Please should I be worried, infact am worried my soakaway was not blinded before blocks were set on the normal ground/soil up to 6 coaches with iron rods at the four edges, just like dat on a bare soil and no hole was dug in the middle to absorb water, just pipes inside the blocks facing the soil and no beam around it too except it's going to be for the top floor before the decking.

Will water going inside make the 6" blocks too weak and later collapse because it was not blinded at the ground level, the soil there is hard clay at 6ft depth.

Since it's just 6coaches of blocks set I want to make the right decision and not regret it later

Bio-digester is the way to go when nature gets in the way (when you’re working on a site with serious water issues). I’ve only done one installation in Ajah (pump and sell area). The guy who did it used to be here but I can’t find him anymore. I think the user ID is Biofil.

Make a search for that name or probably search for “brabus Biofil” on nairaland to read more.

Will I use it again? YES!

_____

His product had his company name and phone number. It’s unlike the ones you see up and down grin without nafdac number and he has a lot of reference sites to show you.

He does even far more for mini estates.

Thanks much I'll check him out

Can you send designs without those lights? Thank you

I mean something for the minimalist

Do u construct bio-digester and bio-gas for your clients or you do the usual traditional type of septic tank and sockaway.

Which is better, if one has little or no understanding not how it works for a bio-digester?

With quality pipes, you have no worries. Exposed is ok if you feel it does not disfigure the building.

Thks bro

Is it better to run pipes underground passing through the room linking outside to the sockaway or let the pipe pass outside the normal way exposed.

I'm just scared of the 6inch pipes underground years later having any issues that will warrant the pipes to be pulled out, thereby destroying the tiles to get access to the pipe

Yes it will save client some cost
You just need to add little to daily pay to worker with good expert supervision to achieve this.

This will save you about 250-300k to do outside wall screeding of a duplex.

I'll be ready to do this few months from now by God's grace.
I wanted to know if there's anything extra that will be added to the cement and plaster sand to give a very smooth like screeding wall to the uncorrected block work

The greatest determinant is just the shape of the land. A plot of land could have a great rectangular shape, it can also be badly shaped that it will not contain anything great.

True that

Thanks chief
We are trying to see how we can reduce uses of outside screeding for the purpose of wall (smoothing) in most of our work to save clients some cost. Unless if it’s for another purpose.
Bcs I can see that most screeding now is to correct walls that are not well plastered.

And come to think of it, you hardly see such in old building and there wall finishings are superb.

Here are some pics of our diff site location plastering work.

This would be very helpful to manage funds

grin

You can’t open it easily. It’s designed that you can open only one partition or both. There are locks in the areas numbered.

If he’s going for the operable louvred design, ventilation or lighting won’t be an issue. It’s just the same concept as a window blind.

Ok this is nice

I think it is better done with windows. how much with this type of window including installation. black glass black aluminum
Please more explanation on the bolded

How do one get ventilation using this type of casement window at night, sure they'll be net inside in window but is the net iron net and lockable? Because those guys can just jump into ur compound especially bungalows, open it unknowingly wen u're sleeping and move out things even with the burglary attached.

I think sliding window is still the best net out, net in and can be open freely at night ‍♂️

Metcopo really dealt with me and my workers back then. There was a time I was living in dread of the rainy season because many of my clients will be calling for a repair of leaking roofs, even my own house built with Metcopo leaked till last year. I run away when anyone mentions Metcopo.

Please I want to know a friend of mine is seriously contemplating if he should use Gerald roofing, long span steptiles or metcopo for his building. The engineer is insisting he use Gerald to bring out the beauty of the precast parapet work and for him not to regret later on using metcopo.

I want to know can't long span steptiles or metcopo be use on parapet must it be Gerald roofing sheet? Most of if not all buildings around here with precast or cast parapets uses Gerald roofing sheets
