I did yellow corn, guinea corn and millet pap +formula. I didn't add soyabeans,though i'm sure he can take it too. He can also take cereals (nutribom, nutrilac, cerelac, heinz), just make sure its age appropriate.

Dear Sabi Mamas,

Please help me take a look at my son''s left leg. When we went for his 6 weeks vaccines. The left leg got really swollen though I didn't realise this till I got home. I gave him pcm and did a little ice compress.
I noticed that he doesn't like to put the leg down at all neither does he stretch it out the way he does the right leg.

One day, dh even asked me if his coveralls had the same length. I've been really bothered but I felt it would get better.

We went for his 10 weeks vaccination and that same leg got swollen, however the swelling is yet to fully come down.

Should I be worried or start massaging it and stretching the leg. Not to compare or anything, but I saw a baby who was born on the same day as he was and the baby could stand on the mother''s leg with support while my son can only stand firmly with his right leg. Once you place his left leg, he won't stand.

Please mama, take baby to the hospital without delay. This one is not phone matter. Please go today.

Thank you all. We were supposed to be discharged this morning but I heard the hospital doesn't discharge until baby has started breast feeding . I don't know how true this is, but I trust the hospital sha. I am only afraid of their bills . They are one of the best around here.

I experienced my first dose of vigilante.We didn't sleep yesternight. Baby cried and didn't sleep cos of hunger. I have been putting him to breast but nothing yet.
This morning, I noticed he shakes at times and has some strange breathing that isn't frequent. I alerted the chief matron who requested his blood sugar be checked. It was very low and doctor was informed. B4 then, hubby has been told to get glucose but when the doc came , he did some calculations and set up intravenous drip/ saline water. Some drip were also put in his mouth . Doc also noticed he had elevated temp and hubby had to put on the aircon (he is so aircon averse) Since then baby has been calm . He is sleeping at the moment though he hiccups at times. He is still on the drip.

I have been told to increase my tea and water intake for the BM.
It is well.

Hello mamas, in the words of @eksbabe make una no look my character o. I'm sorry for abandoning you guys . So from when my baby was 11 months, she started making efforts to stand and would take one or two wobbly steps. This continued until past 12 months. However, since then this girl has refused to stand and even take any steps anymore. Once you put her to stand, she either curls her legs or just looks for the nearest thing to hold and when you try to force her, she just starts crying. She goes round the house standing and walking while holding things. If I had not seen her stand and take a few steps before, I would have thought it was my imagination. Did anyone experience this with their LO? Also, she still does that toe walking thing I complained about earlier although its better now as she firmly puts her feet on the ground 70% of the time but is there a way I can hasten it so she puts both feet on the ground all the time? Most importantly, how can I aid her walking because no be get myself again and I don't have strength to be carrying her always.

PS; She is 13months and 9days old.

Since she holds things to walk around, then i think you should allow her. I understand the anxiety and the stress of carrying. My son walked at 13months, at 12months, everyone was talking, but i refused to pressure him. One day,he just stood up and started walking. Very soon now, you will come back to ask how you can stop her from jumping upandan and scattering your house

Thank God I had to read this, have been battling with the though for a week now. Hubby and I was thinking of enrolling our 1yr 7 month son in school, probably kindergarten or pre school, am a biz woman so staying with my son is not a problem, but my mum came n she said we should wait till he is 2 yrs when he can talk well n I can teach him small things at home, though av been trying but the lil man doesn't take me serious, he just says A,B n won't ans again or sys 1,2 den jump to 8,9. I think my mum is right, she is an educationists, guess am rushing him too much cos pple around av started asking y I won't let him go to school n join his mate that he is too clinging .

OMG this happened to me. It was awful. Some even said its the force with which i pushed baby out, i started wondering if pushing didn't require force. I was always pressed to poo but poo won't come out and when it managed to, its soooo big like my wrist and very hard, even made my anus sore. At some point it became bad, i was suffering from epi pains, now sore anus. I stopped trying after being pressed for three days and no poo. I went to the hospital, where my anus was pumped with warm soapy water, after which i pooed. Chei hospital people ran, see smell! After that my mum made sure i ate a full paw paw each day and everything normalized. So i'll say take plenty of fruits. Remembering this just makes me shiver. Pele o. Las las, you go shit

Ph mamas, i am here again o. Please, i need your opinion on Ponyx Hospitals Ltd. DH's HMO doesn't have prime Hospital under them. We were advised to go for Ponyx Hospitals limited. Please are they good? Don't want to change from frying pan (Pamo hospital) to another hospital that is poorly staffed with bad service. Pls, would want to hear from the mamas in port Harcourt, if you have heard anything about the Ponyx Hospitals. Want to be sure before changing.

I haven't used them personally but my former neighbor was using them under shell. He also said its hospital for lots of shell workers, so it might be good. Never heard anything bad about them though but you can go and see for yourself.
