understand the boxes you make reference to. Is it psychometric tests? A job that is meant for graduate trainees will still be asking you of 3-5yrs experience. ![]() If they ask for 3-5 years experience, then it's not graduate trainee. Move to the next. After spending 6 or 7yrs in school plus ASUU strike, some job adverts will require you not to be above 25yrs and must have completed your Nysc.Well, this happens. Still there are some for 26 and 27 year olds. Take advantage of those. The one that baffles me the most is that a firm that advertised for an engineering graduate trainee position will invite candidates for a Job test and the next thing, they will give you a CBT on Antonyms and Synonyms as if say na English Language you study for school.Ehen! This part, you did Use Of English in Uni na despite the fact that you were an Engineering student. Antonyms and Synonyms is something we've been doing since primary school. Don't make it look like Nigerian graduates don't know opposites and nearest/similar in meaning. When you start working, you'll communicate in English therefore I think the test of English is in order. Engine guys have no complain at all . In all, like you said, keep pushing. Keep practicing as well. |
Boujurz:Young man! Young man! Young man! How many times did I call you? This is not how to do things. Type this stuff and print it on an A4 paper then paste it on an electric pole. We'll apply within! |
yorex2011:Lol. Thanks. I see that smile ![]() You're gunning for 30 now o
Soon you'll get to that age where it is said that life begins at ![]() |
yorex2011:Lol. I should be the emotional one here jare ![]() Hope you had a good time yesterday though? I'm still trying to recover from the rain that beat me mercilessly last night myself. |
Oh my world! Yorex it was your birthday yesterday ?I missed it and it hurts me now. How did that even happen? I'm terribly sorry for coming late, I was out till 10:30PM last night in the rain. I dozed off like a log of wood the moment I got home. Forgive me. Can I still have a piece of cake please? ![]() I know you'll oblige me, you're such a great guy and a wonderful friend. You've helped in too many ways that I don't know how I'll ever fully repay you. Know this, when the autobiography of my life will be written, you'll have more than a paragraph . You're too kind to be human. In fact, I'm going to dedicate an update to all of my e-friends in my e-book of life soonest (I should do that). In this new age, I ask that the forces of nature work in your favor. May your dreams and aspirations come true. May your rise to the top be swift. And may lasting peace be yours for enjoyment! Happy belated birthday, Yorex2011! |
Babacele:Lol. You have started this your parable mode of communication . But I understand perfectly. I will do as you have commanded. Knowing that your wish is my command. |
Babacele:Oh no! The bolded!!!! How did you go there? That very place *lips sealed* I can't talk no more. |
Mujtahida:Lol. I just know ![]() |
Social media ehn! The kind wahala e dey cause too much. I can bet my last 5 naira that this OP doesn't know this lady whose picture he's uploaded here for jokes. OP, now that your mission of bringing the NL true ngeneukwuewu to this thread and also pulling traffic here, can you take down this poor lady's picture ![]() Abuse of DP! |
Mujtahida:You got the pass! Actually, when you mentioned Russia, my mind went to Mavrodi. With what you've just done, you've wet my appetite and I'll look for these books as soon as I submit this post. Recently, in the last two weeks I should stress, I have been reading a lot of management books by American authors. I have been combining it with 'The Richest Man in Babylon' by George Clason and so far I've enjoyed myself with the company of books. I still have a little free time I can use for Tolstoy, I must have a feel of his work this weekend or next week at most. I see you both share the same date of birth , that's Providence at work right? I attribute it to that. Does that make you feel special sometimes? ![]() |
Babacele:Lol. *Speaks in vernacular* Agaracha must come back ![]() When you drop the call, I'll still be right here waiting. |
Mujtahida:I smile at your level of maturity BUT I frown cos' I don't want to talk with you again unless you offer to send me a book you've read. Then and only then, will we be on the same page. You've got a great appetite by the way. Russians are bad! Bad in a good way if you know what I mean. |
Babacele:Lol ![]() How do you do this? ![]() Making me laugh so hard this morning. Thanks jare. Abati was right about this publicly organized prayers currently going on in all quarters . The prayer has become a thing of competition and money making venture ![]() Please carry me along. I have been praying for free all this while, it's time to think business like you. Your business sense is sharp ![]() Ayam very very much interested ![]() Were you around Chinese embassy for real? I was at Adeola Odeku on Saturday. I walked past there too. That place is always too busy in the mornings of weekdays. People really want to leave this country o |
Mujtahida:I would have ignored this mention but I realized it will be absolutely wrong not to let you know that your last statement to me in your first mention was insulting and a slap to my face. It just isn't about Abati as you would have quietly sang his criticism without quoting me and I would not have seen it and not bothered too except in cases where I feel I should disagree with a comment. But when you said you wonder how deep my readings are, I began to wonder how highly you think of yourself and your reading. We are what we read. I have no clue as to what makes up your library, neither do you have any as to mine. Every writer has his audience. Fortunately, Abati has me! There's no going back on that stand. I'm loyal like that. Next time when you are tempted to come after me like this, ask yourself, 'have I ever offered this lady one of my DEEP collections?'. Until you do, don't question what I read. Thanks. |
Mujtahida:Lol. Brother, cool your temper! A little background check on me here on NL would have helped save you this misjudgment and frown lines I see on your virtual forehead. This isn't his first work I'm coming across and if you had done your homework well, you would have noticed that on almost all of the threads created about him, I made this similar comment. He writes well and only those who appreciate good writing can attest to that. It's not up for debate as I don't know what you read yourself. This particular write-up is simple and fraught with no problem. He's only shared a story/telephone conversation as it's obvious, he had with a friend after his last article that raised so much dust (All his writings has same effect anyway). It's easy to see. You don't need to jump into a well to check for depth or height. So stop hating and appreciate the man's writing skill. |
TRADEMARK:Kindred spirits! There we have it! He's a University of Ilorin Alumni? I'm just knowing this. |
ThatIgboBoy:You've made my search for him easier ![]() Thank you very much. I now look forward to his Friday and Sunday publications. I'm grateful for this useful post/mention ![]() |
Babacele:Oh! That works perfectly fine. I have him to look forward to whenever I see 'The Guardian'. You've been seeing him more frequently here while I only started knowing him on e-space. Times and seasons really are different for everyone ![]() His thought could be so deep that each of his various readers felt a sense of being addressed and understood by a single article or essay. And that is the emotional attachment your guy tampered with when he chose to defend the nest of killers we had co-condemned in his previous thought provoking literary arsenals.Deep thoughts! Deep, deep. And I think that's why I love writers. Good writers give readers a sense of ownership as well as discretion to understand however they choose to. Abati is one. You can Google all about him and try to connect with him either through his mail or any of social media portal.I should do this. I really should. Thanks for suggesting it. Pele, fruits ,deep breathing, hot baths and tea and playing your favorite set of songs, a nap or deep sleep as well as a massage therapy , singly or in combinations conquer stress. But what works best for you ?Lol. This part got me laughing. Actually, sleep does it for me. After resting through the night, I feel better this morning and ready to take on the activities of today. It's going to be a long day sha but I should be fine. Good morning. |
Babacele:Oh wow! I must have been a kid in days of yore when he wrote in the Guardian. It breaks my heart now knowing that I missed such crucial part of his writing career when it was unadulterated. I've always sensed that there must be more to his skill than meet the eye. His writing is deep and only deep readers can draw from his depth. Oh my Reuben! Organize a writing workshop and I'll be the first to grace the seminar. If he still writes for the Guardian newspaper, I'll love to know. Somehow, for a very long time, I haven't done prints sha. On a jolly mood , I dey fine o. Stressed out a little but fine. How about you? How you dey? |
Babacele:Lol. Babacele, if you know RMD personally abeg tell me make I PM you sharp sharp! As for my Reuben, I am his secret admirer for life. He has a vast amount of words and his writing is always on point. You'll think he's a youth without his picture attached, that's why I love his writing language/style. |
Lol. I love this Reuben Abati with all that's in me ![]() Crazy guy like me We have a lot in common. |
One day, I'll create a thread to specially thank Oga Seun for this platform cos through NL, I've met hot brains and amazing friends who have got my back. One of such guys is oga MOD. Oga MOD who volunteered to be my guarantor even before job come (Enthusiast!)A friend who is quick to help out. Always willing to go the distance for a craze girl like me. Dave you are good.
