I can't date a girl I don't intend to/can't marry.

If It's okay to call my wife before my parents why shouldn't it be okay to call my girlfriend before them. She's going to be my wife. She's not just some punny device for in and out activities.

That's how I see it though... What I can do for my wife is what I will do for my girlfriend... Getting married doesn't change her per se.. it's just an institution more or less that accommodates a number of other responsibilities... So she's still the same person and holds the same position in my heart.

This is just my own ethos.

msmon: Teaching is not the most lucrative job to be honest but we often end up having more respect for our teachers more than anyone else.

It has come to my notice for long that people naturally detest they teaching job.

WHY DO YOU DETEST THE TEACHING JOB?

I personally dont detest it but I cant do it. You have to naturally have the passion for it cause its not easy and the "take home" is mostly not encouraging for the stress.

Everybody needs an education thats why they go to school...(education is getting knowledge) its either you go to school (formal or informal) to study a particular course or learn a trade, handy work or what ever. Its still called education because you are learning abt somthing you know nothing about. Am in school because, I know the importance.. but I think most people are in the "formal" setting because they were forced by thier parent or the mentality that our society has unconciously created in the minds of people, that if you dont go to sch (formal) you will be irrelevant.

Madonna offered me admission via SMS even when I didn't write JAMB and I'm sure most of you got their text message. As a matter of fact, I'm a 300L student of University of Nigeria and I will not attend a Nigerian Private University even if they offer me scholarship...

you ll agree with me that not all public schools are good same applies to the private once too. The frist time I applied to covenant university my jamb score was low I got 209 and I applied for accounting and business administration, 1st and 2nd choice respectively, buh after the cusat(aptitude test) they sent a text to my dad that my jamb score was low for the courses I wanted and we should "try again next year" (so annoying). We heard abt novena university I think its in delta state, we decided to try it out, so my dad sent som1 there to get the form for me(hoping the post ume date will be communicated to us) my dear, the guy came back with admission letter! Asin they dint even see my face, I ended up not going. My dad was like wht kind of sch give admission without seeing the student. I had to apply to CU again the next yr and I got 232 and they took me for business admin that my post ume score added up with the jamb was low for accounting. The thing just tire me.
What am trying to say is that, there are good and bad private unis just like fedral schs too. Buh where ever you find urself try to be outstanding its YOU that matters not the sch.

my friend is spilling because of DLD abi its CLD sef wht ever its called! A zero unit course o. Just so annoying, and this semester is just something else, all the lecturers are taking the attendance thingy just too personal

IMO.. I think you should have addressed this issue with him b4 now, its really not too
Late now tho, I think you should postpone the date and not cancel (you can eventually do if he doesn't change)
and a God fearing man knows his responsibility so dont be blinded by that. If you are having this problem with him npw, how do you think its going to be after marriage? A broken engagement is better than a broken marriage.

arabbunkum: I don't blame him. How many of his church members can afford to send their wards to Covenant University?

I can say like 40% of the students attend winners(so a lot of members can actually afford the fees)
