LeeSmart:It's always whataboutism. Tinubu has since surpassed Buhari on all vices. Okay, assuming but not conceding. Buhari was nepotistic in favour of the entire North and the entire North voted for him in return. Tinubu is tribalistic in favour of only the Lagos bloc of the Southwest and Lagos didn't even vote for him in 2023. I hope Southwestern votes alone can get him re-elected. |
Okay, noted.
It's just how they earn a living. We can't begrudge them that, or can we? Tinubu has no single organic supporter backing him out of pure conviction. None! It's either because of Money, Region, Religion, or Rice. |
Thanks to Tinubu's quest to kill opposition, messages like these now fall on deaf ears. Nigerians are now determined to vote Tinubu out of power, by any legal means necessary.
noleflendum:What court judgement? Did any court ask INEC to derecognise the leadership of the ADC. If yes, post the judgement here.
Walk to live? They will have a better chance at life if Tinubu will obey the supreme court judgement and release their local government allocations. |
APC have fumbled their own campaign with the gaffe with the ADC. It was the last straw.
The ADC is filled up. We are no longer receiving any new defectee.
Skinnygee1:Form their own party? Did Tinubu and the compromised INEC allow for any political party to be formed? Didn't ADA and several others saw their applications denied despite meeting all criteria?
His water carriers are going to invade this thread to preach about "Southern unity".
Did Tinubu not connive with Wike in Rivers to create a faction in Rivers APC that prevented the party from fielding candidates in two electoral cycles? He proceeded to reward Magnus Abe for a job well done. Tinubu is the pioneer of anti-party in the APC. It is the same template they are both now attempting to replicate at the national level, but it's dead on arrival. A president should not be seen to be moving like a felon and embracing illegality. It diminishes the office. |
madridguy:Atiku is far fitter than Tinubu. He was out on the streets today and still made out time to attend this meeting. Tinubu couldn't even step out of Bourdillon to Commission a project in Lagos. He had to draft Akpabio all the way from Abuja to do so on his behalf.
43Ronin:That was why Osinbajo told you during the APC primaries to "vote for who you know. Don't vote for who you do not know". He was trying to warn us. |
PDP and leaders of the coalition are currently meeting in Abuja. The stakes in 2027 will be too high for Tinubu to surmount. This is Nigeria. There are no Kings. Game on!
jmoore:He is. The ticket was supposed to be Jonathan/Kwankwaso under PDP. That was when Tinubu panicked and sacked Ganduje as requested by Kwankwaso. Tinubu was supposed to have followed through with that by conceding the VP slot to Kwankwaso but he never did. Rather, he went behind Kwankwaso's back to poach Abba Kabir. That was a strategic mistake. |
jmoore:That's not how the law works. Jonathan is eligible to contest. |
The NDC by Seriake Dickson is an SPV for Goodluck Jonathan to enter the race which is a welcome development. I realistically don't see a pathway for Tinubu to return elected if the elections hold. |
onatisi:Tinubu may end up becoming the Premier of Lagos Province in 2027 if he insists on going ahead with his undemocratic behaviour. He who thinks he's leading and has no one following is only taking a walk. |
adioolayi:And where is the PDP after just 3 years of Paul Biya wannabe? The people should be allowed to choose their own preferred choice at every electoral cycle. |
adioolayi:The fear of formidable opposition figures. Emphasis on the word "formidable". "Elections" have not ceased holding in Cameroon. Paul Biya just "won" one recently again at nearly 94 years old and has been in power for the past 44 years. This will not be allowed to be the case in Nigeria. |
The resistance will begin from his very own Southwest. It's already happening and it will be televised.
HacheNoire:It happened to LP and you lot said resolve your internal matters. Happened to PDP and you lot said resolve your internal matters. Happened to NNPP and you lot said resolve your internal matters. It's now happening to ADC and you're repeating the same. Well, this is your final bus stop. Tinubu will not be allowed to select his preferred opposition at the ballot come 2027. Tinubu is setting the condition precedent where he will face unprecedented resistance even if he becomes the only candidate on the ballot. He has already succeeded in uniting the opposition against himself. It's called the Streisand effect. Google that. |
Racoon:Even genuine APC supporters who were previously looking for a competitive election to win fair and square are now concerned. One who is so desperate for power can certainly not want it for public good. Expect the mother of all anti-party in 2027. |
All Badaru's men have decamped to the ADC despite Tinubu holding a last minute meeting to beg him. Tinubu has done every abracadabra known to man, including changing the electoral laws to criminalise defections and decriminalising crimes like certificate forgery and age falsification, but it has failed to slow down the coalition. This is happening in his very own backyard in the Southwest. 2027 will be beyond tribe, region, or religion. It will be a revolution at the ballot.
Well, he has every reason to be scared. This is how the electorates feel even in the Southwest, his very own backyard.
WizardOfNG:As long as Tinubu faces his opponents at the ballot, no problem. What he will not do is to select the opposition he prefers to face at the ballot. That is not democracy. |
WizardOfNG:But Tinubu is not loved anywhere in Nigeria. This was Ibadan yesterday. Anyone you see supporting Tinubu is either doing so for a fee or posturing for one. Cc: NgeneUkwenu
Treasure17:How can he? This is the sentiments in the Southwest.
Tflex01:Lies. This was rather what he said. He wasn't wrong if you ask me. It's a video so you can't say he was misquoted. https://www.instagram.com/p/CiKw1PvIdYB/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== |
Tflex01:Lol. Provide proof that he predicted a win for Atiku. |
HacheNoire:Does the truth make you uncomfortable?
press9jatv:Congratulations to the authentic Chairman of the APC. We are solidly behind you. https://x.com/NigeriaRenew/status/2041759118176706612 |
