NgeneUkwenu: A very good man. He will win handsomely.
Good luck brother!
You and I know he won't risk it. It's all part of APC's pressure tactics to get Alex Otti to decamp to the party but Otti won't gamble his electoral chances away by joining the APC.
Rest in Peace, gallant men. Our C-in-C will rather concern himself with playing politics and scuttling opposition. Nigeria is currently on Trump's Fox news. It's only a matter of time.
FSBoperator: Tinubu did not owe GEJ nor PDP any apologies because he was never affiliated to both.
Explain to us why you now support turncoats like Amaechi, Kwankwasso, El Rufai and Atiku who contributed to Goodluck's ouster by no small measure.
If Tinubu can align with all those you mentioned to get his fellow Southern brother out of power for his own selfish interest, why do you want others not to pay him back in his own coin by aligning with them to get him out of power? Una think say una wise abi? The other South have also never been allied with Tinubu so it's fair game. Why are you suddenly begging for Southern unity after betraying those aforementioned who got you into power?
LegendHero: Our leaders are also Northern leaders. APC chairman is a Northerner so what is bad if he’s pleading to his Northern kinsmen?
Why would he plead with his Northern kinsmen on Tinubu's behalf? Does Tinubu need Northern votes? Don't tell me he's tired of dealing with the North and now needs their votes.
FSBoperator: Tinubu will contest for a second term which he is entitled to and he will win.
He will be sworn-in for a second 4y tenure and nothing you say or do will change that destiny.
You will have four more years of angst and pains of seeing a Yoruba man ruling you.
After 4ys, Tinubu will hand over to a democratically elected northern candidate with a SS running mate.
You can then continue insulting the entire northern Muslim population from then on.
You continued existence will be plagued by bitterness, envy, jealousy and hate which you will be too weak of a coward to act upon.
No one has denied him of his rights to contest. He should rather quit attempting from denying others of those rights by abusing office using state institutions and fifth columnists such as the below. On whether or not he will win, that is the exclusive preserve of the Nigerian electorates.
VIDEO: 'Put my name on the portal' — Nafiu Bala leads protest to INEC, demands recognition of his ADC faction
FSBoperator: Is the ADC the only registered party in Nigeria?
Una go just dey talk any how
Paul Biya's party is not the only party in Cameroon but he has ruled for 44 years and counting. You can continue to bury your head in the sand but don't expect the rest of us to do the same.
Nigeria is not going towards a one-party state. What Nigeria is at risk of is a one-man rule.
duro4chang: There are some people on nairaland that attribute any catastrophe they are facing with Tinubu. If their fathers cannot make love to their mothers, they will blame Tinubu for it. So Tinubu was the VDM who took him to the court and boasted openly that he has sent him to prison?
Only car-wards go through corners. Abacha was bold enough to own up his vices with his full chest. Your tin-god should do the same instead of using proxies.
It is already being used. APC under Tinubu has taken Nigeria back to the dark days. There will soon be that last straw that will break the camel's back.
Thûgs disrupted ADC congress in Afiesere community, Ughelli, Delta State. The incident reportedly happened this morning. pic.twitter.com/BPogbfxa2Q
Isn't it obvious? Attempts to sell Tinubu's candidacy in the South has been meeting a brickwall despite the level of intimidation, coercion and inducement. He remains even more unpopular in the South than he is in the North and the North are fast abandoning him after his betrayal and woeful performance. He has no realistic pathway to victory.
WizardOfNG: How? You don't care about Nigeria's growth, progress and incrementally sustainable development over time.
You are only upset the Nigerian political system, to include Northerners, is matching the energy of your masters i.e dishonourable Northern born-to-rule supremacists and imperialist usurpers.
The way some of you talk one would think Atiku, El Rufai, Malami, Tambuwal, Babachir Lawal, Hadi Sirika etal are Nelson Mandela, Awolowo, Kwame Nkrumah, Thomas Sankara and Mother Theresa rolled into one rather than leprous and ruinous hands everything must be done to prevent hijacking the path of reform and lasting progress Nigeria is on.
As usual, the only one silver bullet that has failed to discharge. Is Tinubu popular in the South? Attempts to sell his candidacy as a "Southern agenda" is failing fantastically and this is due to his level of greed and covetousness, cornering everything for himself and cronies. Tinubu is more unpopular in the South today than he is in the North. The North made him President. He only won 4 Southern states out of 17 and can't do better than he did the last time. This is why he's attempting to scuttle opposition. He should be allowed to steal the election because he is carrying out "bold reforms" right? Noted.
LegendHero: lol which SW, you don see the security report wey USA give, SW no even dey part.
Any remnants happening in SW can be dealt with because our people are actually not the culprits. With serious fortification of Amotekun, we can run out all those small cells of bandits.
But the North are in big problem. It is their own people doing this while the leaders use insecurity as bargaining tool.
Asiwaju will do till 2031 and after then we would already have state police and fortify the South and leave the North to continue their games.
Nigeria won’t last the next 30 years. So by then, Somalia will look more peaceful than Northern Nigeria. So continue
Okay, noted. You are arrogant online, but your leader's leaders are begging and grovelling before Northerners.
LegendHero: No be una dey do unaself? Tinubu will leave in 2031, you can rollover the terrorism to the next government and when Nigeria finally collapse, SW will go in a peaceful way while you continue to nurture the seed you keep planting.
You can’t use terrorism to win votes again in Nigeria. That cycle per1shed with Jonathan government
This right here is the thought process of Tinubu towards insecurity and that has shown in his body language towards the issue, even though he is the C-in-C. Unfortunately, the lethargy has enabled the insecurity to start spreading into the Southwest. He also didn't give Goodluck Jonathan that grace. He used it as an excuse to get him out of power. He just wants to be president so he and Chargouri can be okay.
"When it comes to issues of insecurity, the buck stops at the president's table" - Tinubu to GEJ
LegendHero: Maybe they are protecting him against bandits.
By the way, there are more crowd with him that you have yesterday even when them Atiku paid protesters 3k each
In the middle of Abuja? Says a lot about Tinubu's government. I wish the people of Rukuba in Jos had such security presence. Boko Haram also ransacked another army base in Maiduguri yesterday night, killing several soldiers and an Army General. But priorities are priorities. This too shall pass.
LegendHero: Lol planted story? Is this not exactly the same thing Elisha Abbo was saying in his video?
I’m even surprised you don’t blame Tinubu for this too. I think you’re having a clear reality check now
Aren't they clearer reality checks in Benue, Enugu, Delta, Jigawa and several APC states where congresses have held? You should also be concerned about that.
LegendHero: Adamawa’s opposition landscape was thrown into fresh chaos on Thursday as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) pressed ahead with its ward congresses despite deepening internal divisions, court battles, and explosive allegations of a leadership hijack.
The crisis rocking the party intensified following legal actions reportedly backed by a faction loyal to Senator Aishatu Binani, who is challenging the legitimacy of the congress process. The faction has accused former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, of orchestrating a takeover of party structures ahead of the exercise.
Despite the legal fireworks, the party’s state leadership under Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin insisted that the congresses would proceed as planned across all wards.
In a statement issued by Martins Yanatham Dickson, Head of Media and Publicity of the ADC State Transition Implementation Committee, members were directed to mobilise en masse.
“This is to inform registered members of the African Democratic Congress that the Unit, Ward and Local Government party congress slated for today, April 9, 2026, will hold as scheduled and communicated by the National Headquarters.
“Critical sensitive materials and logistical arrangements are being sorted out.
“All registered party members are strongly advised to mobilize across the 226 wards of the state for the congress,” the statement read.
However, the unfolding drama has further exposed the widening cracks within the party, with multiple factions laying claim to legitimacy.
Adding fuel to the fire, Senator Elisha Ishaku Abbo openly accused both Babachir Lawal and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of failing to provide credible leadership for the party.
Abbo alleged that the duo’s actions have deepened divisions within the ADC, leaving it fragmented and weakened at a critical political moment.
This comes amid an ongoing leadership crisis within the ADC. Last Wednesday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced plans to remove the names of Senator David Mark and former Osun State governor Rauf Aregbesola from its official portal as leaders of the party, citing a pending court dispute over the ADC’s leadership.
9jatriot: lol.... he too will submit his petition to INEC and INEC will stamp received on it.
2 petitions from 2 factions. This one even has an edge he has a court ruling that says they should go back to the FHC court to go and finish.
If Nafiu Bala, who was just one among several Vice Chairmen before they were dissolved by the party NEC, is now the authentic Chairman of the party, who are the rest of his Excos? The true test of power is the ability to show restraint. Tinubu is abusing his office just because he can. We all know how it always ends.
Nigeria is not going towards a one-party state. What Nigeria is at risk of is a one-man rule.
With APC, it is always about whataboutism. They no longer even argue that Tinubu is performing. They simply attempt to justify it by saying others were also bad. Tinubu has outborrowed all previous administrations combined and he isn't even paying fuel subsidy. No administration since the military era has matched Buhari in terms of visible infrastructure.

President Buhari warned against the disaster we are confronted with today, forget all the doctored data and insane propaganda powered by the @NGRPresident and their south west media ecosystem
The entire Arewa are on Tinubu matter and this is no exaggeration
Okay, noted. But it was Tinubu who travelled to Daura to convince a retired Buhari to come help kick his Southern brother out of power. Try another line.
Nwaokunkpara: Why is it so hard for obi Atiku Kwankwaso Amechi to form a new political party
Because they applied, fulfilled all criteria and INEC refused to register the party.
Channels TV presenters are being disingenuous for expecting him to mention who offered him money on live TV. Reno Omokri also told us how he was being co-opted by someone in government to come work for Tinubu. He was never pressed to mention who that someone was even though we all know who. It is his prerogative to plead the fifth. Trying to hound your guest in such a manner is equivalent to pressing a journalist to name his sources.
Governor of Zamafara also mentioned in an interview how other governors were getting as high as 500 billion naira as palliative for being in the APC and how he was being denied. He eventually decamped to the APC. Nafiu Bala currently moves in a convoy with SUVs and excorts. Who is bankrolling him? We can't all continue to bury our heads in the sand.
CaptainGo: Tinubu has never lost an election he ran. Your corrupt SPV god has been trying to be president since 1992. After 2027, he will finally retire to his beloved Dubai.
Tinubu is the greatest politician alive in Nigeria. He does not take opposition for granted no matter how small. If you create loopholes in your smelly coalition of confusion, he will exploit it and show you guys pepper. Cry from now till tomorrow, emotions do not change fact.
He lost to Obi in his backyard in Lagos. He is only president today because the North made him so with their votes.
He's building houses for judges and giving lands out to INEC officials. Is that part of the loopholes created by the opposition? Did this loopholes exist when others were president or they suddenly manifested during his regime?
Godfullsam: but obi is already building bridges na. He is already building bridge with saint el-rufai, saint malami, saint atiku, gumi etc.
Did Saint Elrufai not make Tinubu president? If Tinubu can build a bridge with him and profit off his capacity before proceeding to betray him, why can't Obi? Nigerians are saying the gaslighting is over.
SmartPolician: I thought Tinubu was in Lagos days ago. Why is he sending Akpabio? One of the most insane things I have seen Tinubu do is visit a state and commission projects virtually. Like, how does that when make sense? Nigeria deserves young leaders!
At this point, it has to be paranoia and fear. If he succeeds in stealing the election as planned, he'll probably never step foot outside the villa again or will relocate the capital to Lagos as Amaechi said yesterday.
CaptainGo: Relax, 2027 is around the corner. You can play ostrich or drown in wishful thinking all you want. Your emotions would not change obvious facts.
Even your tin-god is no longer counting on winning at the ballot, he wants to use federal power and institutions of state to preselect the opponents he will face at the polls. Not going to happen.
False headlines. Tinubu was represented by Akpabio, the Senate president even though he was there in Lagos. He acts like he can't stand his own citizens. Went to Jos and couldn't wait to be gone. Ditto, Benue state. Is it fear, arrogance or insensitivity?
WizardOfNG: Rubbish as usual presented as general consensus.
How about the many, Nigerians , who are well-read and exposed enough to understand how developed nation got where they are today?
People in that category passionately believe Tinubu is doing exactly what developed nation did, including the unspoken appeal for Nigerians to sacrifice for a much better future as they have never had, so that Nigeria too becomes like Finland, Sweden, Canada, Singapore etal.
You think everyone is against Tinubu because Nigeria has a disproportionate amount of people who are uneducated and lack critical knowledge.
You will be shocked to see the error of your ways and thinking February next year as I have warned you already to expect.
Lol. We are back to "bold reforms?" Where are the results? Tinubu has since outborrowed all previous governments combined and he isn't even paying subsidies. Watch this video of Buhari and compare with Tinubu's current policies then tell me who was more on track for economic prosperity of Nigeria. Tinubu just went to UK to accept a loan that will resuscitate the UK steel industry but Ajaokuta is still comatose.
