Oh Wow! I love it here. Let me register my presence first before any other thing ![]() Who knows ![]() Anything can happen This Lane looks inviting already ![]() Nice thread, Marxxx. Carry on! |
ksstroud:Lol. Pix ![]() I don't do pishures ![]() So all these display of colors on top one reply like this na to show swag abi? I am very jealous now. Teach me color codes please. Let me know it like the back of my palm. Honestly about Jaz, she's too engrossed in school work now. For optimum performance, she took some time off NL. However, she'll be more than happy to receive a mail from you saying you miss her . I need that type of mail sef ![]() I like what I see you do with those Vacancies. More openings for your daily upload, I pray ![]() Hope your day was good? |
ksstroud:Lol I feed myself by myself now ;P. I haf grow big ![]() I'll ensure that I hear your voice this weekend on my part. Ah! My daughter? You flashed those crisp naira notes in her face and took her away from me! You ought to produce her o. Oh boy, now I realize how much I miss her. Poor mama me! Let me go and bring what I'll use to lure her back into my arms ![]() Good morning Kss. Er... You now work in a recruitment coy? I've been meaning to ask. |
ksstroud:You call at the wrong time ![]() Although sometimes I intentionally put it off when I need to concentrate on getting stuff done. You don't take ladies calls na ![]() I would've initiated the process ![]() |

Babacele:Hahahaha. RMD Special! ![]() I hope you are coming with spoons and ice water? Otherwise, change seat ![]() Good morning Sir. Hope the going is good? |
Kinyor:Lol. I won't be surprised at all when I hear such theories. I'm so expecting them. It's the singular reason why life expectancy of people in Africa, particularly Nigerians have dropped. We now have foreign diseases. Every single food we eat is now processed! Gone are the days people roasted and boiled corn for dinner. Today, we've substituted that rich snack for Kellogg's corn flakes. We no longer eat our local ofada and Abakiliki rice. We prefer rice crispy! Rather than enjoy natural food as it comes, straight outta the soil, we now want it refined and packaged in tins for our destruction. China garri is next. They should send us China Salt and groundnuts so we can have a complete meal. That thing we dey find for shokoto dey with us here for Sokoto. We better open our eyes and enjoy it. |
debbie:Well done ma, this is more than an act of sacrifice. You are doing a great service. May your data never run out and your bank account stay fat. Emmaesty, this opportunity will be perfect for you. Key in! Best wishes. |
I saw this news this morning and somehow, I'm not disappointed yet. I'm not upset at all. I'm actually cool like that. BUT!... I will know that Nigeria's madness has passed grade 1 if, any Nigerian buys this product and recommends it to others. OR!... If NAFDAC gives their approval because like I read, it hasn't been approved yet. Then, like Wole Soyinka, I know what I'll do with my National ID card ![]() I'm watching and waiting for Nigerians. |
DonOms:Gaara101, I'm sorry honestly but I don't mean to hurt you guys at all, it's just me and this lefty thing . It has nothing to do with the individuals.Don, thing is, it has nothing to do with the individual (child) when he's less than 3. In your own case, they tried to stop you late and that's why you had difficulty switching. I've once taught nursery and primary school kids. I had a kid who wrote the way you did at that time because he had eye problems. His parents didn't know. He wrote 9 as P. In Primary 3 when I was his class teacher, he had not learned to read because of his eyes. Another kid, basic 1, same challenge, lefty. I took my time with him and achieved success . Once a child passes 7, I have a philosophy I operate with, I let him be. There's so little one can do with them. They've been moulded completely.Well, until I am sure that they are not being discriminated against when it comes to employment, I'll still work on helping the child be flexible. It's the future I'm looking at. |
Principe:Lol. I'm nice o but when it comes to correcting, I'm firm. All my siblings have one child each that's lefty. Only my eldest nephew was taught to use both hands and he's super smart. I don't know but it is just my sentimental value of this stuff and the way my dad made us to see it. It's not bad o but if it will disqualify one's chances of fortune in life, abeg, it should be corrected. A child who will use both sides of his brain, will . Those of us using one are doing exploits with it like that ![]() It will take a lot of "looking away" for me to be with a child who is left handed and leave him be. Except in the cases of my other nephews, they've grown past 5. I've learned to accept it like that for them. |
DonOms:Exactly. Because it is possible to correct it that's why it should be corrected. A blind child is taught to read in Braille, the parents might as well not bother about giving the kid an education and seeing to it that he learns to read and write because it's a disability. If it can be corrected, then it should. And you're willing to do it at the detriment of your child's feelings too. Please, it's the 21st century, left-handedness isn't a curse and I'm sure that post about majority of the last 7 US presidents being lefties is enough proof. No, not at the detriment of his feelings at all. I've helped to raise a few kids and I know how the lefty thing starts, it's like sucking one's fingers, children love to engage in that but because it makes the child sleep for long hours or it stops the child from crying, many parents encourage it. Of course after 9 - 12 months, they start forcing the child to stop overnight. Habits, permit me to add lefty to it, easily formed but most difficult to break. It's better for a child to grow to use both hands rather than just his left. Don't shoot me. My sentiment though. |
kaboninc:Are you trying to start a war? You don snub me finish? |
praxs:Lol. Oga, I'm the worst person on NL you want to misunderstand because you won't like the result .Respect my sarcastic opinion and go with your Dutch CV. I run no Dutch company but if I ever see your CV (5 page text book), I will not tell you what I'll do with it. It's better imagined than said. P.S: Take a break, sit alone and watch TV commercials. Pay particular attention to 'Bam Bam lala'. |
joseph1832ng:Lol. I'm right-handed too. I admire lefty guys and tried to learn it but like the elders say, "they don't learn how to use left hand at old age" ![]() I can only eat with left. |
karleone:Oh! I get it now. You have to use your left. You just have to unlike maybe most of the others. I know some lefty children who could have been right-handed but no one corrected them early. Yours is by far understandable. |
joseph1832ng:No! No! No! No! Connection is not everything. Connection can fail. It has been failing since the days of Methuselah sef. Talent, they say, is never enough. Connection, I say, can never be enough. An intelligent man doesn't rely on connection alone. Believe you me. He's too intelligent to know that who you know only helps when you're knocking on doors, when the doors open, what comes out from your mouth had better be sense making. |
karleone:Lol. Karl, you are in the lefty gang, huh? ![]() My dad likes to say it is a disability , I see it the same way too. He stopped one of my brothers from mastering and growing with it cos according to him, some companies don't employ left handed guys. I don't know if there are still companies like that now though.I will correct my child if any of them show signs of this handicap early in life . I'll rather they learn to use both than make the right hand completely incapacitated ![]() |
joseph1832ng:I totally disagree! I have seen connection fail time and time again. In fact, I spent a considerable time after church service today discussing with a friend in church who is out of job. Her parents are very influential. She studied abroad and has a master's degree but she couldn't keep a job. Connection is like a beautiful face on a woman. It will fetch you suitors and may even get you a marriage partner but won't guarantee you a lasting marriage that is successful. |
Lol. OP, sincerely this CV of yours is I'm looking at it, the information contained, the font size, the plenty description of already stated skills and I'm wondering what you say when you go for interviews that is not on your CV. It's not as if when you appear before an interviewer you 'read' the CV out to their hearing. In my opinion, this CV no win am. You have a heading called 'Position Applied For' or something of that sort. Please strike that out. It should be the subject of the email when sending out your CV (job application). Others have mentioned some things too, please make the necessary changes and if you can, those skills need not be explained in detail like that. HR guys aren't zombies. I think your font size is too small. I may be wrong. I may be right. Good luck! |
kaboninc:Lol. I'm sorry but it's never intentional neither has it been deliberately done. This month is trying to turn me into something else, you'll not understand. I can't begin to tell you now. However, if you mention me once and I miss it, mention me again. It may just be an oversight on my part. Jaz is good. Thanks for asking. I'll let her know you asked after her. |
Adesiji77:Very very inspiring. Her dad is doing a great job at reinforcing the little things she does and magnifying them in her eyes. Even to the point of making her think that's how the world outside is. I support his move ![]() You have any kids yet, Mr. Adesiji? |
eezeribe:Really!? Take this charcoal and brush your teeth properly. Get key soap and water to rinse your mouth. You have just finished yourself by yourself! #Wasted |
ritababe:Goodness gracious! Did you read the letter at all? Or even try to make sense of what the OP spelt out? A kid who had a car accident which resulted in loss of her confidence is elated to receive a response from the CEO of Google himself! Do you know how long some graduates in Nigeria wait before they receive an acknowledgement for their job applications? Sometimes till eternity. Don't call any child desperate again, I beg. Imagine if she gets to read through this thread. Nicely edit your post ejo. |
