what happened is "self fulfilling prophecy" she had an unconcious (maybe concious) imagination in mind... that you were out to get info from her... as things unfolded and you just seemed to prove her imaginations right... its a psychological something...

You prolly should've told her you can only communicate in the evenings. She actually thought you just stole her idea of an ideal birthday bash menu and went A.W.O.L on her butt. Having said that, a professional planner, with whom you should deal, will almost never show contempt, even if you insult her intelligence. Way forward is to reach a more professional person and let them know the only times they can reach you or you, them, from the get-go.
