CelebritiesMercy Aigbe Gentry's Husband Never Trusted Her From The Beginning (details) by AmicableEd(op): 9:14am On Apr 29, 2017
arlier today, news broke out that actress Mercy Aigbe's marriage had crashed due to domestic abuse from her husband, Asiwaju Lanre Gentry.

Mercy had made an Instagram post advising women to “say no to domestic violence”, and her husband subtly replied with a post of his own, saying, “say no to promiscuous n irresponsible women”.

We reached out and a close source who chose to remain anonymous revealed some new details to Kemi Filani Blog. According to the source, Mercy Aigbe's husband always had trust issues with her.

Read the exclusive revelation to Kemi Filani Blog.

"...I am not in the position to say but it has been a long time coming, Asiwaju doesn't trust Mercy cos her movement is always suspicious. They always fight over allegations but it has never been this bad and sometimes he punishes her by not letting her leave the house, that is why she couldn't attend this year's AMVCA, they had a fight around that period. Twice now she has had miscarriages from being beaten by him.....this one just got really really bad but that doesn't mean they have parted ways."

When asked why Mr Gentry doesn't trust his wife, the source said:

"He gets calls from peeps, friends who give him updates on her movements. She can tell him she is at so so place and at the end of the day, he will find out that she is somewhere else....it goes on and on like that....."

When asked if actress Opemititi aka 'Queen Stunner' had a role to play in the crash, the close source said thus:

"I know she is very close to Asiwaju...I don't have much details on that but things have grown cold between her and Mercy, they were once very close, she frequently visited Mercy's boutique at Ogba and her home and when Mercy travels out, she is available to monitor things but things are not same between them anymore. So maybe, may be not I can't say if she is having an affair with Asiwaju but she is closer to him than to mercy now, they avoid each other sort of"

CelebritiesOlajumoke Orisaguna Helps Old Woman Whose Home Is About To Be Demolished (photos by AmicableEd(op): 9:02am On Apr 27, 2017
Earlier this month, we brought you the emotional and heartbreaking video of an Old Woman, Emily Oyedele, whose tear jerking reaction to the demolition of her house, went viral.

Former Bread Seller turn super star, Olajumoke Orisaguna have now reached out to her and sorted her out. Talking about the good act, Olajumoke said

"My team found mama Emily Oyedele. @qtabyevents team embarked on a search today & eventually located her. She lives alone in a "face-me-I-face-you" and she has neighbors that assist her. They say she is 130yrs old, though she looks very old, we can not verify her age.
Mama Emily has no living child but has a grandson called Benjamin Oyedele who she was referring to in the viral video.
The residents of the area confirmed that they do not know exactly when the demolition will get to them but it has already commenced.
OUR INTENTIONS:
1) Rent a decent 1bedroom apartment for mama Emily,
2)Furnish the apartment quickly 3) Relocate her there before the demolition gets to her (we have just about two weeks)
4) Possibly get a little girl that can live with her to help her with cleaning, cooking e.t.cor find out if her son can live with her
5) Form a small community of 20people called "friends or Mama Emily"
6) Designate one person to visit her once weekly, spend time with her e.t.c
7) We will also try to assist her grandson to learn a trade & earn a living as that is the only way her Joy will be complete
cool We will look into the possibility of helping other people in the community as we found another very old man that lives not far from Mama Emily whose house is also marked for demolition

The gentleman in brown shirt in the picture is her grandson Benjamin Oyedele. He was in our office yesterday and we realized that him and Mama's son had a building site before things went down & mama's died. The house needs plastering and roofing and fixing of toilets. We visited the building site yesterday. We will like to help them complete that house so that mama can live with his grandson & great grand children for the rest of her life.

EventsSee What This Wedding Vendor Did To A Nigerian Bride (incredible Photos) by AmicableEd(op): 7:45am On Apr 11, 2017
cc @lalasticalala

So at a Nigerian wedding that happened recently, a bride ordered and fully paid for the dessert fudge on the left, only for the vendor, Moyosore Adeniran Jaman of House of Emwai events to deliver the desert on the right.

And that's not all, this fraudulent vendor went on to serve burnt small chops to the wedding guests.

Guys, this vendor needs to be sued, lol, read the bride's message and see more photos below:

"House of Emwai, is apparently a fraud, beware people! She knew she was going to serve this crap and ensured that i made full payment before the day.
I felt embarrassed that such rubbish was served to my guests. I paid the exact amount she requested for without negotiating the cost. Who serves desserts in a pack?

Despite telling her I wasn't satisfied with her service, she hasn't deemed it fit to tender any apology.

I have gotten over it and the hundreds of thousand paid but I just need people to know this and be aware so as not to fall prey into her hands.

Before letting any vendor handle anything for you at your wedding, be sure the vendor is up to the task. Do not go all out trusting the vendor because of his/her IG photos or word of mouth or cos you want to encourage a friend. This is your BIG day and you wouldn't want any vendor or so-called friend that you are "trying to encourage" to ruin it up for you. Give it to the EXPERTS.

I just have a prayer for her, May it be unto her as she has done me this evil act.

A guest at the wedding also corroborated the account and said "I tasted the cake my self at the wedding and couldn't believe it when the bride said what she ordered was the one top left. What she supplied was burnt cake that was harder than cookies"

May God deliver us from fraudulent wedding vendors, Amen!

Celebrities21 Things I Learnt From Toke Makinwa's 'on Becoming' Book by AmicableEd(op): 8:16pm On Nov 30, 2016
Forget the excerpts you have been seeing on line, the 14 chapter memoir has deeper revelations and I will summarize it in these 21 simple points below:

1. Why the Book was published...

Toke Makinwa for the first time (and probably last time) gave all the details on her marriage scandal that happened last year. Unlike entertainer Tiwa Savage who addressed her own marital scandal by granting an exclusive interview with Journalist Azuka and selling it to Pulse TV, Toke Makinwa decided to address hers in a book.

According to Toke, she was inspired to write the book after a friend gave her an instruction from the Holy spirit.

Toke Makinwa however forgot to add that these other aims:

To make money (well obviously) and majorly "report" her estranged hubby, Maje Ayida and his other women to the world.

Maje's name came up close to 378 times in the 112 page book, the book was centered on HIM and not necessarily on Toke's victory/success story, or something.

2. Toke Makinwa had a solid Christian foundation...

3. This thing called 'Malice' can destroy!

The part where Toke recounted watching her parents go up in flames was really traumatic. Every reader will definitely feel her pain at that point and it's even more painful when you discover that it was simply the failure to pass an info (due to malice keeping), that caused the tragic incident.

4. Her Parents' death affected her faith in God...

She was born into a Christian home but the death of her Parents took its toll on her; she didn't heal from it on time.

5. Living a wild life...

Peradventure you always wonder why Toke Makinwa attends all the social functions, parties and events, the reason is simple! It's been part of her since her days of youthful exuberance!

6. Maje is not Toke Makinwa's first love...

Toke was a teenager as at when she started dating Maje but she had dated some other guys before him; from Bidemi who'll buy her expensive stuffs, to Seun, the one that cruelly broke up with her in the club, where she now eventually met Maje.

7. Their beautiful meeting...

I was just giggling as Toke narrated how they met and the sweet things he did, well, i am a hopeless romantic!

He was such an adorable gentle man when he met her at the club; he comforted her after she got dumped by her boyfriend. He made an even sweeter gesture by surprising her with her best food the next day 'peppered Snail'.

8. Maje Ayida was not only a Mr Romantic, but a PRINCE CHARMING to Toke Makinwa

He was everything Toke wanted in a Man.

And he was romantic! He would send her flowers, buy her expensive gifts and use deep words like

“Trust me.I’ll never let go of you.”

9. Toke gullibly loved him "too much"

Truth be told, Toke was really dumb in loving Maje the way she did.

Despite the many times he cheated on her, lied to her (ridiculous lies for that matter), chose his side chicks over her in public, broke up with her one too many times, had kids with two other Women (Erica and Anita), messed with her emotions, treated her like trash, cancelled "their" wedding several times etc...she still kept accepting him back, JUST BECAUSEhuh....please, what kind of LOVE is that?

No Woman deserves to be mentally and emotionally abused in a relationship like Toke Makinwa went through; she should have exited the relationship a long time ago, instead of hurting herself by stupidly accepting to STAY with a guy that obviously only saw her as a FLING!

Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it.

10. Ladies, once bitten (forgiven), twice shy!

Don't keep hoping for a change and sticking your head in a relationship with a guy that abuses you in any way. You are supposed to be treasured, valued and treated with RESPECT by your MAN.

Well, I am no relationship expert but I know that one shouldn't just fall in love blindly with the heart, the BRAIN is needed too.

11. Toke refused to heed warnings

They always say not all warnings or signs should be taken seriously but when a particular warning or sign is consistent from different peeps, please watch it!

Toke's friends warned her. Her sisters and cousins did. Even his Mother sarcastically did.

And his elder sister.

She even had DREAMS

But No!

12. It is not how LONG but how WELL!

One of the reasons Toke kept holding on was because of the many years (over 12 years or more) they had spent together.

13. They shouldn't have gotten married

After cancelling their wedding twice, he finally married her in 2014 in a private registry.

Sadly, Marriage worsened it.

He didn't stop cheating and seeing other women especially Anita Solomon.

Neither did she play her wifely roles.

14. Everyone wears a smile to hide the pain

Despite the issues she was having at home, Toke didn't let it interfere with her work or career. She put up a strong face and composure.
She even lost an endorsement deal...so sad.

15. Why she kept mum on the scandal after the media got wind of it

She had to heal, plus silence was a show of strength.

I’m thankful for the strength that helped me stay silent; who knows what ugly things I might have said and regretted? I was not going to be bitter or hateful, nor would I waste time planning vengeance. It would have made recovery a lot harder.

I swore not to get caught up with blaming the other woman for ‘stealing’ my husband. Two people are always involved in these things, and no woman can ‘steal’ a husband who isn’t interested.

16. Walking out of her marriage was difficult

Toke found it hard to quit but it was the best decision.

17. Family members tried to intervene in having them back together

After moving out of the house, there were moves from close ones to have them back together.

18. You can't please the public

No, you just can't.

Maje and I both agreed to counseling and opened up a line of communication between us. We started hanging out again, but it was awkward at first. Maje’s apologies felt like drops of water in a deep, empty well, but what else could he say? No words would make up for his actions and their consequences.

The truth is that I wasn’t afraid of being without him anymore. It had taken a long time, but I was ready to build again alone. I didn’t love Maje anymore, but each time I said this I was told it was the anger talking. People had gone from speculating to simply assuming Maje and I were back together, and I didn’t blame them much because I wasn’t saying anything.

Maje and I would meet at public functions and the press would ask for photos. If I said no, it would be the next day’s headlines: Toke declined to take a picture, things must still be shaky; they are over, they hate each other. If I said yes, it would be in the news the next day anyway: They are back together, they are united, they are still married. So even as I posed for the pictures, I thought I knew what to expect. What I wasn’t ready for was the backlash I got simply for a picture. I was criticized for going back to Maje. I was called a hypocrite and weak. I was shamed and abused for letting him off the hook too easily.

All of this put a further strain on Maje and I, but we kept at the counselling and talking. The public’s reaction also showed me that you couldn’t please the world. I was called names for leaving, I was laughed at for not being strong enough to keep a home. And now there was news of a possible reconciliation, and even in this the woman gets blamed.

20. The God factor and victory!

When there is no one else to turn to, God is always there!

There is strength is forgiving, letting go and having God!

21. Toke Makinwa's lessons from it all!

Deep lessons I must say!

But the lessons I have learnt are sure to make my life easier going forward:
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
Forgiveness is hard. Saying it is easy but doing it is real work.
Self-love is important. Love yourself enough to put you first.
You must accept the reality instead of wishing that your past were any different.
God’s plan is bigger than you. The greater the pain, the bigger the purpose.
I’ve learnt to laugh at myself. Now I laugh so hard, until whatever situation I find myself in becomes genuinely funny.

******************************************************************
I really admire Toke Makinwa for rising above the whole issue and even making money out of it smiley Cheers! Have you read the book, what's your take on it?

CelebritiesRobbing People Under The Guise Of Prominent Pastors - My Dad Was Scammed! by AmicableEd(op): 5:41pm On Jul 29, 2016
Hi Kemi....please see a brief story on my Dad's scam experience, this happened yesterday Thursday, 28th July. I have also attached images of my conversation with the fraudster. Please help publicize through your blog.

My Daddy, (A pensioner in his 60s) got scammed yesterday by a man claiming to be Daddy Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. I have observed that a lot of these fraudsters are on social media under the guise of prominent individuals like Pa Adeboye.

After my Dad made the payment of his widow's mite, he called to inform me and I felt terrible, so then I searched the name Enoch Adejare Adeboye, and found out the 'plenty many' accounts that exist on Facebook, I couldn’t recognize the real one myself, so I started adding up all the supposed 'Enoch Adejares', lo and behold, one of them responded and the attached conversation 1, 2, 3, ensued.

Please Nigerians, let's be a lot more careful in our association with people, and our quest for miracles or prayers especially on social media, as most of these accounts are FAKE. Remember, we are 'small gods'. God can answer our prayers if we cry out to him with our own little voice.

My advice to all prominent individuals/Nigerians is also that they get their social media accounts verified, for many of us who might not know what this means, it is a little tick beside a prominent individual's profile on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter e..t.c) that validates the authenticity of a particular account.

Once this individual's account has this tick, all other accounts are considered FAKE. Nigerians Beware!

Kalu Ikeagwu Reveals Why He Is Just Getting Married And Wedding Details

A couple of days ago, actor Kalu Ikeagwu and make up artiste Ijeoma Eze's romantic prewedding photos hit the blogosphere.

In this exclusive chat with Kemi Filani Blog, the handsome actor who will quit the bachelorhood on the 25th of June in Enugu talks about his upcoming wedding, how he met and fell in love with Ijeoma, why he is just settling down and more.

Enjoy the excerpts below:

A little bird told us you are wedding this June 25 in Enugu but no one knows the venue, why is that?

You know I am a very private person and I don't want a lot of crowd.

Many would love to know why it's a kind of a secret or why there is not so much noise about it?

It's not a secret, some blogs have written about it. I don't like noise and for me the most important thing is the marriage itself. The wedding is just to say to everybody that before God and man that I am married to this person. The main thing is the marriage and it matters a lot where I am from.

So how you feel? Do you feel excited or just there?

Men tend not to excited about wedding... so we would love to know if it's the same with you...

I am excited about my marriage, I just there about my wedding.

Why?

Not because of the money. I told God to take care of how the money for the expenses comes. Especially at this time when everything is on the increase. My friends call and ask how we are going to cope with a basket of tomato at that high price. I know God will take care of how those will come. The good thing about the wedding preparation is that I am seeing the beauty of the person I am getting married to through this. I mean she is not getting stressed and she is working very hard. She is a very reliable person. She is doing most of the work for our wedding

Do you see yourself growing very old, like up to using a walking stick with her?

Growing old, yes, but I don't know about walking stick. I don't think I want to see myself going about with a walking stick.

You don't wish to use a walking stick when you are like 95 years old?

I told God I want maintain my vigor, what I mean by vigor is being about to satisfy my wife even when I am 90. I don't want to be walking frail kind of old.

Is that even possible..

Oh, It's possible, watch me. I will be the first person. Not using a walking stick means I will be erect and I will be able to trot if not am not able to jug

Do you know the colours of the day for your big day?

I know one. Blue and I think there will be red somewhere. God I am going to be killed. Please forgive me but I am not sure. Am hardly interested in those things.

How does it feel giving up your bachelor life?

That is one of the reason why I am not married for quite a while. I have been on my own since I was nine years old. I was in boarding school so I learned to be on my own from that time upwards. I am sort of introverted. My whole world exists in my head. So my bachelor hood was the toughest thing for me to give up.

So you were scared of inviting someone into your life?
Something like that, like inviting someone to take over my life and space.

Are you that Romantic?

I wouldn't call it being romantic. I call it what the other person would like. I don't see myself as a romantic person.

Others will call it being romantic...
When you say romantic, I get scared. Like 'Oh my God I have to get down on my knees, buy flowers everyday and all that. It's scary am not that person.

So, how did you propose?

I told you I am not a Romantic person. I proposed indirectly and under pressure.

We would love to know the details...
I proposed indirectly like I said earlier and I put her on the spot. Immediately it occurred to me that I cannot let her go, that she is a keeper and someone I cannot afford to loose. At my uncles funeral, when we were about to start the funeral. I was speaking with one of my uncles when she came to me to collect my car key and I held her by the waist and told my uncle that she is the one I want to marry. He looked at me and said, "are you sure? I said I was very sure. He turned to her and asked her if I was her choice and she shyly said Yes.

Some may see that as a boring way to propose ... then did you just wake up the next day and just called her up to take her ring?

I can only clear my throat to this question.

We know you are not a shy person because you are always in front of a camera, so we would love to know why you proposed like that...

Who said so. I am very shy when it comes to these kind of things. That was very manipulative of me because I chose to kill two birds with a stone. I wanted to tell my uncle how serious I was and I also wanted her to say how serious she is about me in front of my uncle. To me that was more important than any romantic proposal. I am not romantic. I am boring if that's how you and many others see me. No apologies whatsoever. I may learn in the marriage. She is not that Romantic herself.

Are sure? Don't you think she may be shy as well..

Yes she is a little shy and yes she loves being pampered.

Since you are getting married, are there some roles you will give up acting?

I have a step daughter and I keep asking my wife-to-be which of my movies has she seen. If it's the one I was a bad guy or the ones where I am a good guy. So I thought about this question you just asked and I realized that I am like a role model to my family. My family would have to inform the roles I take on from now wards. I might not be going Unclad in any movies anytime soon. I don't think I will give up being a bad guy in movies so far as it teaches something. But if will be vulgar, I would hands off

You said you have a step daughter?

Yes, Ijeoma has a daughter so I do have a step daughter.

Would you love to have a baby immediately after marriage?
No, I will love to enjoy my wife before the babies start coming.

How many babies do you want? Would you like to have a full house?
What? A full house?

I only want to change pampers only once or two times. I love my quiet but I can mature and manage with two. Two children are enough.

Another fear I have about having my own children is that they might take my personality.

CelebritiesLagos Burial For Henrietta Kosoko Cancelled As Her Family Hijacks Plans by AmicableEd(op): 7:10am On Jun 10, 2016
The Funeral service for late Henrietta Emumeakpor-Kosoko slated for Regina Mundi,Mushin,Lagos has been cancelled. Not only that, her remains will also not be interred at Atan Cemetery,Yaba,Lagos as earlier released by the burial committee.

According to one of the members of the committee who spoke to reporters, the reason for the cancellation of the Lagos funeral arrangement was not unconnected with the fact that the Henrietta’s family from Delta state insisted that their daughter must not be buried outside.

The family of the late actress does not recognize Jide Kosoko as her husband, hence their decision to take charge of her funeral.

‘Henrietta is Urhobo woman from Delta state, where they cherish their culture. Jide Kosoko didn’t go to her family house in Delta to pay her dowry,’ the source said.

“It’s true that Henrietta’s remains will no longer be buried in Lagos. Her siblings and other members of her family have insisted they’re not burying her in Lagos as earlier planned by Jide Kosoko.

“I learnt the issue didn’t go down well with Jide Kosoko but there’s nothing he could do to resist that.”
