Yes I read it.. But in that sense, she doesn't have a choice than to swallow her pride and accept her fate knowing that you can't always meet up to your standard in life.. There are situations in life when you will have to compromise your standard
She doesn't seem ready to, and that's the problem here.

By the way, how have you been?

Why would a man comfortably harbour his wife in his parents house and see nothing wrong in it? Some things don't just seem right even though it's not stated in the law

Even without being married, there was a point I was no longer feeling comfortable staying under the roof of my parents not to talk of bringing a wife into the same house. I will rather leave my father's duplex and live with my wife in a one room apartment
Read the initial post well o. The guy doesn't have a problem leaving his parent's house, but the wife to be is not comfortable with the accommodation he can afford. So its safe to say, she is the one hindering him from moving. And then she isn't ready to contribute towards her supposed standards

I have a friend who is getting married soon but still lives with his parents. Although, he stays separately in another apartment but still in that same building. He said he isn't buoyant enough to rent an apartment that suit his Lady's standards.

So is it okay for him to get married in his parents house or he should just find a means to move out?
To me it's wrong.. when it gets to a certain age, a man is suppose to be on his own, doesn't matter if is just one room, be independent.

And as for the bold, I'm really not understanding I mean, I do but I don't get why that is always an issue. If she has a standard, she should help contribute towards the said standard.

if of all the plantain selling points in ur area ur brother goes ahead to buy this one, will u applaud him? As 4 me I will tag him olosho patron.
At the bold, there are alot of sellers, find the one you can afford and patronise them simple!
So if a lady goes to buy from her, she is tagged a lesbian too by you? What kind of schools do people attend sef I really don't get it, were you not taught creativity? Branding? How to stand out Or they didn't teach EDS atall? Because I'm really not understanding some comments I'm seeing here

Reference:
I'm with the lady on this one. Nigerians are besieged by poverty mentality that views cost only not considering value. No one wants to pay for anything. This rush for the bottom thinking has eroded standards, branding and professionalism. If we commanded the world thought there will be no mercedes benz, LVMH, liverpool or CNN. Look at our equivalents. Those who want to be successful are mocked and derided. Funny enough we are an import dependent people who see foreign products, services and brands and boast about them yet when it 'local' it is immediately taboo. If she was based abroad or a foreigner based in Nigeria no one will question it but excuse it. If Nigerian Neymar was bought by Enyimba for a hundred million naira all hell will be let loose. But we will be quick to engage quack 'engineers' who will work unprofessionally for peanuts and collapse all our investments and then bkame the devil.

She has set her standards and will be patronised by people of like minds. If they don't see value, they will stop. If she is responsive they will get the best plantain meal ever made and tomorrow when she hits the world stage the same Nigerians will vent again in insecure envy. That has been the story of our doctors, engineers, chefs, seamstresses, sportsmen and women who have dumped this country to locales that value their oroducts and services and have encouraged them to become successful and outstanding in their fiekds of endeavour.

Let us remain here with our crab mentality, dancing around poverty. If you cannot spend, you cannot earn and the society implodes under the suffocating weight of ignorance and backwardness. The reason Elon Musk will risk millions in space development is because he knows he wil earn billions from the products of his venture. If he was a Nigerian in Nigeria will take his money, build a hundred mansions, buy a dozen private jets and begin to sabotage political government for ekected office.

All you naysayers had better call up that lady and encourage her with objective, critical reviews rather than just criticism. Change your thinking.
Oh Reference wish I could like your post more than once! Some Nigerians are just rude, in as much as I try not to blame them for their behaviour (because their family orientation has been socialised into them and produced such "adult" ) it gets annoying sometimes. If you see it as too expensive, please go and buy under a tree. I've seen people selling just pap or just garri and making good money because of their package. While some delusional people especially on this forum will easily look down on such trade and when they see you making money from it, the next thing their tiny brains can think of if is a lady "she is into olosho" (as someone has already called her up there and if is a guy "he is into yahoo or ritual" why? because their little minds can't figure how to make money from local product.
The woman that is into Pap, Reference, she exports in large quantity abroad! Just pap o, and She sells them here in Nigeria where some people sell same pap for 10 naira, but what stands her out is her package and her target market.
Can they compare this packaged garri and pap to the ones sold in the market? Obviously the value will be different

People are just rude! If you find it too expensive, then don't buy... but it's wrong to bad mouth it. Everybody have their target market.
Like someone stated above, "mama nkechi sell it for 50 naira" then go and locate mama nkechi and buy from her. Simple.

I really hate getting into this type of convos, but you people are tiring. "We developed Lagos" - the same Lagos that houses 239 other Nigerian tribes- as though the remaining scores of tribes are useless pan-handlers. We developed Keno and P.H . . . We developed xyz . . .

Only people who have not been to the East would be fooled with the silly boasts one reads here daily.
Same question that comes to my mind too cheesy

Has it crossed your mind that your paths just never cross? You school in Bleep Community School, they go to Grange / A-Hall. You go to university in IMSU / LASU, they school abroad. You vacation in your home-town, they vacation in some exotic location. When you get to travel, you fly economy, they fly 1st class - or better still, PJ. You occasionally hang out at Quilox (regular), they are in V.I.P . . .

Even on the rare occasions you meet, you are most likely intimidated, and tongue-tied. In the even rarer occasion that you become acquainted, and you are invited to their private parties and hang-outs, you would in all likelihood not enjoy it (you are surrounded by folks casually wearing Rolexes, and talking about trips to Ibiza, and the only exotic location you have been to is Olumo rock).

My brother, the path of the rich, and poor hardly cross, and even when they do, there is no guarantee they would hit it off. Even when they hit it off, their peculiar circumstances come with its own baggage - only a spirited gold-digger would brave these without faltering.

Unless, you can prove to me that the paths of regular folks (not to mention poor), and rich folks cross frequently . . .
Exactly my point! Everybody saying "how will the money go round" like marriage is a business.
Try dating outside your social class and see how stressful it is. The two mentality won't gell atall! Except on rare occasions, and such occasions sef, if you check well, you will find out that the individual is just from a below average class while he rose to the top. Except that, mehn! It's crazy. Because anything you say innocently will be taken personal and you will be wondering if you have to rehearse everything you have to say before you talk to your own boyfriend that will turn husband.

I've got nothing to say...

The rich just wanna keep getting richer. I'm sure the love between the two if them is 20% while what each family stand to benefit from the other is 80%.

Don't let money, connection, or family determine your marriage because you alone will either enjoy or suffer it alone when a wrong choice is made. Let love be your driving force.

#TeamLove
At the bold, do you know them personally?? You guys should chill, with the kind of circle she has, how is she going to meet an average or below average person?. I really don't see anything wrong with the rich marrying the rich.. I mean marry within your social class.. it doesn't matter what class. And if you happen to marry outside it, then good, so long as you both are happy.
hating on them won't change your financial status, so you all should learn how to be happy and wish people well.
The funny thing is, those who have a problem with rich marrying rich are the ones that see marriage as a business venture. Because that's what they will have in mind. You can see comments like "how will the money go round" is that the essence of marriage? undecided

The only thing black youths are good at discussing is relationships. Go on YouTube and you'll be hard pressed to find a single black channel dedicated to talking about intellectual/scientific subjects and interesting ideas. If it's not BkChat relationship nonsense, it's make-up and hair advice. Even currently in Nigeria, if the average youth isn't talking about Big brother Naija, they are talking about football. After you all will be wondering why black societies are all backward.
If it's not relationship talk, then every lady is or wants to become a makeup artist and guys, comedian or photographers
