Imposition is going on in virtually all APC states across the country. Welcome to "Baba sope" democracy. Some will revolt while others will pretend to be cool with it but expect the mother of all anti-party come 2027. |
The desperation in Nairaland headlines these days is laughable. "ADC Chieftain", "Atiku ally", "Elrufai ally" all from individual social media users airing their personal views. Can the tweets of Seunmsg or Helenus be categorised as coming from Tinubu's ally? |
It was more barely 5 years ago. Are the numbers increasing or decreasing?

How can a man exercising his democratic right by contesting an election be seen as "holding the country down?" Do you realise that demanding that Atiku steps down is same thing as Tinubu wanting other opposition parties not to field candidates against him? If it is right to pressure Atiku not to contest, against his wish. Why shouldn't it be right for Tinubu to pressure Obi and indeed, other candidates from contesting, using every arsenal at his disposal? Power is not served on a plate. There is a natural succession in Northern politics. With Buhari deceased, there is no single Northerner alive today that can pull more votes from the North than Atiku. Whether anyone chooses to deceive themselves or not, the ADC momentum is currently in the North. More Northerners are registered as members of the ADC. For this reason, if ADC holds a direct primary as stipulated by the Electoral Act, Atiku will win. Atiku ran against the tide in 2023 and still polled 7m votes while winning Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Osun states in the South. That was against an untested Tinubu that enjoyed tremendous amount of support from the North (5.6m votes). |
SmartPolician:Nairaland is fast losing substance. From lifting comments from random twitter users and describing them as ADC Chieftains to other ridiculous threads that are quickly moved to frontpage. The conversation is being dumbed down. Kwankwaso will not take offence at Atiku’s comments. He knows Atiku is his elder as far as Northern politics is concerned. Same way Tinubu went to Ogun and called out Dapo while branding him as eleyi. Some purported Obi's supporters (most of whom are APC lackeys in disguise) cannot be more Catholic than the pope nor cry more than the bereaved. This is politics! |
Why so? Isn't he going to maintain status quo ante bellum again? We won't be surprised to see INEC attending the one-man convention. This violation of our democracy will not go unpunished. |
NgeneUkwenu:You can't sleep, can you? You've been keeping tabs. Anyways, use this one hold body. Momentum is clearly with the ADC. On the other hand, APC is counting on the courts to bar the ADC from contesting as their silver bullet. /mediaViewer?currentTweet=2044023066401874086¤tTweetUser=dammiedammie35 |
Barred from media interviews? NADECO people for you. We know this is what it's all about. They are afraid of Elrufai and want to keep him out of the game, but Elrufai is inevitable.
|
ADC Chieftain? You mean in the same way Helenus and Seunmsg are APC Chieftains? The desperation for clickbaits and engagement would have been funny if it wasn't so sad. |
seunmsg:Okay o. The people of Kebbi will massively vote for Tinubu.
|
Obaofaba:Okay, noted.
|
Fergie001, kindly attend to my mail please. |
seunmsg:Lol. He does not have the locus standi. |
SixSeven:Noted. Meanwhile, happening in Kwara right now...
|
BATified2023:Kogi is not Yoruba land but virtually all his appointment to the Northcentral have gone to the Yoruba speaking tribes of Kogi and Kwara only. No one have accused Tinubu of nepotism to the South as they did Buhari. They have only accused him of tribalism and cornering everything for himself and cronies. |
kentokay71:Lol. The joke is actually on you. https://punchng.com/apc-convention-fg-orders-workers-to-work-from-home/

[quote author=osuofia2 post=139084363]Call your jihadists brothers to other. Tinubu is the president, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. That's his primary duty. "When it comes to issues of insecurity, the buck stops at the President's desk" - Tinubu to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan |
osuofia2:Not until Bola Tinubu and Shettima are defeated come 2027.
|
|
...the now disgraced, Ayo Fayose. What an embarrassment. |
First to do no dey pain. Kaduna this morning is said to be on standstill as a result of the volume of security personnel mobilised to the state. By this time leading into 2023, Elrufai was all over the place selling Tinubu's candidacy to Northerners. The treachery and betrayal will be repaid a thousand folds. Time is a gentleman.

State police is the latest snake oil being sold after selling subsidy removal and tax reform as silver bullets. State police is just a way for the federal government to leave you all to your fate while screaming "hold your governors accountable" as they continue looting. Can any state police tackle the level of terrorism and insurgency that Nigeria is currently battling? |
yarimo:Don't forget that the FCT Minister, Wike, threatened to breakdown the Rivers state stadium and force his way in when it appeared he was denied usage of the stadium which was under construction. Actions like these, supported by you lot, are why APC is losing ground amongst the electorates. Don't think they go unnoticed. Nigerians are watching and paying attention. No one likes a villain and people naturally gravitate toward the one seen to be oppressed. |
From the same "master strategist" who declared a public holiday on the day of APC's convention. What are they afraid of? Moves like these will only turn the tide in favour of the ADC and gravitate undecided voters toward the party. |
Cyberterror:Lol. E shock you abi? Here's a link to the video on RenewedHopeMedia. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQ9orPtDCTj/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== |
Relax, Tinubu is Finishing Nigerians. The "bold reforms" are working! |
Cyberterror:Do you mean Seyi Tinubu's friend?
|
OredoPikin:Well, it's a good sign they are back to campaigning, even if it's to engage in smear campaigns. It's better than attempting to steal the election for Tinubu by utilising the courts to make him the only candidate on the ballot. |
seunmsg:Lol. So what is Tinubu waiting for to persecute him if he has any evidence? He can start first with his Vice President if a picture is all it takes. Everyone knows Tukur Mamu was Sheikh Gumi's aide and a recognised bandit negotiator whom the government has utilised severally in negotiations. Despite his detention, the government overall has not stopped these negotiations. It now terms it "non-kinetic approach" alias "peace deals".
|
Melezenawii:NADECO blogger at it again. Is this supposed to be a smart statement? Were they the first to approach the courts or are they supposed to ignore the process when actions have been taken against them, which are clearly contrarian to law? |
OneCandleAway:On the anniversary of his first year in office, he unveiled the World's largest portrait at Eagle Square on June 12. It was a portrait of himself. It is also conspicuous that he has never mentioned Abiola or done anything for his legacy since assumption to power. Buhari did more for Abiola than the man who benefitted the most from his legacy.
|
Well, the presidential aide just claimed his post and that of INEC are a mere coincidence.
